Our overall experience with this property was very good. The house has 4 spacious bedrooms with room for a portacrib, if needed. There are three (!) clean bathrooms as well. The basement room provides comfortable space for the young ones to hang out. The porch was lovely and the stairs/deck to the water made getting down to the lake easy as pie. We would definitely consider a return visit to this Ludlow lake house!

We had a lovely stay at Laurie’s place. It was a beautiful home with the lake just across the small street. The stay was restful and perfect for our family’s needs.

Our family vacation from 2 states was a success. The house is very accommodating. My husband went to the basement when he wanted to read his book and the rest of us put together a puzzle on the coffee table and watched TV. The kitchen is a good size. VERY SURPRISED that coffee and filters were not supplied to us as guests. We supply that essential item to all our guests. The bedrooms where great sizes and had furniture needed for long stays of a week or more. The large dining table is great for playing games and eating family dinners as well.
PROS:
Location, size of house, access to water sports and more.
CONS:
1-Street sign for Slack's Pasture Road on Red Bridge Road is NOT displayed to know where to turn. We THOUGHT it was someone's driveway,
2-The dishwasher does not work properly. When we arrived ALL of the flatware in the drawers were filthy along with the dishes, pans and more. We found out later the dishwasher soap dispenser top STICKS and sometimes does not pop open to dispense the soap to the dishes.
GREAT vacation though with GREAT memories.

We had a great stay at your property. The house is a perfect location for a skiing at Okemo and perfect size for multiple families to share. The house was very clean and had all the necessities of home. Laurie, the homeowner responded to all my questions timely and was very helpful. We will rent this house again for skiing for sure and hope to possibly try it out in the summer months.

We stayed for a long weekend with my sisters and their families. The house was perfect! The location was great! The lake is basically in the front yard. We spent time every day on the provided kayaks and row boat. There were 9 of us and the kitchen/ dining area was the perfect size to fit everyone. The house was very spacious. My boys got a kick out of the foos ball table too. We are already talking about going back again next year.

Hope to visit again
My family has been visiting Vermont annually for the last 35+ years. As we expand in size, we were very pleased with our stay and hope we can return again next year. The only con that stood out, was no working grill/propane. Outside of that - the house was lovely with a great view and location.

Family Lakefront fun!
We stayed at this property in the end of June, and had a blast. Our three kids loved the water trampoline, kayaks, and proximity to Okemo was amazing! The homeowners were wonderful to work with, very responsive. The property was beautiful and clean. I would note- if you stay in the heat of summer, beware, there is no air conditioning in this home. Aside from that it is A++!

Great house for families very close to Okemo!
We had a wonderful stay with another family - a total of six children and four adults - and didn’t even use the fourth bedroom! 7 mins to Okemo (and even closer to Jackson Gore base, which we preferred). Lots of space, fully equipped kitchen for cooking, and loved turning on the fireplace in the cozy living room after a day of skiing. Bunk room was a hit with the kids, along with the foosball table in the basement. Pots/pans could use updating and towels/bedding but very clean and well-kept otherwise!

Perfect ski weekend stay!
We loved staying at this wonderful house. The location is awesome and super close to Jackson Gore. It was so clean and comfortable with lots of space for our whole family. The bunk beds are sturdy and have railings which I appreciated. Laurie was kind enough to recommend local dining options as well as super responsive to any questions we had. We can’t wait to come back!!

Late Summer Getaway
We (two adult couples) have rented this Lake Rescue property for the past two years. It is a quiet, relaxing location with many options for swimming, boating, hiking and sightseeing. The house itself is spacious and comfortable. One of the best features is the option of eating indoors on the dining area or outdoors on the porch. The only negative is that for renters that like to cook, as opposed to eating out or getting take out food, the kitchen equipment is only basic. In our case, we enjoy preparing all our meals, so we always bring our own cooking tools. The hardware (stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher) are all excellent. Other than that, the house and property are great and if we can, we will rent there again.

Lake Life Family Vacation
We chose this property for a central meeting location for a much needed family vacation. With family being scattered in New York and Ma. the Vermont area was the best location for us to meet. The house and the property were just perfect for us. Very safe for our 8 year old grandchildren. Located in a "No Wake" cove off of the main lake we all felt safe swimming without the worry about power boats buzzing the shoreline. All of us enjoyed the use of the kayaks and water toys that were available for us to use. And the water tramp was a huge hit with all. Nights were spent sitting around the firepit, making smores and catching up with each other. Laurie (our host) was so helpful with everything from booking to being there to answer any and all questions even when we were at the property. She is such a pleasure to work with planning your stress-free visit.

Gorgeous scenery everywhere you look
This was a great vacation home for my family and I. We were looking to disconnect from everything and we did! We spent a lot of afternoons relaxing on the expansive wrap around portch overlooking the lake. Lake Rescue and the surrounding areas are breathtaking. Laurie was so responsive in answering our questions and the house is equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable like it's your own home.

Okemo weekend rental
We had another great stay at Laurie’s rental. This was our second year renting this property. The house is perfect for two families. Close proximity to the mountain. Plenty of interior space including a newly renovated basement rec room which was perfect for the kids. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and more. Communication with Laurie was top notch. I look forward to renting again.

Honestly better than the pictures
What an adorable little place, right on a cold wintery frozen lake, and just 8 minutes from Okemo. A great place to weekend hibernate with my sisters family, we had enough space to move and a good kitchen to cook with. The house was honestly better than the pictures show it, and I would certainly stay again. Thank you Laurie, we had a great time there! We will certainly return.

Rescue Lake Vacation
Our experience at the Rescue Lake Villa was everything we wanted it to be (with the exception of the local travel restrictions imposed by the COVID situation). Fortunately, the house and its location on Rescue Lake made everything pleasant and relaxing. With a daily diet of kayaking, swimming and sunning on the raft and taking walks in the neighborhood, the lack of local field trips was hardly noticed. Indoors, the wrap around porch was a great location for jigsaw puzzles, reading and just enjoying the view. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed for the preparation of some great meals. There was a minor issue with one of the showers but communication with the owner was swift and efficient. The problem was eliminated in less than 24 hrs.
All in all, it was a great location and a great vacation.

Family Vacation
We reserved this property because it was accessible for our NY and NH families. We had a great time and it was perfect for the 10 of us. We enjoyed everything it had to offer and Laurie readily answered any questions we had before arrival. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, we were able to enjoy the surrounding area. Thank you!

Heaven on Earth
This house is awesome. No need to look anywhere else. Direct access to the crystal clear lake. Floating dock so you can jump into the water. The house is immaculate. The shed has a kayak, the canoe is awesome too. There ASR’s several life jackets. There is a dunkin, Shaw’s, peoples bank ATM and several other restaurants about 2 miles down the road. Bring the whole family and live the lake life. Okemo is about 2 miles down the road also. There is a washer/dryer in the basement. The house has everything you would need. The owner Laurie is awesome: very helpful and gets back to you immediately. I’ll be back for sure.

Wonderful home for a lakeside getaway!
A three-generation getaway weekend at a perfect spot!! This vacation home is beautiful inside and out, and the owners have provided several fun extras including a row boat! Lake Rescue is a gorgeous lake, and this house is situated in a lovely corner of the lake that is a perfect spot to swim, fish, kayak or just enjoy the view. We swam right off the dock every day! Our favorite part of the house itself was the big porch with lots of seating. With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, it definitely comfortably accommodated all 8 of us. Thank you to Laurie for such an easy VRBO experience!
