Sehr fürsorglich.

The owner Mr. Yoo is very helpful and gives you a lot of information about the city and the hiking tours through the park. You can see that a lot of care has been invested into the hostel and everything is very cozy. It is conviniently located not far from the intercity bus terminal (not to confuse with the express bus terminal!), close to a bus stop that takes you to the park, and somewhere between the beach and the market area. Everything is clean and it is pretty quiet.
As much as I hate to write something negative here, the bed I had was a nightmare, it was way to hard for my taste. I was seriously considering switching to another place, because after the first night with not much sleep I was hurting all over. The second night after a long day of hiking it was a little better.

Perfect onboarding, lots of information at arrival to explore the city and national park. Bus station less then 5min by feet to catch the 1st Bus to the National Park, comfortable rooms with a fridge and super quiet at night.

I loved everything about The House Hostel. Everything felt like home. Thank you so much Mr. Yoo and to your mom.

The location was excellent, 3 minutes walk to the bus station to Seoul, close to the fish market, restaurants and cafes.
Yoo is very friendly and gives a detailed explanation of the area and seoraksan.
Highly recommended for a short stay!

The staff was super nice and helpful, the whole place has a nice vibe. The kitchen / breakfast room is very cosy and nice to hang in. There's a big parking behind the hostel and the location is very convenient and close to the market / restaurants. It's a great place to stay if you plan to visit Sokcho / Seoraksan. The bathroom was spacious and nice.
The room in itself was pretty small and quite "cheap / basic" in terms decor / comfort and could use an slight upgrade. The bedding was too hard for me.

I really enjoyed the private room, very clean bathroom and reaaally good location! Very easy to walk everywhere, or take the bus (right around the corner) to go to the national park.
The walls are kind of thin. But it is a hostel, so no hard feelings.

Location and owner were great! I was checking in late and the owner called me to confirm and tell me which room I was in and where the key was left.
Pillows and bed were not the most comfortable.

- great location
- nice room and breakfast included
everything was amazing!

Mr Yoo (the host) is very approachable. Cleanliness is great. I love the fact that there are extra layers given to cover the mattress, blanket and pillows for hygienic purposes. the location is great, if on foot is preferred, it takes 15-20min walk to most attractions and beaches, pavilion. Bus stops are very accessible too, merely 5 min away, especially intercity bus terminal. private toilet to myself! you will not be lost from intercity bus terminal, online navigation is easy and the guesthouse name is hanging high, can be easily seen from afar.

The hostel has a good vibe and the location is very decent. The rooms are well equipped with a fridge and airconditioning. The hostel's living room is cosy and a good place to meet other guests from all over the world. The location is good with many restaurant options in the area.
