The windows from the master bedroom overlooking the lake provided a beautiful view.

Best bedding in a rental we have had. House was extremely clean. We did have heat issues the entire weekend, but guest services worked with us to get that made right.

Awesome house. Great location. I would stay there again for sure!

House is in a great location between Killington and Okemo, and situated right on the lake for warmer weather. It was extremely clean, had plenty of room for all, and in is great condition. Beautiful wood fireplace for relaxing next to after a day on the mountain. Would love to visit again.

The house was very clean, rooms were spacious, bedrooms are a nice size and very nice bathrooms. Easy ride into the town of Ludlow.

House was beautiful, just as pictured, and beds were super comfy! My husband was able to fish out back but also found some other great spots to go to. My only complaint would be there is only 1 tv in the house and its in the basement-otherwise, stay was great! We plan on coming back for sure!
5.0 / 5.0
This house is so great, spacious kitchen, living room bed and bathrooms, extremely well maintained and located at an amazing place nearby the sea. All the "bear" decorations show that the interior design was done with a lot of attention to the detail. We would have liked to stay longer. Access to the lake with the kayaks was quite easy even if the dock suffered from the recent flooding. We were surprised to see that there was only one TV in this big house in a nicely decorated room in the basement. This increased our quality time as a family. Really well done and I can only recommend this house.
5.0 / 5.0
The house is large enough to support two families (four adults, three kids under 12) without feeling cramped. It was well equipped, with everything needed to cook, eat, and clean. The quality of the house was very nice and appealing, with the deck/BBQ and big bath tub as major fan favorites. There was also a fooshball table (which we used) and lots of available board games and books there (which we didn't). The dock was apparently damaged in the recent flooding but we were still able to use the canoes just fine.
It's a bit close to a main road, so you will hear people drive by quickly, but we weren't expecting "middle of nowhere" vibe. It's very close to Okemo, which had a lot of fun stuff for the summer, and it's reasonably close (45 minutes) to a variety of other towns (Rutland, Manchester), and state parks.

Great vacation, weather could have been better bu not much you can do about that...

We had a great trip. This house is gorgeous, well stocked, great location. They thought of everything to make our trip easier. Unfortunately the lake was not usable due to recent floods, the dock was destroyed, and the town was all but shut down. Nevertheless we had an absolutely wonderful time and would love to return. Perfect place to relax and catch up.

The house was spacious, clean, and had all the necessities you would need. Fun time kayaking and sitting by the fire. The best part was the heated bathroom floor!
3.0 / 5.0
Luckily there were only 4 of us staying. The dishwasher was broken the entire time. That wasn’t the worst part though. The communication and being asked to wait around for assistance and the fact that no one ever came to fix the dishwasher was the worst part.
Just lucky that we were not a large party cuz that would have really sucked!

Comfortable, Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Lake was beautiful, Kayaked, Watched and listened to the loons. Perfect distance to town for needs, not too far, not too close. One mile away from a locally owned and operated Sugar House with delicious creemees.

Vermont ski trip
This house was 10 minutes from Okemo and about 15 to Skye Gondola at Killington. Grocery store and Ludlow stores very close. Check in was simple. Our questions were timely answered before our stay. The bedrooms were large enough for everyone to be comfortable. Office area upstairs great for working. Fireplace was nice. If you like a fire every night though you need to buy wood. Dining room table fit our group of seven easily. Kitchen was big and well stocked. Loved that TV was in the finished basement and the kids played many many games of Foosball. The walk in basement to the ski room was perfect to keep ski equipment warm and dry. The caretaker texted us the first night to welcome us and see if we needed anything. All of our requests and questions were addressed and answered timely while we were there.

Amazing home - great location. Would love to stay here again! One thing to make it 5 stars - need a tv on the main level.

Wonderful! House was very clean! Layout worked perfectly for our group.
Property was great but felt that the codes & additional info would have been good to know one day ahead and not day of. We are retired people who are not tech savvy and don’t use our phones all the time. After we arrived, about 4:10pm, we learned that had we arrived before 4pm, an alarm would have sounded.. Would have been good to know ahead of time. Also no instructions on what to do with garbage and recycles or how to leave the fireplace. Just an FYI, one of the lightbulbs over the table is out. Otherwise we truly enjoyed our stay and hope to come again. Thank you,

Beautiful Property
We had a great stay in Ludlow. Property was exceptionally clean and exceeded our expectations. Great location. My only suggestion is for bigger sturdier outdoor garbage cans. They were blown over on our arrival which scattered trash and lids across the property. We collected as much as we could but it was messy. Unfortunately, we likely left the same situation as they weren't big enough for the garbage that was left plus ours for the week. I didn't see any directions online or at the house for trash/recycling pick up or responsibility. If we missed it, I apologize.

I never give bad reviews. Even when they are deserved, so long as they genuinely try to resolve issues. Things happen. I get it. This is different. Find another house. This one came with a lot of aggravation. Arrived at night after 6 hour drive to find no wood or fire starters for the fireplace. Called, emailed and texted to find out if perhaps there was wood in the locked shed. There was none on the racks pictured on the site. No response. At all. Have to go back out to buy our own wood! Picked up food to grill. After prep we find that both gas tanks are empty. Have to pack it up and order in. Call, text, email. No response. We were there for 4 nights. Never had any response at all from them!!! I had to drive around looking for gas tanks so we could grill all the food we bought. I kept expecting to hear back each day on the wood situation so I had to buy the very expensive wood sold at the store each day. I’m on vacation and running house hold errands for them??!! Not cool. House was clean and nice, but if you say you have a fireplace you need to provide wood. If you say you have a grill you need to provide gas. I have rented dozens of houses over the years. I have never had a single one where you have issues upon arrival and get zero response. Zip. The whole trip we kept reaching out and got no where. The last day a gas tank showed up. I already had to go buy one. Guess that’s my gift to them?I told them I wanted to give them a chance to make it right and reimburse me for gas tank and wood, before giving my review, but again just nothing. No response! So I would have to recommend you rent another house. It really took away from the whole experience having issues and not being able to resolve them. When things don’t work, like the fireplace and grill, and it costs you MONEY and TIME to deal with while on vacation it’s a real bummer. Find another house.

Relaxing by the lake
The home had a very comfortable feeling. The view of the lake was different every day. My husband enjoyed the canoe. Location close to stores and restaurants. Enjoyed every minute of our stay by the lake.

Beautiful Home
We had a great time on our family vacation at Lake Rescue Retreat. The home is well organized and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and the kayaks and canoe were a plus for exploring the lake. Swimming from the dock is rather shallow and requires you to stay horizontal to avoid the muck and plants growing. I wouldn’t hesitate to vacation here again but I’d likely bring some large blow up donuts where you could float out to deeper water for swimming. Waking up to early morning lake views was a Plus and hiking up the backside of Okemo was awarded with gorgeous views!

Relaxing lake house
Great family house with plenty of space for 8. We particularly liked the deck which faced the lake (through the woods), the kitchen and main gathering area, the bedrooms and basement rec room for kids. Having the 4 boats was really our favorite part as we used them for hours every day.
