La comida estaba muy bien, la habitación muy limpia y el hotel también. Especial comentario al personal, increiblemente amable todo el equipo. Muchas gracias por hacernos sentir como en casa.
La ubicación está muy bien pero la playa tiene bastante roca.

amazing location with a private beach, we went on a wonderful reef walk with Juma and saw puffer fish and starfish! they also have kayaks and SUPs you can take out. the chef was amazing, we really enjoyed the breakfast and dinner each day and they catered well to our vegan requests. the hotel staff are excellent and will go out of their way to give you the best experience. also highly recommend the spa treatments. the rooms are great, very quiet and comfortable

The setting is beautiful, the property as well
We thought we could walk in to the water, w/ a sandy beach. Very disappointed

Tikitam Palms is an absolute gem. The hotel is nestled away on a quiet bay with beautiful views on to the Indian Ocean. At low tide you can take a walk over the coral bay to the break, observing the rock pools which teem with life. While at high, the water is warm and perfect for swimming or canoeing.
We were completely spoiled by the wonderful staff - who are without exception kind & attentive. The food is second to none and our vegetarian diets were generously catered to.
And if you are looking to be pampered, be sure to check in with the talented Sumi at the spa.
Everything was perfect!

This is a great and fantastic place to stay at if you want to recharge your “batteries”. Very kind and helpful personal, top service and fantastic good food. The Chef is world class. The Villa at the beach is a perfect spot if you want to give yourself a fantastic visit.
It is really hard to find anything to complain about. This is just a so nice place. A must visit.

The Tikitam resort, with its only 8 rooms is a real boutique, carefully accommodated in a lovely lush green garden with beautiful flowers, funky monkeys and delicate geckos.
The hotel stays true to the local heritage and culture not only through the traditional architecture and interiors, generously decorated with antique art objects, but also by presenting the local cuisine and by inviting Zanzibarian musicians, who perform for hotel’s guests at themed dinners almost every night.
What makes this place truly unique is the Tikitam team - every guest enjoys personal attention from all staff members. Starting with the warm welcome at the reception with
refreshing fruit juice, through the spotlessly clean villas and rooms, beds set up with beautiful flower arrangements, attentive waiters and chefs, who prepare every day fresh jams and sauces from local fruits and vegetables.
The amazingly knowledgeable pool attendant, who knows the whole area by heart would gladly show you a gorgeous starfish or a spiky puffer, teach you how to weave your own palm leaf hat and even how to play the famous bao game.
Should you feel a need to pamper yourself, professional spa therapist is there to help you unwind and enjoy the local spa products.
Last, but not least - almost invisible, yet absolutely real, tall masái will be looking after your comfort and safety.
Finally, the dinner served at the beach will be a memory for a lifetime.
Thank you Tikitam Team for your warm hospitality and care!
Everything was far beyond our expectations.
Just a small note - more detailed information and specific presentation of the local spices and flavors, traditions and culture will add up to the visitors’ experience and provide staff with even more well deserved appreciation.

great food. The hotel staff was very nice and made sure to accommodate all our requests. The reef walk was awesome, and the massages are the best we have ever had.
the beach had a lot of algaes and had low tide most of the day. I am not sure if this is something that happens in all of zanzibar.
4.7
The food is very basic. Every day the same and not a lot to choose from.
The service is quite slow. When you are the pool there is nobody around to serve you drinks.

The existing reviews stating how great this place is are not wrong! Chosen for this reason, we were not disappointed! Tikitams is, without doubt, five star. The staff do everything they can to welcome you and attend to your every need.
The hotel is quite remote and certainly not for those looking for exciting nightlife. It's quiet and, most evenings, everyone was back in their rooms by 9pm. But if you're looking for quiet and calmness, where all you hear are the sounds of monkeys and bush babies, this is the place for you.
The food is delicious and there is good variety. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Someone comes in every evening to turn down the bed. Afternoon tea is served every day at 5pm. The bar is a lovely space and cocktails and beer reasonably priced. We were offered a complimentary face, neck and back massage at the spa which was a real treat and outstanding.
The staff are amazing. Two examples:
1. We were going on an excursion that involved swimming. Knowing pool towels were provided at the hotel, we had not brought our own. Unsure what we could take for excursion, we planned to ask at reception prior to leaving. We got to reception, ready to depart, and there was the receptionist with towels, anticipating our need without our even asking.
2. We wanted to use the pool table just off the restaurant. It is outside. When we got there, there was a large flying insect sitting on the table top. I got pool cue to encourage it to fly away. From out of the shadows, a massai warrior (I kid you not; they are the security team for the hotel) appeared, removed said insect, and disappeared into the shadows again. Not sure if he continued to observe our bad pool-playing or not because he was undetectable again.
All you hear from all who work at Tikitams is 'You're welcome!' and 'Makuna matata'.
We had a fantastic four days! I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing get-away-from-it-all!
Everything was perfect!

I cannot recommend this hotel enough- a must stay!
My Fiancé and I have travelled a lot, however, this hotel has been the best hotel experience of our lives. The food is so fresh and delicious; the staff are the kindest and most welcoming people; the amount of ‘little things that are added to your stay (different types of music experiences; a reef walk; a private dinner for a celebration) is amazing. It is by far, the most welcome, kindest, wonderful place we’ve stayed within. Thank you Tikitam Palms, we will 100% be back with our friends and family.
Everything was perfect- honestly.

Huge room and bathroom with luxury extras - bath robe, toiletries. Direct access to the beach and pool. Comfortable selection of loungers, day beds and chairs. Thick fluffy towels for pool and bathroom. Quiet, spacious, uncrowded.
My companion was looked after well and could keep the room for a few hours while she waited for a delayed flight.
The beach disappointed because there was no swimming when the tide was out and the reef for snorkelling was far away. This is not the fault of the hotel but needs to be considered for keen snorkelers.
4.7
The hotel is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent. The spa is also very nice with a good range of treatments. The beach area is nice (just be mindful that during low tide you need to walk if you want to swim). The overall atmosphere is very relaxing.
The only thing I didn’t like was the fact that restaurant staff would almost “harass” you to sign the bill for extras consumed during the meal straight away. It’s a very small hotel with a handful of guests and so there’s no need to be so eager to get the guest to sign for the bill.

Beautiful and clean Boutique Hotel, very professional staff, heartwarming and friendly people. very beautifully designed, an amazing place with a beautiful garden and great view on the ocean
It seems that paradise exists and it is here. Very cozy place.
4.7
We absolutely loved this gorgeous boutique hotel! It went above and beyond to what we expected when booking. We stayed at Tikitam the first 3 nights at the start of our 3 weeks honeymoon trip around East Africa. We were blown away by the beautiful decoration in our room, the spacious bathroom with the nicest smelling products. The garden is a well maintained paradise with a lovely pool and there are daily fun activities on offer (we learnt how to play the bao game and participated in a weaving workshop).
The best however is the food! We are still talking about some of the meals we were served at Tikitam! Some of them were set menus, some were buffet but all equally tasty. Don’t miss the lunch treats either!

The staff were outstanding , caring , smiling
Although i was sick , i feel that i am within a family
The beach was not attractive

So quiet and well designed with staff very professional but also very genuine and that made our stay so enjoyable despite disappointing weather. Food and service were excellent with permanent effort for personalization in order to please us.

Amazing food.
Professional staff that treat you like a friend.
Very well designed & well maintained rooms and facilities.
A true tropical kind of relaxed vibe - surrounded by a jungle with a white sandy beach.
Very "boutique" as described - not too many people, each guest had his own little piece of heaven.
I participated in an amusing Maasai Tribe dance on a weekend dinner.
There was even a chill cat sleeping next to my room each day...
Only 2 gripes:
Gym was minimal, although not really a big issue...
And of course the low tide which is typical of the region, not something the hotel can really do anything about. They do provide protective shoes if you're feeling adventurous...
4.7
An absolute unforgettable stay! Being around a lot this is my favourite place in Zanzibar. Beautiful and clean.. heartwarming and friendly people making your stay unique in all possible ways.

Tikitam is a beautiful jewel in the middle of a botanical garden. The staff were really nice and helpful, and the room was always nice and clean. In the garden you can see monkeys and exotic birds, which I really liked. Because of the trees the whole place is calm and cool. It’s a nice romantic African vibe. I can only suggest this amazing place to everyone.

" returing after 2 years to the same hotel i am not disappointed . The same smiling & proffessional personel, that remember about my wishes . Very clean rooms and full respect for nature that you see everywhere. Hotel cares about true eco-relax with art and nature. Quiet , tranquility and this wild beach without crowds & salesmen. Superb - keep on ! "

We traveled a lot in our life and visited more than 60 countries; we had a lot of good and bad experiences in kind of this type of location. For sure Tikitam Boutique Hotel is in our top 5. A serene place with just eight villas/apartments, it is very quiet and nature "embraces this place".
The people are fantastic, smiling and helpful, excellent food, the chef is high class, best homar/lobster I ever eat in this place.
The architecture and interior design and decoration are "fit" to this part of the world with wood art objects and a lot of taste...
The most spacious bathroom ever experienced on our trips, and housekeeping was excellent. Also, the SPA is high level.

Fresh and delicious food will stay in my mind for a long time :) The traditional dance of the Maasai warriors in the evening was amazing.
Really great place to relax, inside tropical garden with beautiful private beach.
I recommend!

relaxing in nature , on a very private beach. Walk to the reef was so tranquile . Room spotlessly clean and so much beauty of design & art around , care for little details that make you feel good - i.e welcome fruits come on a real silver plate ( terine) . No compromise☀️😍. Friendly & quick service in Zanzibar (👍) and coconut fresh from the palm is unforgettable
