It was an amazing stay with access to private onsens and super friendly staff!

It was a wonderful stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was truly a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend.

Amazing ryokan experience with great location.

Amazing room, loved the design and look and feel (junior suite). Very good location close to train station but also the onsens.

Happy to come back some day!

They staff was very nice and accomodating. I was running late and could have missed dinner but when I messaged them earlier, they were very understanding. Yukata was nice but confusing to wear which the staff gladly helped with. Futon was very comfortable, good location right next to the station. Good food. There was also quite a bit of stairs to go up but the staff helped with our luggage which was great.

Nothing in particular. Theres no shower inside the ryokan but we didn’t need one as you wash yourself around the onsen.

A great ryokan for traveling

Friendly staff, excellent service & food!!! -They prepped and changed sheets/futon daily -4 private onsen options are convenient alternatives to the public onsens -Yukatas (color and basic ones) provided daily -Ryokan etiquette may be confusing for foreigners -Convenient location to the supermarket and JR station

-Breakfast and dinner times are preset - if you're late on the train, you may miss dinner -Private onsens not available before 6:30am -Couldn't pick dinner options - would've liked seafood more than sukiyaki in the summer -Communication may be hard without basic Japanese

Conveniently located afew minutes walk from the station. Easy for luggage commute. Central location to the 7 public onsens, shops and food. Room was very traditional, extremely clean, well lit and cool. The futon mattress bed was most comfortable had all the amenities you'd need. Private onsens were great if you found one that was unoccupied. Was a Lovely little place in the world. Check in and out was painless.

No Individual shower, but wasn't a deal breaker.

Family of 6 adults + 1 toddler's stay

The staff at Mikuniya were so welcoming from the moment we entered their establishment. They took us in and brought us to our rooms, explained everything in detail and helped the females put on their yukatas beautifully. Their 4 private onsens were perfect for us as we had a toddler who wasn't comfortable in the public ones. Their set meal dinner and breakfast were not only visually stunning but had generous amounts of food. It was such a great experience and I highly recommend Mikuniya to everyone.

This Ryokan was excellent and we will stay at this place again when visiting Kinosaki.

The Japanese breakfast had a lot of variety and was tasty and delicious. My wife enjoyed the private onsen because she doesn't go to the public onsens.

I enjoyed everything but my wife didn't like walking up and down the stairs.

Big room size. Public onsen in the hotel can be used privately (lock the door). Service is exceptional.

Location is closer to the train station. 5 to 10 minutes walk to most popular public onsen.

We enjoyed our stay!! We loved Kinosaki!!

Location was excellent!!! Very close to the station and the Main Street. Walking along the river was great for both day&night time. Both dinner and breakfast were good portion and delicious, especially steamed rice itself was soooo good!!

I preferred plain “haori” (women yukata jacket)

Everything was perfect. No complaints! Would be happy to stay again.

Fantastic owners, very personable. Rode in after travelling on a bike, and they were able to help me with luggage as well as set me up with a great biking parking space. Very friendly and kind and recommended places to eat, see, and go to (with honest feedback). Fantastic amenities, especially the private onsen(s) to which they had 3 of. Breakfast was also superb (traditional Japanese breakfast).

Great traditional-style Ryokan. The on site private onsens were a treat. Nice in room hot pot dinner and a lovely breakfast in a shared space. Very nice and attentive staff.
