Location was ok . The house keeper was good
Didn’t like the noise from the street . The towels were terrible for drying . There was an awful smell in the cupboard where the microwave was smelt like curry or similar . Was more dated than expected and poor lighting .

I had a wonderful stay at Abbey motor lodge. The service was exceptional, and I truly appreciated the attention to detail, such as the fresh towels provided daily. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained.
One of the highlights was the perfect location—just a short walk from the city, making it easy to explore and enjoy all the nearby attractions.
Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend this accommodation, especially for its prime location and excellent service.
Unfortunately, I did experience an issue with the smell of cigarette smoke, which detracted slightly from an otherwise perfect stay.

Clean and spacious
Didn't appear to have air conditioning and it was very hot. Fortunately we were able to leave the balcony door open over night.

The room was very clean and spacious. I had actually booked at 136 on Bealey, but we were moved to the Belmont on Bealey due to a change of circumstances at the original hotel so it's hard to review based on a different location. We were advised the booking would be the same as it was an affiliated hotel, which was mostly correct. The air con worked well - it was hot the first two days! My room was much bigger than booked - I had booked a Queen studio but ended up with a 1 bedroom with a queen bed and two singles.
Please note: this is for the Belmont on Bealey. The main bed was very soft, but there were two single beds so I could sleep in one of them for more comfort. We had booked for unlimited ultra-fast WiFi but at the Belmont it kicked you off if you exceeded 10GB a day which made watching a movie on my tablet a hassle. And no streaming facility on the in room tv. The seating area wasn't covered, so nowhere to sit outside when it rained.

Our room was lovely to stay in Wheelchair friendly and across the road from Southern Cross Hospital and the owner/caretaker was lovely and helpful
Found that it was very hard to stay as had young people upstairs think they may have been staying there for sometime as they were talking to people in the carpark from the deck upstairs around 2 am and this woke me up and was not able to go back to sleep and as just come out of hospital found it very hard on me

Good location
Obviously an emergency housing motel. The people in room next door were continually going in and out as the sliding door was noisy. Bathroom had someone else’s underwear behind the door yuck!

TV had YouTube and Netflix. WiFi was fast. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was spacious, great water pressure. Good value for money. Host was very friendly and welcoming
Very noisey because it is right next to the road. Heater wasn't working.

The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Nice and close to where we needed to be for the evening (gig at the town hall) and the rooms were easy to pop in and out of as required. The beds were also reasonably comfortable.

The bed!
Traffic was rather noisy in the morning but the bed was super comfortable!

Convenience to downtown city and cafe next door. Just a ten minute walk to a steak and ale house restaurant.
A bit tired and cleaning could have been better. I have stayed at better for less money.

The location was excellent as my husband had a PET scan at Pacific radiology just across the road
Just there were no facilities to wash your dishes etc other than that couldn't fault it

Noisy party next door most of the night but not the motels fault

Room key was missing on arrival so although we could check in to our room, we were unable to go anywhere until the room key was sourced and given to us. I was then double charged for my stay and after months of emailing back and forth for a refund, still no refund has been provided. Very disappointing service. Will not be back.
