A very welcoming venue we will be back!

The room was big and the staff was very friendly.
A lot of noise from the street, especially early in the morning.
3.6
Great location, welcoming team who left an easter egg for our daughter which delighted her!
3.6
Mattress and pillows were comfy. Glad to find some coffee and tea making facilities in the room as very little else. Large over head shower was good once the hot water came through. Restaurant produced nice food with good service. Central location.
Unfortunately quite noisy from the nightclub next door. Facilities in room were very limited. Woken by what sounded like a boiler banging away at 6.50am. Hot water also took an age to come through in both sink and the shower unless used in morning. Shower also leaked and flooded floor around the bath.
3.6
Clean and comfortable. Lovely room. Helpful friendly staff. Great Central location.
Nothing to dislike

Staff were lovely, breakfast was good
Had the king suite and the curtains were stained, the floor was stained, the mini fridge wasn’t cold, the bed was like stone
3.6
It had nice staff and close to main centre
Dirty, stain on sheets from a previous period of what it looked like, rips in curtains flashing light above bed all night, bright hallways coming through room all night , not enough pillows
3.6
Incredibly clean and beautiful room, staff were absolutely fantastic and incredibly accommodating.
Everything was perfect!
3.6
Staff were great, room was fine,
I had random guests banging on my own bedroom door at 02.00 and again at 03.00 as they were clearly drunk and thought it was their room. I got no sleep after 02.00 and it ruined my meetings the next day, which was the whole reason for being there.
3.6
Location perfect, room a little tired but acceptable
3.6
Beautiful building , large rooms and high ceilings made the room feel spacious.
Parking was a nightmare, we had to park in the multi storey down the high street. We had to carry our heavy bag down the stairs and through town back to the hotel
Not a nice way to start your stay .
3.6
Location couldn’t be any better so central
Car park was very tight but only a small minor as plenty of parking else where nearby
3.6
Friendly staff and ideal location
Late check out of 12pm but the cleaner came in at 10am whilst one of us was changing. Some of the furnishings were tired and the
Coffee machine and
Kettle had to be plugged into an extension cable reel!
3.6
Location good very tired hotel staff lovely ☺️
Towels thin hard carpets old bar drab
3.6
The upgrade was lovely, room was big
The breakfast was, quite poor for the money. Lots of things run out and we kept having to ask for things.
Our room although lovely and big was on the main road and was very noisy
3.6
Central To Everything. Parking Onsite.
The Shower In The Bathroom Needs Updating. Second Time Staying Here And Both Times Shower Didn’t Work Too Well. When In The Holder It Turns Towards The Inside Wall.

Grand old hotel in great location
beds and pillows were hrs and uncomfortable
wallpaper (ball of pink wool ??)- so out of keeping with the grandeur of the old hotel
3.6
Location is great
The lift was out of order
3.6
Very friendly and welcoming staff. Lovely clean and sizable room. An excellent choice for the breakfast menu and worth the additional fee.
Uncomfortably hot in the room through the night, there didn't appear to be anywhere in the room to control the heating. Did not expect to pay for parking being a resident at the hotel.

We’ve stayed here last September and thus time stayed in a Privilege King room, was spacious and very good accessories in the bathroom
There was a wedding Saturday night and the celebrations were very loud and seemed to go on forever

Location
Room, bathroom, bed, bar area, check out queue too long with a distracted receptionist. Email receipt promised and not arrived. Like most hotels breakfast is all or nothing at £12.50 - had to go to a local café for tea and toast @ reasonable £4.00. I had missed that car parking was an extortionate £12. Poor accommodation, poor facilities and not value for money as an experience .

The lady at reception was very helpful upon arrival and during my brief stay.
Unfortunately my room (316) backed onto the lift shaft which meant there was almost continuous noise into the night. No air conditioning, the room was still very hot following the past days hot weather, could only open the window very slightly to let in the cool evening air. £15 for breakfast struck me as being excessive given the quality. The biggest moan was the single coffee machine in the breakfast room; both mornings I queued for over 15 minutes just for hot water for my tea.

I liked the single room, as it made it easier for me to adjust to travelling without my husband, who died 14 months ago. The bed was comfortable, and it had plenty of sockets to charge phones etc. The location was perfect: right in the middle of town.
It was a little stuffy and over warm, but that's because I was too tired to find the windows that opened. I would have liked another pillow or cushion. The TV didn't have sound. And there was a fault with the lighting, that was fixed during my absence.

The staff are simply exceptional. They make you feel so special.
Nothing!
3.6
Very friendly staff
very basic room with very little ventilation or air conditioning
