My partner and I enjoyed 2 weeks at Turtle Eco Park as part of a 3 week trip to Sri Lanka. Looking for rest and renewal we were drawn to the location of this property as well as the very convenient pool! The location honestly is absolutely perfect. Steps from the beach and views of turtles and whales, and so many great restaurants within walking distance. On arrival the helpful staff instantly helped us rent an affordable scooter to get around, and were always on hand to give advice, recommendations and just a friendly smile. We loved the gardens, pool and great sized rooms. We honestly enjoyed the best holiday at Turtle Eco Beach and will definitely return.

The location is perfect, its clean and quiet. The hotel itself has the most beautifully maintained garden, very serene and clean. The rooms are very clean with strong aircon. The beach is a few steps away .
The staff are exceptionally friendly. We felt fully refreshed after our stay here and wish we could have stayed longer.
If you're looking for somewhere calm, beautiful and easy access to other beaches to explore this is a great spot.

Location was perfect. Staff extremely friendly and the swimming pool is a bonus, however we just jumped in it the first day briefly. The outdoor toilet was very beautiful. Michelle, the owner is a very interesting person and you can have very nice conversations about art and Sri Lanka. Always smiley and available
The interiors needs some upgrade. The rooms look old and the wardrobe was a bit shabby and smelled of mould. When you open the room at the end of the day you smell it. The breakfast was very basic but appreciated

Very nice for a couple of days. We enjoyed the pool, garden and our room. The highlight was our outdoor shower, I am not sure which room number we had but this room was perfect for us. The pool is very long and perfect for morning or afternoon swim. The garden is very green and a tiny bit jungle vibe. Very good location with walking distance surf, local food, massages, coffee and sunset drinks
Maybe the sunbeds can do with new/ different fabric. they are black and hot with the sun. But that is a minor thing and more a tip for management.

Provided good breakfast

It is a beautiful hidden gem. The pool is good for a swim I. the hot afternoon. You just walk over the street and you are in front of the beach.

This is our second stay in the hotel. Everything was perfect. Lovely place, near the beach with turtles.
7.0
Gorgeous outdoor bathroom, nice pool and outdoor area to hang out and meet new friends. The beach is just across the street so bring (or rent) your snorkeling gear.
Don´t miss out a lunch or dinner at a small place called Swell!
The price was high, dark room, no refill of water or cleaning of room or patio/chairs and a Sri Lankan twist to the breakfast would have been appreciated.

Loved the spirit of the place, the inventiveness, the natural surroundings, attitude of the management, uniqueness of architecture, the pool, the location, and the efforts to make all of these happen.

Location realy nice and very close to the beach.
Breakfast was so so, coffee not nice.
Swimming pool was crowded.
Rooms needs deep cleaning.
8.0
Nice garden, near the beach and nice places, great swimming pool. Nice room, large bathroom, comfortable beds. Friendly staff, good advice and service.
Breakfast was tasty, fresh fruit, toast, juice eggs and coffee tea. Perhaps a bit more variation would be nice, for example yoghurt etc. Also would like to have a water kettle in the room.
6.0
superficially beautiful with great pool. Excellent water pressure and aircon works well.
Too many unnecessary niggles.
1st room was massive with outside bathroom, but drain completely blocked with hair! (easier to unblock myself than ask them to do it... but YUK!), Towels covered in gekko poop (why not fresh?), all metal fixtures rusty and rotten, chairs broken and towel rail half hanging off. the place just needs a bit more care! Also our outside seating area had 2 water leaks (one roof drain/gutter, but it hadn't rained, other upstairs aircon?... or Bathroom!?!) that made it impossible to sit there. Again, a bit yuk! (this was mentioned twice... nothing happened).
We did extend our stay (couldn't be bothered to move for such a short extension), but moved to a smaller room. This room also came with its own niggles, like curtains that don't quite fit the windows. The toilet is open, behand a wall at the head of the bed... so, don't go here if you're not ready for your traveling companion to hear you on the toilet ; ) and the shower that splashes water into a puddle at the side of the bed and onto the bottom of the Mozzie Net (essential as there are many more Mozzies here that anywhere else we went to in Madiha).
Really odd response from the manager for my review! As stated, it could be an awesome place... But they are clearly not resolving (or even acknowledging) the small issues that stop it being awesome. It is one of the most expensive hotels in the area... It is not currently the best! I won't apologise for expecting better than pay more, get less! I wish you every success in the future. You can take my advice or leave it. It makes no difference to me. bonne chance!

The staff was very attentitive and friendly.
The 25m pool was amazing. Short walk to a beach where you can snorkel with seaturtles.
The wifi in the pool area was excellent, not as good in the room but I still got some reception in the room I stayed in.
Calm and beautiful area and a few excellent restaurants around the corner.
On Saturday's there's a party at the restaurant two doors down that had really loud music.
It is not the hotels fault but a good idea to bring earplugs if you are planning on staying on a Saturday and not planning to join the party.

Old school vibes of a more simple time
WiFi could be extended a bit further

Nice room design! Breakfast was very good- tea/coffee, fruit juice, fruit plate, eggs, toast and butter and jam. Staff were good and the owner was attentive and helpful. Amazing location.
Our room was near the back and we did not get any Wi-Fi signal unfortunately. At night, nearby music can be heard (sometimes into the morning). We had issues with the water not warming up in the outside shower.

Turtle Eco Beach is an absolute sanctuary, right by the beach and very quiet. The rooms are awesome, we especially loved the outdoor bathroom, and of course the pool area is magnificent.
The hosts are exceptionally friendly, helpful and put an effort into making your stay very special.

We had room 10 which was on the first floor at the back of the property, very private with beautiful views and our own secluded terrace. Marvelous great bathroom with rainshower. The room was spacious and A/C worked well. The mosquitonetting surrounding the large bed was also nice to have. In the background you can hear the surf, mixed with the sound of the parrots and peacocks. Host Michel and his staff will do anything to make you enjoy your stay, great breakfast, juices and service ! A nice natural pool with plenty of shade when required, with plenty of sunbeds too.
The "house-own" Tuk-Tuk driver Amal was a nice extension to the very nice and helpful staff, always there when required, no distance or time was too much.
Unfortunately we did not have a chair at the desk in our room but that was OK as there was no wifi in the room so we could not work anyway. The wifi in the public zone at the reception however worked fine.

Friendly manager, organized us PCR testing for the flights and other things what we asked.
Intresting solution of the Bathroom, where bathroom was like main room and bigger than our room.
Nice pool where to relax, nearby some restaurants.
Considering the price the place was a bit tired, rooms are dark and wifi was poor in our rooms.

The whole place is beautiful - garden is stunning, and the pool under palm trees is very cozy. The staff and the owner are extremely nice and helpful. A lot of nice restaurants and a beautiful beach with big turtles swimming next to you. We totally recommend this place, especially if you are a plant lover!
