Super recomendable

Jaxson, the owner, was so incredibly kind. Be showed us around the town when we arrived, helped us set everything up (tours/taxis/etc), and greeted us every morning with a huge smile. The room was large and clean and there’s
plenty of space on the property for
things like yoga.
It’s a bit far from the center (but we knew this from
the map.) The town is very small so it was no big deal at all.
the wifi didn’t really work.

Amelia and Jackson were wonderful hosts that helped us arrange everything from the hostal (tours, bike rentals, taxis - even though the taxi failed to show up) The hostal is in a very quiet neighborhood.

The greatest thing by no doubt was the hospitality of the owner! Señor Jackson came to pick us up at the port for free and showed us around in town after we checked in. He was very willing to help us with anything. Furthermore the breakfast was good and the room was fine.
WiFi works fine but is slow sometimes. Like a “tortuga”! :-)

Jackson and Amelia are excellent hosts. They guide you with everything during all your stay. Jackson has special prices of excursions on Isabela.
First of all, he awaits you at the pier with a sign with your name on it, something I was not expecting at all.
They receive your with a coffee or tea and after leaving your stuff in the room, Jackson shows you around the Puerto Villamil.
The room had all the commodities : shower with hot water, air conditioning, tv and a lot of space in the room.
The WiFi worked doing its best, although on the whole island the signal is weak. Enough to check the mails and social media as well as making some phone calls (I even had a 2-hours video call).

The owner, Jackson is very nice and helpful. He met me at the dock and took me to his hotel. He personally escorted me to a local restaurant which was very good.
No hot water. A bit sparse for the price.

Really nice and friendly owner, had a great stay on Isabela. Welcomed us with tea and coffee and arranged all the tours for us. We even had a free coconut one day. Felt more like a homestay than a hotel:) superfriendly people. Highly recommended.
Bit out of the city centre

When you have Amelia, sitting next to you, you can leave yourself to her capable hands. She was arranging everything the minute we have landed in the island. We only told her what we wanted, she did the rest with her beautiful smile. We are grateful! Do not miss to meet Amelia when you are in lovely Isabela!
Nothing.

Incredibly nice and caring owner who picks you up from the port, shows you around in town and helps with the booking of tours. Nice rooms and hot showers. Just a few minutes of walking from the beach. 100% recommended

When we arrived in Cielo Azul the Room was very nice, facilities were clean and modern, but most of all we were blown away the owner‘s (jackson) kindness and availability. He showed us around the town, gave us great recommendations, booked all of our tours for us, organised bikes for us, and saw to that we were picked up and dropped off at the hotel whenever we needed to. Check in and Check out were extremely fast and easy, and Jackson even picked us up from the Port. I can wholeheartedly recommend to stay at Cielo Azul, it was one of the best experiences with acommodations i have had in a long time.

Jackson was very helpful from the beginning to the end, he picked us up at the ferry station and did a walking tour with us.
The location is 15min walk from the city center.
The wifi was only working on the common area

Jackson was the most incredible and kind-hearted host. He walked us through the town and pointed out some good places to eat and was able to organise all of our trips and bike hires, meaning we supported the local community whilst avoiding the high costs of using the tour companies. The accommodation is very comfortable with air conditioning. An excellent breakfast is offered every morning with a cooked component, fresh juice and fruit, and coffees/teas. Jackson was very supportive of our efforts to practice our Spanish, being very patient and talking slowly with us. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. He also went to the extra effort of decorating our room for our arrival as we'd mentioned we were on our honeymoon :) in all the places we have stayed in our travels throughout the years - this is the warmest welcome we have ever received.

The room was extremely comfortable but most of all Jackson, the host, was really helpful in booking everything for us. He was unbelievable ! he made our stay in Isabela unforgettable.
the propriety is still in construction (2nd and 3rd floor, swimming pool, etc.) but this doesn’t affect at all the quality of the room available.

The host was absolutely wonderful and welcoming. He met us at the pier and brought us back to his hotel. We would never have found it and the walk would be too far with luggage. He was also helpful in helping us find restaurants and tours.
This hotel is way off the beaten path. While the town is small and very walkable it was away from most of the amenities.

This is a family-run hotel led by Jackson, a wonderful owner who shares his tips and experience about the Galapagos. As many people had stated in previous reviews, Jackson will organise tours and ferries for you and we saved ourselves time and money by booking bikes, a tour and ferries directly through him. The Los Tuneles tour he offered was AMAZING! We would absolutely recommend you book through Jackson as the company he takes you to is phenomenal and cheaper through Jackson.
The room itself is simple but has everything you need- a comfortable bed, clean, hot water in shower.
We also appreciated having access to drinkable water which makes things a lot easier.
Nothing.
The wifi is weak but this is common everywhere.
The location is a 15-minute walk to the beach- a little further than other places but still very practical and very easy to move everywhere on foot.

Cielu Azul is all about Jackson and his incredible hospitality along with the wife and grandmother. It all makes for a very pleasant atmosphere. Upon request he will fix you a big breakfast (fruit, bread, jam, eggs, coffee (unlimited) and fruit drink) for $5 (all thinks cost more on Isabela). Additionally, he will handle booking of all tours including a return fair to Santa Cruz....all at the best price to be found/negotiated on the island (not always true with other hostals)hostal. I tried to negotiate on my own directly and got higher prices than what Jackson negotiated. Rooms/bathrooms are comfortable and quiet with plenty of hot water. All at a great price. Overall, hostal is in process with pool created inside covered area (not yet usable and ans for game room and great roof top decks.
Location is a little farther out but the extra walk was no problem and gave you a chance to be amidst a real Puerto Villamil neighborhood.

Jackson (host) met us at the ferry terminal and escorted us to the hostel via taxi and also gave us a personalized walking tour of the town. He was also very accommodating, gave advice, and booked tours and got us rental bicycles for cheaper than rates at other tour agencies in town. He even escorted us to the ferry terminal on our departure; it was honestly sad to say goodbye 🙁 also while his place is at the edge of town, note that the town is very small and it’s at most a 5 minute walk to the center and about 7 minutes to the beach. His place is situated around local residences, so you have a more authentic experience than being in the touristy beach district, and hence the area has more humble appearance, so don’t expect anything ritzy! Also, his place is under construction which had to be halted due to the devastating financial effects of the pandemic on the tourism industry of the area, so expect an unfinished experience, but the rooms themselves are totally finished, comfortable and clean.
Dogs in area can be loud at night/early morning but that’s true all over the island. Also, Wi-Fi is poor, but again, true all over the island. And this wasn’t a problem for us as I speak Spanish, but Jackson speaks minimal English so maybe brush up on your Spanish if necessary?

The owners are really helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The room was very comfortable and the location perfect - a little bit of a walk from the centre but very quiet. I really appreciated the "orientation" walkabout on arrival, and info on tours, restaurants, points of interest. Would highly recommend.
The bathroom was very small, but perfectly serviceable :)

Complimentary pick up service at the dock made it easy to arrive. Extremely friendly and super helpful owner walked us into town and gave us private orientation to it. Very responsive.

Very sweet host. We were only staying a night so Jackson took the time to come us with us and show us around the city!

Jackson was such an amazing host! He picked us up from the ferry and brought us to the hostel. Great space on the outskirts of town but an easy walk into the center. Jackson served us tea and helped us arrange our itinerary. He connected us with great deals for day excursions and showed us around town. Also just super fun to talk to! The room was clean and comfortable. Free drinkable water and a shared kitchen available. Definitely recommend!!

Jackson is one or probably the most amazing host we’ve ever encountered (and wéve been travelling for a while now).
Always there to help, in for a good discussion or laugh and a super hospitable host.
He also came to pick us up at the port and offered us a juice when arriving and although we’d read it was not agreed héd come for us at the port.
Excellent price quality stay

What lovely people Amelia and Jackson were - they were very kind and caring, making sure we were OK during our stay, including helping when I was ill. Jackson helped with booking ferries and tours and Amelia is such a kind lady, she met us from the ferry and gave us a tour of Puerto Villamil. The place is undergoing some building works and will be amazing when it is completed. In the meantime however it was a clean and quiet place and we really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at this place! The host is super friendly and helpful! He showed us everything in the town and gave us good recommendations! It’s 3 minutes by foot to the center and super quiet!

Nice owner. Jackson doesnt speak English but is attentive to your needs and will book tours, taxis, lend you snorkel equipment, allow you to stay in the room early and leave later. Also the family periodically makes nice smoothies free of charge. Clean and large room that is great for Isabela. Generally quiet, although there are nearby chickens and dogs that bark early morning. Great value.
The wifi is near unusable in both the dorm and the common area. It’s a bit far from the port and needs a taxi to get to and from there.

Jackson was such a kind host. The day I arrived, he picked me up from pier and walked with me in the city to show me around. Although I don't speak Spanish and he speaks very little English, he was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. His quote for tours were cheaper than tour agencies. Bed was comfy, hot shower, a simple room that worth the price.

Loved our stay with Jackson and his father. Jackson is wonderful and made our time the most favorite with our kids.

They picked us up at the pier, gave us a drink on arrival. They helped us do our laundry for free ♡. Also, we left a bag on the ferry and Jackson was able to get it back for us. Saved us our cameras!!! Also lent us great snorkels for going to Concha Perla. Made us a breakfast there for $5/each when we were tired and looking for food.
The wifi was intermittent and weak when present. But that's island life for you on Isabela.
