The room that we stayed had a spectacular view of the seaside. The bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel was very close to local shops and the beach. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious.
The TV was a bit old fashioned and needed to auto tune every time switching it on. Parking space a little narrow, but managed to park off road.

The headlands hotel has everything I was looking for ,the room was very clean and suitable for me and my fur baby and perfect for the grassy areas and paths with in a short distance, excellent choice for breakfast with or without a cooked one
My only criticism is the steps up to the hotel could do with a arm rail on the wall felt a little unsafe if others around with a dog nothing to grab on too
4.1
Location and view was excellent.
Main light in bedroom was non functional. Four poster bed was comfortable but needed a thicker mattress as you could feel the frame at night.

Friendly staff, excellent Breakfast
Superb location 😎

Good variety at breakfast everything you could think of. Rooms comfortable plenty coffee tea milk etc beautiful sea view in our room. Friendly helpful staff.
At top of very steep hill not for anyone with limited mobility but we were ok.
Parking limited as advertised but we were lucky and got space.

Very good breakfast. Plenty of choice.
It's quite a climb up a hill from the town, and there are a lot of stairs to the front door and the rooms and no lift, so not good for anyone with mobility issues. The views are fantastic. It's great that you can take your doggie too..

very disappointing. smelt musty especially in the dining room
bathroom tiny, taps were broken cold hardly ran and hot tap was not fixed to sink properly. parking was very difficult

Breakfast was superb and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and our small terrier dog was made most welcome
The parking was limited but we found a space on the road

We had book a sea view - which we got and it was wonderful. The room was clean, as were all the facilities. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice of options and our cooked option was cooked beautifully.
There were a lot of dogs!
We had a double room but with twin beds pushed together, a zipped mattress may have been better to keep the beds together.

Amazing view from our room, the staff, breakfast was lovely.
Being on a hill, slope upto property and having no lift.
4.1
Amazing view, well maintained building, lovely home cooked breakfast. Amazing view from the hotel, see picture below.
No lift, not a problem or complaint for me but just be wary when booking as its an old building with lots of stairs
4.1
Very nice hotel, staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay
Location was challenging but to be fair it wasn't something (very hilly) that we considered but to be fair the hills were there before we were, but in all honesty it may have swated our decision, which is a pity because the hotel was very nice and well serviced

the view and the breakfast
nothing
4.1
Breakfast very good and the location of the hotel second to none for views
The bedroom was a little small, adequate for our stay though and at 5' 10" the bed was short, but for someone smaller would be fine.

Bar facilities poor ie no red wine

Great views and good location
If you were in a wheelchair prob not for you but if it was on the flat you would not get the great views so as long as you are happy with the street and steps you will be fine

Location.
View.
Good for walking on the orm, direct from the hotel.
Traditional decor.
Staircase and round viewing area with stain glass windows.
Alexander on reception was a lovely young man, and very helpful too.
Outdoor seating area,at the front looked brill for the summer time.
Huge glass window to view the town from above in the breakfast area
Nice coffee.
Good breakfast.
Two mins walk to the beachfront.. 😊
My husband didn't like the mattress he said it was not that comfortable. I thought it was fine and I am the one usually complaining?? I had a good night's sleep on it.
Our bathroom was ice cold even with a heated towel rail. Window had an unclosable vent which blew a gale onto the loo roll which made it wobble like a flag on a ship at sea. Other than that, the room was fine. Our room looked onto the side of the hotel.a grassy view of the headland area.
One thing I didn't like was the canopy curtain decoration above the bed, it was filled with dust and it was just above my head for sleeping. Mmmn? When you lay down and look up It's a dust filled tunnel I had visions of creepy crawlies coming down from it during the night. They don't keep it clean it needs hoovering inside .. Cobwebs inside the material folds
too!
Room 25
We would stay there again, but next time I'd ask them to clean it if I got that room again.. It is quite offensive.

The hotel was great for our one night stay and we will definitely be returning. Although the room was quite small, it had everything we needed. Being dog-friendly is a big bonus too. The breakfast is exceptional!
There was an extra charge for our dog that was not made clear on the Booking.com website. Although not a problem, it would have been good to know at time of booking.
4.1
Breakfast as usual, wide choice, good quality and served with a smile.
Soft pillows.

The staff were so friendly, efficient and helpful. The hotel was spotless, The room was ideal, perfect views and the bed was comfortable and we had a lovely nights sleep.
The location was ideal next to the park so I could walk my dog at night and in the morning .
The staff catered for us at breakfast allowing us and other dog owners to dine separately with our pets.
When we sat out aT night the staff noticed and put the light on for us.
We will certainly come back and can’t recommend the hotel highly enough.
Just more explanation regarding the key fob for the outside door.
