After I booked I messaged through booking.com and the staff was very responsive. They helped me set up a private tour with a friend of the hostel. It was perfect. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, curious, and a great conversationalist.

I really enjoyed the warmth and friendliness of the staff, and the happy family vibe of the place. Great location, and excellent security for my motorcycle in the locked garage. Many thanks to Daniel and all there who provided me a home away from home..
Mosquitoes attacking my bare ankles (I like wearing shorts and walking barefoot), but that's a Mendoza problem, unrelated to this property.. And I could have worn shoes, socks and pants to cover up.
Mosquito repellant was provided to me free of charge. 🙏

The place is actually lovely and the beds confortable.
The staff were delightful expect for the lady who tried to over charge us.
We were asked for $4100ARS when our room was quoted at $34USD, which on todays exchange rate comes a little short of $3800ARS.
The bathroom was in a bad state and needs urgent repairs not to mention the carpet in the dormitory.

The staff were friendly, the grey haired older guy was particularly nice and helpful. They have two incredibly cute dogs who were lovely as well. There are some nice areas outside in the garden to hang out in.
We stayed in a private room and the double bed was really uncomfortable. But what made sleeping in the room worse is that the aircon is central air so we couldn't turn it on or off and it was stiflingly hot in the room. We had a fan, but the fan is on a timer only lasting 2 hours, which meant to keep the room cool, we needed to get up in the night multiple times to turn the timer back on. The bathroom has hand painted art from 1988 and looks like it hasn't been renovated since then, it's a bit outdated and grimy. The wifi didn't work well in the room, (if at all) though was marginally better in communal areas. It was often noisy late at night as people watched TV in the communal areas but had the door to the rooms open or loud talking from people going to the dorms (appreciate this isn't really the fault of the hostel, but more down to inconsiderate people). The hostel is not in that great of an area either. We never felt unsafe walking at night but it's not close to many of the highlights. Breakfast is pretty average, consisting of bread (which you can toast) and coffee. Finally, we thought we were due to pay $268 USD or about AR$27,000 but upon checkout we were charged AR$33,000 - we weren't allowed to pay by card, so had to pay cash so assume that's the 21% tax. Would have been nice if they accepted card payments or if it's not working, to have not charged the tax.
