I came to this lodge for my honeymoon with my husband. We were so excited to come to this place as the photographs & the reviews were great. It didn't disappoint. The staff was just incredible. We loved the food ( breakfast, lunch & dinner), they made us such amazing cocktails & our room was just beautiful. Our room was just amazing & so beautiful!
I feel the like main place could be a bit updated. It felt like it was a bit rundown & just needs a refresh with the facilities. I felt like there could be a phone in each room, just in case anyone needed anything or just in case there was an emergency during the night. Maybe a book in each room with information about the place, sites to visit & just information about the area.

Fronts onto a beautiful beach.
Nice Swimming pool.
Very quiet except from 6.30am to 7am in the morning.
Grounds are attractive and nicely landscaped.
Easy to book day trips from hotel.
Rooms were serviced daily and sprayed for mosquitoes.
Shower pressure very poor and water was cool. You had to complain daily to staff and hot water was restored temporarily. This may just be a problem with the twin room we were staying in.
Every morning at 6.30am the three resident dogs started barking which is ok if you get up at that time but not good if you want lie in. Our cabin was located near the bar area and may only be a problem near that area.
We checked out one day early by mistake, which was our own fault but was surprised that the hotel staff did not notice this and question same.

it was the most beautiful relaxing accommodation we had in Zanzibar. The location is very nice and people they are very friendly. The view from our bed to the ocean was just amazing…

The bungalow was amazing. One of the best hotel rooms I've ever been at. Great price-quality.
During the rains I could take a bath in the sea-view bath tube.
Private sand beach and patio were perfect for relaxing in total relax and privacy. Highly recommended.

The location is very nice and the authentic style of the hotel. Very nice private beach and bungalo house!
The waitresses-they looked disstatisfied and annoyed all the time and there was a feeling that you own something to them although of course we leave the tips. This was a very strange attitude.

Do not skip this resort when booking. Exceptional friendly staff.. amazing food.. you have your own private beach. Clean room. Outstanding value for money. I can highly recommend this resort. I did say amazing food?
It would be great if there was a fridge in the room. But actually, there are zero complaints.

The relax and peacefulness

The beach front is beautiful. The bedroom and the small relaxing area facing the ocean is great, although some small renovation would improve the bedroom a lot!
The location is very good.
The outdoor relaxing area is very dated. Fabrics and pillows are dirty and old, some things are broken, the decoration is terrible.
The bar counter is very uninviting and rather old and ugly. The fact that some pieces of decoration and plant pots are actually pieces of trash pseudo-upcycled only makes the feeling of an old cheap hotel much stronger.
The staff rarely smiles or looks happy, which is very strange. After some days in the lodge, it almost becomes uncomfortable going to breakfast or to the bar and having to talk with them, because they act so grumpy.

Private beach front villa with heaps of room that was well presented and with the most amazing views and staff
The Saturday music at the pool was loud all day and destroyed the ambience of the pool and eating areas. it looked like most people avoided the area that day or sat as far away from the music as possible. It needs to be toned down.

view from the room
We were supposed to stay there 8 nights. We left after an horrible three. We wanted our money and time in this hotel. There was one nice thing about this hotel: it’s the view from the room.
- absolutely nothing nearby
-The bathroom has very salted water
-Hot and cold shower but you don’t choose.
- huge humidity which attracts tons of mouskitos.
-you have to go to the public space to fill a bottle of water at a price of 1 USD per night per person.
-Internet is very bad
-Cleaning not good.
-breakfast medium low but group of friends not here to serve but to make fun of clients in Swahili.
As a wise advice, consider this hotel as a camping for a one night view and move on to other places where our trip was a bit saved.

I spent 4 absolutely wonderful days in a little corner of paradise. the team is very friendly and the manager full of good advice. not to mention the cook who treats us every day. address to strongly advise for a quiet stay facing the beauty of the landscape.

People from staff are amazing! The private lodge, with a sunrise in bed was incredible. We loved the food. You can go to the center by bicycle. There are others hotels nearby if you need to have different lunch/dinner. The most wonderful thing are the three dogs. we already miss them.

Except the food, nothin. After 2 days, we just wanted to leave...
We stayed there during rainy season, not an issue i'm used to this climate. But the room was constantly dump, making our bedsheets, towels and clothes constantly humid and stinky. Our room lock was broken, and despite asking every day, nobody came to fix it. Part of the staff (restaurant and main lobby) were not nice at all. Bored, annoyed, making you feel unwelcome all the time, even for basic needs. Also, they changed the price of breakfast when we checked out. I had to show the rate that was initially announced.

Seasons Lodge is the perfect location for those seeking tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of the party. The area extends over 5 hectares and has been successively expanded over the past 16 years - with loving attention to detail and sustainable construction. In addition, a beautiful garden was created, which is intensively maintained!
The resort is in a beautiful location right on the sea and all the stone houses have a view of the sea - very chilled!
Chris is an excellent manager who treats and motivates his staff exceptionally well! The entire staff, from the waiters to the cleaning staff to the gardeners, are warm, friendly and accommodating! It is also worth mentioning the quality of the dishes - an excellent chef with his whole team!
It was the best vacation ever! We'll be back soon - it was a dream!
Nothing at all!

We decided to have a destination wedding travelling
from Europe to Zanzibar.
As we wanted to have a minimal yet cosy and
heartwarming wedding, Seasons Loge Zanzibar
was in hindsight the best thing that could have
happened to us.
We communicated with the hotel manager Chris who
helped with everything:
- Ceremony place;
- Flower buquet;
- Organized an amazing beach dinner for us and our
guests;
- Provided a trusworthy marriage registrar contact
Overall, the place is magical and extrodinarilly
beautiful, the pool and the restaurant/bar area was
really nice and the food was delicious.
Thank you once again for helping create such a
memorable moment for us!

The location is really beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and most will know you by name, maybe because it was low season and not a lot of guests, maybe not. Everyone is really friendly and there are 3 great doggos waiting for you there!
The beach is not the best as it’s heavily affected by the tide. s

We loved our four night stay at Seasons Lodge. It is a beautiful hotel, everything from the location to the rooms to the staff to the food to the house dogs was just great. waking up to the ocean view every morning was perfect. While the food is a little expensive, the meals were delicious and servings large. and they have the cheaper snack options too, which were also great. staff were so amazing, very friendly and helpful and always smiling. we did have an issue with our room, but it was addressed promptly and professionally. from every spot in the hotel you can see and hear the ocean, bliss. we hope to return one day!
