A period hotel, well situated for the shops and restaurants and a walk to The Beacon, and a good base for exploring Malvern and surrounding areas.
Situated on several levels with a few awkward steps and sharp turns

The room was nicely decorated and well cleaned by the housekeeper. All staff very friendly, I would like to point out the young lady at the breakfast who did exceptionally great job being very polite and professional.
The room and the facilities are all good in general.
Location is excellent in town.
I have to mention the price. On beside of the good service and good location this facility still overpriced. For the exact same price I can have a suit in a Hilton in a big city downtown.

Convenient, close to amenities, and great views. The bed was comfortable and the room had the promised views!
The hotel facilities and services were scant at times. Our shower room was very small with limited space for belongings. On our second day breakfast was busy, I waited over 20 minutes for a small pot of tea, as the only waiter struggled to provide breakfast services.

Friendly staff,
Room rather tired, floor extremely creakie, ensuite very poor for room cost. Noisy road during rush hour and one only road side window would open, bay windows sealed shut
Public ares carpets poor

Ok
All the emails before with masses of dog's and don't plus room pokey and poor. Reception poor.

Position of hotel
There was a large burn in bedroom carpet, the room was small, no outlook as promised, we were looking at a wall with peeling paint. Other carpet on stairs was threadbare. Staff throwing out empty bottles in early hours of the morning. Breakfast on Saturday morning no cups no cutlery, coffee luke warm.

Lovely position, interesting building and history. Comfortable room.
Room a little too warm- even with the radiator off. Beds very firm.

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here , well located for anyone walking around Malvern . Room was comfortable and breakfast was lovely . Very few places include breakfast in the price you pay but this hotel does . So makes it better value

Staff were brilliant and restaurant lovely. Bed clean and comfy.
Outdated and crumbling room, woodlouse in bathroom, black mold in shower. Room right on the car park, curtains didn't fit the window.

The receptionist went out of her way to provide a Christmas lunch just for me. It was very nice.
The room was a shocker - fit for free use of the staff maybe. It was at the back of the kitchens with all the attendant
noise including the swilling of buckets late in the small courtyard, therefore could not open curtains. Economy ? one very small piece of soap, and a 'clean' towel with crusty brown streaks !! the door lock did not work properly and there was a loft hatch in the room. It was very very small.
The Christmas breakfast had shorter hours and I was 10 minutes late. I just wanted toast and coffee but only persuaded the
young waiter to give me coffee. He said because its christmas - well mine too. For £100/night such an hotel should oblige with toast and coffee any time of day. They have their own public restaurant attached too.

The hotel was very nice, in a perfect location for Malvern town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice. We would definitely stay again.
Minor points but the TV was on the small size and the bed was a bit too soft for us (but that's obviously a matter of preference)

Very clean room, polite staff. Enjoyed the swiftly delivered hot breakfast Good car park for our car transporter truck which was a blessing. Thank you Melvyn Rutter - Morgan Main Dealer
Triton electric shower was like standing under a watering can, very weak.
Towels in the en-suite were a tad small

The room was clean and adequate, but quite small and claustrophobic, especially when the curtains were closed.
The breakfast was good
The location was good as it was quite central
Parking was good
The room could have been a bit larger especially as it was classed as a double room.
The shower was very small and very inadequate
The douvet was very lumpy and uncomfortable

First room I was shown suffered severe damp. Also it was dark and looked into a wall. It should not be sold as a hotel room.

The hotelroom we booked had a very nice view, good location although on a rather busy road. They were upgrading the hotel at the moment we stayed by putting a large terrace next to the hotel. The hotel has easy access to the Malvern hills.
Parking area next to the hotel.
The interior could use a bit of an upgrade (common parts such as hallway, staircase...).

Lovely location
There were a lot of stairs! My room located some distance from reception

Fabulous room (no. 1): large, airy, incredible view.
Walk-in shower cubicle
Many stairs.
No lounge.

The standard double room we booked was quite different from the photos on the website.
Although currently undergoing refurbishment, the hotel is pretty crummy for the price paid.

Lovely looking building in beautiful spot overlooking the town of Great Malven with the hills behind. Booked an economy double room. It was quite basic and very small, particularly the shower room, but clean and comfortable enough. Overall a pleasant stay and the staff we encountered we all friendly.
Breakfast was nice, not amazing but fine. A bigger choice of continental breakfast would have been nice as choice quite limited, no pasties , croissants etc.

Location is good, however, they had a tina turner tribute act on so was no parking in the evening, parked about 300m on the road side. Seemingly hotel guests come second despite very expensive price of rooms.
Got told at check in there was a Tina Turner tribute act on. If had been made aware of this which the hotel had every chance to do would not have stayed. Very noisy, could hear it in all.three rooms i had booked for people. Outside room 108 could aslo hear bottles being thrown out. Door to room 108 has gaps in it, fan too loud to have one. No parking available due to number of people at tribute night. Parker on road side 300m from hotel and had to bring car back down in the morning. Dangerous step in the breakfast room, sign for it is facing wrong direction.

Good location, very pleasant staff, nothing too much trouble, room has everything you need for a short stay, excellent choice for breakfast, would highly recommend.
Nothing at all.

Good location with easy access to the hills.
The room was clean, tidy and comfortable.
Breakfast freshly cooked with plenty of choices.
The staff very welcoming and helpful.
There was some work on a terraced area outside the window which we were not warned about. Limited parking spaces.

Close to theatre & restaurants
Outside walkto extension. Could hear neighbours.

Great location for walking on the hills and for exploring the town.
The coffee at breakfast could have been a little stronger, but that's the only complaint from hardened coffee drinkers!

excellent location and friendly staff
bit of kitchen noise in our bedroom and no view as at the back

The staff were lovely, the hotel has a very attractive bar and restaurant area and its location is extremely convenient in the centre of Great Malvern, directly above the Abbey, with amazing views and parking available for guests. The hotel is also next to one of many lovely green spaces, with the steps to the famous St Anne's Well starting from there.
Our room, on the other hand, was small and incredibly hot - a fan was provided which we had on all the time. We didn't try and get the room changed as there was a wedding going on and it didn't seem a good idea; we did have to go down at 23:30 and ask for the fire exit door to be shut so we could get some sleep as the music was blaring, but it did all stop at midnight anyway. We were unlucky with our room, they will have better ones but we advise not having Room 7! We didn't eat at the hotel, other than breakfast, as we were at a wedding elsewhere so can't comment on the food; breakfast was good, though.

Hotel has undergone a very nice refurbishment since I last stayed.
Staff helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was superb. Heavenly smells from the restaurant at night but unfortunately I was eating elsewhere.
I asked for a quiet room and got one.
Refreshingly, it has the feel of a small, non chain hotel which I loved. I would book again for sure.
There are a lot of steps but no lift. There were steep, narrow steps in my room leading up to the bed. I found them difficult. Some guests might have more difficulty. However, I loved the room otherwise and I understand that this room is to be reorganised with easier steps and a sitting room rather than the kitchenette. Perhaps the hotel might say in advance that there is no lift and some/one room has internal streps. If they did, I missed it. I would still book again.
I managed to park at the hotel but they do not allow reserved parking and there are a few more rooms than parking spaces.

The room was very small (No7) but we were only there for the one night so perfectly acceptable.
Perfect location and plenty of free parking on site.
Nice clean place with welcoming staff.
We would definitely return.
The only thing that we saw was an issue was the service at breakfast. It was not acceptable to wait that amount of time and it was all tables.

In the perfect location for our trip and had parking
The tea and coffee making facilities weren’t very generous ! Towels maybe need upgrading too.
4.0
Breakfast was good. Checkin and checkout was quick.
No wash cloths. Towels were threadbare; not what I would expect for the amount I paid for this room. Construction crew in the garden was quite noisy but did stop working at a reasonable time.

Staff were friendly and generally helpful. Mulberry restaurant was good.
Our bedroom (16) was cold, and no heating was on when we needed it.
Dangerous small staircase linked the bathroom and lower level to the sleeping area, which was very small
