Great position in the city. Walking distance to city and university. Staff were very welcoming and polite. Rooms good quality for price and very clean
We were upgraded to a family room which was great to get a bigger bed and worth it for that but we had no view and the Pipeworks outside were a little noisy at times.
4.5
Email response to a question was immediate, staff were great (especially waiter service at breakfast), best thing had to be the wonderful breakfast - black pudding included - way I judge a proper full English breakfast :)
Parking is literally opposite the hotel in a council owned car park which is overlooked (safe and cheap).
Double bed was extremely comfortable and room and bathroom spotlessly clean.
Will certainly stay here again on our next trip to Exeter

Staff were excellent, it was all very smooth and straightforward with an excellent and quiet location. Room was very spacious.
4.5
Friendly staff, comfortable room, great breakfast with lots of options
5.0
Very lovely. The bathroom looked newly done. The location was perfect — close to restaurants with a short walk.
1.5
Staff very helpful
The room was way too hot and we could not even stay in it. The price of the room was extremely high for a low quality hotel room and clearly had just been put up for graduation week. I expected more for the £330 I paid for one night accommodation. All furniture was extremely dated and generally tired looking
5.0
Easy access, close to town centre and train station.

Staff were very kind and the rooms very nice and clean. The location is fantastic for exploring the town and we had a lovely stay - it's just a little difficult to find a parking space but we were lucky.
3.5
Excellent breakfast, very good staff,
Bed a bit too soft

Very clean hotel. Lovely staff. Breakfast was fantastic. Would stay at this hotel again and highly recommend
Mattress was a little soft on the bed
3.0
The breakfast was very limited and they can do more to make their breakfast more diversified and healthier
Breakfast and comfort in the rooms
4.5
We were warmly welcomed and all members of staff were courteous and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and it was an easy. mostly flat walk to the city centre. Parking was available on the quiet streets by the hotel, with a £5 per day permit from reception. There is also a car park directly in front of the hotel, which is convenient but more expensive!! The breakfast choice was extensive and very good.
We liked it all and will go back if we visit Exeter again.
4.5
Great location, excellent, friendly and efficient staff, they went the extra mile and had a lovely balance of attention.
Breakfast was lovely, a nice selection to choose from.
The floors are uneven in places but thats part of the character for an old building... some places more uneven than others, but this didn't take away from our stay.
Large crack in wall/ceiling in our room. - didnt take away from the stay.

4.5
Lovely, friendly, helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Convenient location. Large rooms with proper sized desk and bathtub. Great range of teas to choose from.
Loud music one night from adjoining building, but not really fault of hotel, though retrofitting old windows with double glazing would reduce noise.
3.0
good location and well stocked
staff was not particularly helpful when there was a tech issue and I had to resolve myself with a chance I wouldn’t have a room

Have stayed here several times. Convenient for centre of Exeter and train stations, comfortable, friendly staff and good breakfast.
The hot water wasn’t very hot, so long, hot bath before going out turned into a quick dip!
4.5
Great Location close to station. Comfy room and great breakfast.
4.0
lovely staff, fab breakfast, quiet location but so easy to get to everything.
decor is a bit dated and I would have preferred a blind in the bathroom as it was very overlooked. There isn’t a lot of parking.
3.5
Superb staff and breakfast!
Hot Water Luke warm and rooms in need of revamp!

A very pleasant boutique hotel, with helpful and courteous staff and good facilities. Breakfast service was efficient. Room was spacious and comfortable. An easy walk from Exeter St David’s rail station
No complaints
4.5
super breakfast with continental choices and hot breakfast cooked to order. Tea in pots, much nicer than usual grotty machine.
The staff were flexible and helpful, especially Alfie and Muray who both deserve medals for their excellent customer service.
Parking was cheap for Exeter at £5 a night but not always possible to park right outside - although there is the option of doing so if you pay the higher city council car park charges as there is a car park right outside.
4.0
The most welcoming place I’ve stayed in a long time.
