Poor for a mercure

The location is good.

The staff was incredibly rude upon arrival, told me i didnt have a booking despite arriving with a confirmation email. Then questioned me being there. Despite asking for late check out i was knocked by the cleaner every hour past 9am. Its super loud so dont expect any sleep past 7am once people start leaving their rooms. I arrived at 4am after a long drive and working all day. Do not recommend to stay here if you need a good night sleep after working late.

Convenient

Very convenient, two minutes from Paddington Station and Heathrow Express.

Rooms small so had to pay for an Executive room to get more space. Breakfast the worst I have had anywhere, not what you expect from a Mercure.

It was good but could be better improved

Very accessible to Paddington station. It's nearby or the centre of attractions. Pleasing staff and they upgraded us to an executive suite. They even accommodated our luggages for a few hours when we had to go around and check out some things while waiting to be boarded to our flight home.

There was construction at the time we arrived (Feb 13-Feb 15,2024) the entire entrance was almost blocked and very hard to access with our luggages that is was a challenge for us. A ramp or a sign could be helpful for people checking in, I don't know if they have control of it or was the city but it was a disaster. Also the breakfast buffet could be served more food on the tables. Felt it was inadequate as compared to other hotels that we checked in. The waiter was nice, but I felt I was asking too much whenever I asked for eggs or other foods to be served. Not sure if they are trying to hold preparing food for budget or what not. There is also one card key allowed, which if you use the gym, fitness centre, you have to request access again, that disables the other card. Lastly the A/C was quite noisy and we don't seem to quite get how to operate it properly.

small, old, there was an alarm ringing in the morning for no specific reason and no notification, elevator did not work at the time of arrival so we need to use stairs.

The location was convenient. That was about it

The price for the ridiculous small “double room”. Was absolutely not a double- it was a small double bed in a single room. The blind was broken The hair dryer didn’t work The bed side lamp didn’t work The sink was blocked and nearly flooded There was no hot water

Great location, hotel needs refurbished and star downgraded

Location right next to Paddington station and reception staff were very nice , also helped when I requested a late check out.

Underwhelmed by the actual room, rated 4 stars which it isn’t ! Booking.Com stated I had been upgraded , which the staff knew nothing about ( false advertising by Booking.Com) regardless if was the upgraded room I’d hate to see what the original room looked like !

Location

Had two standard room booked but was provided with small room instead. After discussing the issue one room was changed to the standard room the other accepted as it was since only one person was staying in it. New standard room provided had no deposit box and no wardrobe just a hangar

Very convenient location.

Very convenient, it’s near the Paddington Station thru train and bus stops as well. There is an elevator if needed. A wide variety of restaurants in front of the hotel.

The room is small than what is expected. A little space if you have a lot of luggage or even huge one.

The convenience to Paddington station is what makes this hotel a really good option.

Inititially they could not find my booking. Allowed an early check-in. The room faced a construction site and Paddington station so it was not a quiet room. It did not bother me though. Room is small and the first room did not have a chair for the desk. I did not think to ask for one, the second room did have a chair. The free biscuit / cookies, water and Coke were a nice touch. Shower was excellent. I changed rooms as a result of extending my stay.
