it was good enough for few hours stopover.

very convenient as a stop gap from airport and onwards.

the common ladies bathroom was not clean and did not have facility for changing into dry clothes or hanging clothes

Easy walk to airport. cost room. ample space.

convenient location, near airport. comfortable bed and pillows.

Heatpump had an error on it so not working. we didn’t need it but i did steal the spare duvet off the unused bunk bed. we didn’t tell anyone as it was late but im sure they would have fixed it if asked.

Good for a functional overnight stay.

It is close to the airport - 12 minute walk. Most of the rooms are on the ground floor making access very easy There is a communal kitchen making it very easy to make food

There was no kettle for tea facilities in the bedroom Rooms were small but functional

Perfect for a quick turnaround in between flights. Easy walking distance and reasonably priced.

The location of Lylo is fantastic and having Spitfire Lane being so handy makes it the perfect place for an overnight stop over before your next flight.

Short but sweet

The location was further from the airport than indicated. We walked there at 1.30am in -4 degrees. We didn't get to experience any of the facilities as it was just somewhere to get some rest which it suited our needs.

room was really lovely, we would recommend this hotel to others travelling to & from Christchurch

This Hotel was really great for our one night stays after flying in from Australia and prior to our leaving a couple of weeks later, so handy to the airport. The room was very clean and all we needed. Bathroom also very clean and new looking. The staff were extremely helpful. Great that this is a 24 hour reception as we had to arrive and depart in the early hours of the morning.

Hi-tech pods that are truly out of this word!

Stunning hostel from both the inside and the outside. Less than a 10-minute walk to Christchurch Airport, just past the outlandishly fascinating International Antarctic Centre. Loved the privacy of the pods ("Beam me up, Scotty!"), and the communal areas as well as the sanitary facilities which were large, clean, and functional. However, the overall vibe was a bit off, and the guests were not as talkative and sociable as one might have hoped for but rather aloof and stand-offish, with quite a number of them more or less staring at their phones. Sign of the times, I suppose.

Does the job as advertised and near to the airport

Good location from CHC, with signage from the arrivals area carpark. Rooms were as advertised, clean, basic and met all requirements. Check-in was handled efficiently via the iPad, and on check-out was assisted by a nice receptionist lady who ensured all was in order.

A shelf in the shower for other toiletries would have been useful, and a later check-out time than 10am would also be great.

No fridge, to.small have to go downstairs to make a coffee if you have your own cup stayed in other properties for the same price that were a lot better

Served it's purpose

I arrived at Christchurch Airport after midnight. LyLo was an easy walk from the terminal and has 24hour check in.

My welcome at reception was cool to say the least. The guy wasn't friendly and started dealing with the man who arrived behind me before he'd completed my check-in. I felt irrelevant. When I got to my room it looked clean but it smelt strongly of damp carpet or trainers or something. Normally I'd have asked for another room but I was so tired and my welcome was so unfriendly I just put up with the smell but it wasn't pleasant.

Handy for the airport

Very close to the airport and plenty of parking outside. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Bathroom was also clean and tidy.

Only downside was took a few minutes for staff to open the door to get into the lobby as was after 10pm when I checked in despite him being able to see me through the glass doors. The staff member advised me to use the self check in. Tried to use it 2 or 3 times myself and check getting an error saying I couldnt check in. The staff member just told me to try again despite letting him know i had tried that already. Eventually, he just did a manual check in and I got up to the room.

although it is a nice guest house, sleeping is bit problematic...

The shared space is nice, with a large kitchen with everything you need, plus lots of free stuff!

The noise inside the pod was unbearable for me and I couldn't get much sleep. The guy at the counter said it's probably got something to do with the electricity and that's the same in all the rooms... It's a buzzing sound that is fairly reasonable when you're outside of the pod, once inside the sound reverberates and it's quite strong. It wasn't there when I went to sleep around 22-23, only around 1 after midnight I woke up from the noise, then tried to sleep in the common space, couldn't get much sleep there as well. Maybe it's just me but just for you to know.

彼女と2部屋よやくして、近くの部屋にしてとオーダーしたのにまったくはなれていた。部屋が暑い。廊下や共有スペースが臭い。日本人には向いていない。上記のわりに、料金が高い。

Sehr guter Preis, Nahe Flughafen (ca. 15 Minuten Fußweg), unkompliziertes Ein- und Auschecken

Teppichboden im Zimmer, der an einer Stelle sehr nass war. Einfache Dusche. Kleine Zimmer.

Long day comfy night :)

Ideal comfortable bed and facilities after a long trip, a added extra would be a shuttle to and from the airport for women travelling alone at night, instead of walking in the dark from airport to accommodations, but that is a added extra. :)

Good, clean little backpacker/hostel/capsule hotel

I liked the hang out lounge, it was quite wonderful, relaxing and welcoming. The room was clean and quiet, which is what I asked for.

The nickel and diming of everything. I understand it and how the hotel is more like a hostel/capsule hotel. But even the cheapest hotels offer to hold on to your luggage for you without charge. Also having to pay an extra $10 to get in a little early was a bit ridiculous I thought. Also, male staff could have been a little more welcoming and use some customer service training.

내 개인공간이 있다는 느낌이 확실해서 좋았고 수납공간도 넉넉해서 좋았음. 캡슐호텔느낌도 나고 개인공간안에 작은선풍기도 있고 충전도 가능함 조명도 조절할수있어서 너무 만족함. 특히 주방이랑 광장(?)이 같이있고 당구도 미니게임처럼 할 수있는 공간이 있는데 너무 좋았음. 주방은 다른사람들이 사용하고 남은 조미료같은걸 두는곳도 있는데 요리할때 잘 이용했음. 전체적으로 너무 만족함

Perfect spot if you have an early flight, comfy and clean!

Perfect spot if you have an early flight, literally a ten minute walk to the airport. Also only 2 mins from a grocery store and multiple food options. Bed was comfy, shower was good and the hang out area was really awesome.

The room had all we needed. It was a short walk to the airport. We will use the hotel again in future.

Will absolutely be back again! Thank you so much, Christchurch LyLo!

We stayed at LyLo over the busy weekend with our party of 8, including our little ones who were 8 and t6. We were absolutely blown away by the fun and relaxing space they had created for the common areas. It was clean, well organised and warm! Our pod room (family room) fit us all perfectly and again was very clean and well maintained. We absolutely loved our stay, and the kids will talk about this for a few years yet!
