Very convenient for climbing Kinder Scout and going to Chatsworth House. Comfortable room. Slightly worn room but everything functioned OK. Very pleasant staff. Excellent catering coping with gluten free requirements. The bed was particularly comfortable. The garden was pleasant as were the hotel surroundings.
Crossing the road from the car park was not a problem as the main road was shut. The TV control was a bit worn and it was difficult to turn the TV on but it wasn't a problem as the loose floor tile in the bathroom was not a problem.

Old type traditional Inn. seen Cosy used to describe before & that would be right. Good off road Car Parking.
Nothing really, TV in the end room needs checking out, re reception, kept going off, that’s about it. Room was very clean.
Disappointed with the croissant breakfast though. Croissant was slightly burned we didn’t get the pastries. All other food good.

Everything was great, my only comment would be the mattress was a little uncomforable, would benefit greatly from a topper but a minor point really.

Very cosy welcoming bar and restaurant. Roaring fire in the grate when we arrived. The staff and service was very good and the food was excellent.
The decor in our room was slightly dated. The room was very clean and comfortable and there was a convector heater provided to top up the heating.
