Elizabeth waited for us to arrive, later than expected which was super kind and she was very accommodating and helpful. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable and the pool and beach side were great. The owners are lovely and welcoming. We would definitely return!

Location was fabulous with quiet, private beach, hotel was quiet, manager accommodating and everything clean.
Not the hotel’s fault but the restaurant next door and even more so the 5 star Hyatt impression hotel 150m away often played booming music (rave / trance with a heavy bass) from morning till night, though this might have been more extreme than usual due to carnival.

Chambre spacieuse, lit très confortable.
Hôte arrangeant, disponible pour notre arrivée.
Le logement est loin du centre de l'île (plus d'une heure à pied du nord de l'île).

Brilliant location with great access to private beach. The water was beautiful. You just have to swim out 10m and it is absolutely fine. Great for snorkelling; I found three giant conches!
Not the fault of the accommodation but the dining options all cater to high budget Americans. You can still get tacos etc but it’s very overpriced compared to other parts of Mexico.

We enjoyed the view, the pool and the quite location far away from the north caos.
The staff wasn't present, maybe because of the language barrier.

The staff was nice and the host was great. The pool was nice.
Despite it being very clean by the staff, the room was constantly with a lot of ants. We ate, slept, and showered with ants.

Casa Bonita was a fantastic property. We stayed in the penthouse with our family and friends and it worked out perfectly. The facility was clean, spacious and had everything we needed in the kitchen. They also helped us to coordinate a chef, which was a seamless process.

Perfect location! Super host! Lovely staff. I e have stayed here twice. Once I with the whole family(7) and we rented the larger 3 bedroom apartment with kitchen. And this time just as a coupe in a single room no kitchenette . Both experiences were lovely. The private pool and pier are a super bonus!

The location was exactly what my family was looking for: right on the water. Very peaceful, secluded, and lovely. We loved swimming and snorkeling daily, the ocean steps away. The pool is covered, perfect for mid-day swimming. There are lounge chairs in a palapa right by the beach.
The fully stocked kitchen was perfect for us. We loved cooking brunch and dinner.
Space was clean and comfortable, very well though out. Comfortable beds.
Last, but not least, the view! I could not tire of the 180 panoramic view of the stunning ocean right from my bed. Staff was very helpful and attentive. There was daily housekeeping, which was really nice.
I only wish we could have stayed longer.

The place has a lovely pool and goes directly out onto a very small beach. The view of the water and the sunset from there is incredible. The room was a good size with a mini kitchen although the nearest shop was quite a long walk from the property and food on the island is VERY expensive so the kitchen seemed unnecessary. The bed was big and comfortable and the water in the shower was fine.
Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with our payment. When we arrived, the owner, Dora Elia A de Garza, asked us to pay the total amount using a Payclip machine. She added on an additional tax and I'm now not sure why, as the taxes were already stated in booking but this seemed to be on top of those. In conversation with Booking, they have also questioned this additional charge. She told us that the first transaction had failed and the following day showed me an email from Payclip saying the transaction had not worked. Due to this, we assumed it was a problem with my card and used my partner's card to pay. However, we then noticed that the payment had gone out of both of our accounts. When we asked her about this she was incredibly unhelpful and insisted it must be a problem with our banks and refused to issue a refund for one of the transactions. When we left, we agreed to stay in contact and see if the issue with the banks resolved itself after a few days. She assured us that if it did not, she would give us a refund for the 2nd transaction. However, we have been trying to contact her and she is now not responding to our messages. According to our banks the payments went through successfully and we have bank statements to prove it. Booking are investigating this, but it is taking a long time and we still have not received any money back. It is a real shame as the island is beautiful and the hotel is quite nice. If you do decide to stay here, I strongly suggest. you don't use a card to pay.

Everything about this property was beyond our expectations. The apartment was beautifully furnished with everything one could need. The pool, the beach, the grounds and the pier were well maintained. The hosts and staff (Luis) were wonderful and very friendly. The location is great - the southern end of the island which is very peaceful - and there are several good restaurants within walking distance. We all agreed that it was one of the very best vacations we've had!!
Absolutely nothing. It was perfect!! Sorry we had to leave.

very clean and bed was comfy - nice hosts
not the best location for ease of getting around the island

The staff was very friendly, but didn’t speak any english (wasn’t a problem we used a translation app). Pool was nice and the atmosphere peaceful!
There’s no breakfast or nearby stores where to buy something to eat. If you stay here it’s good to have a golf cart/scooter etc. We had a breakfast every morning in the hotel close to the villas.

Beautiful smal hotel with gorgeous pool and direct access to beach. Low key, authentic, large clean rooms. A couple of barsand restaurants nearby which close for dinner early about 19h30 to 20h00

Casa Bonita is a peace haven in beautiful Isla Mujeres! we loved everything about it but especially the breathtaking views from the pool. There is a private beach that is amazing! We rented a golf cart and were in playa Norte in just 20 minutes. The staff is super nice, everything was perfect.
highly recommend it!

The grounds were kept beautifully and we really loved the location. The suites are fully equipped which was lovely for a family. We also enjoyed the daily cleaning service
so here’s the thing-There is a BIG difference in quality of the room. Casita 6 was spectacular ! casita 5 was absolutely terrible- it was dirty, broken furniture, a broken balcony which was dangerous for people with kids. The overall vibe is shabby. Casita 1 (which is where we stayed after refusing casita 5 due to safety issues) was located by the pool but it was dirty, dated and very rusty.

The pool area was really nice.
We discovered a small coffee shop which is highly recommended just in the other side of the main street of the big hotel (5 minutes walk towards Punta Sur)
The location is further away from the main attractions of the island then we thought, there are some bars/ restaurants in walking distance - but the nicer ones are only reachable by car/bike.
The taxi prices increased to 150 pesos per ride.
The hotel is nice, our room smelled a bit damp, but it was clean and no mold. The view from the balcony was ok - but we expected that.

The owners and staff were so friendly and helpful. Truly a delight to speak with. The location was amazing. Private, quiet, water front view.
The only issue (and it may be just the fact that it is what happens on the island) is the water pressure in the showers was pretty light. Again, just could be what it is. Other than that no call outs.

We originally we going to stay in Puerto Morales, but the sea weed infestation was so bad that we decided to head to Isla Mujeras, so glad we did as we were able to enjoy the white sands and crystal blue waters.
Southern part of the island which is very quite and tranquil. Family owned, very nice and helpful.
Apartment was well appointed with everything a family of 4 needed.
Property has a private pool, private beach and pier. My teenage boys spent most of the time using the pool, sunbathing and fishing off the pier.
Many affordable restaurants, bars , small convince store in walking distance.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Casa bonita. The staff helped us check in a little early which was unexpected and very nice. Our junior suite had an incredibly comfortable bed with soft sheets and we really liked the shade sail cloths over the pool. It would be a nice place for a larger group as there is a large house (the casa bonita) and then other guests can stay in the junior suites. If you are used to ultra luxury, go elsewhere, but we loved the quiet location and walking to the best beers & food @ burros borrachos and for the morning, the great 'coffee bus' 5 min walk.
The water pressure was not great in the shower, but water is scarce and it is an island so...no big problem.

I loved the location as it was very quiet and peaceful. the beach area and the pier was perfect. I also loved the friendliness of the hosts and their helpfulness with getting me taxis.
The only thing that was an issue was the water pressure in the shower but it was still workable.

Beautiful property near the beach and wonderful pool. The staff was so kind to us and cleaned our room each day.
When I made our reservation I sent a message asking for a room on the ground floor because I have COPD. I was told this wasn't a problem and we could definitely do that. However when we checked in our room was up 3 or 4 flights of stairs which was a huge issue for me. I was nearly passing out each time we went upstairs. My son helped me a lot but my breathing got worse before it giyff

nice pool and small private beach right from the hotel, great view, niec hotel for fair price
It is not very suitable to swim in the sea from beach, but pool compensates it partially.
We had 4 bllizards in our room during 3 days stay, I had to catch tjem and throw away, my wife was going crazy about it. It is in the nature thought.
And same small insect was in the kitchen, but not a big deal.

My family spent hours swimming in the pleasantly heated pool overlooking a breathtaking view of the ocean! The location was close to some great snorkeling beaches.
A hotel really needs an open designated office with either somebody who is working at the desk or a bell to ring! Check in area is closed and one of the employees needs to notice that you have arrived in order for you to check in. Key dropbox needs to be labeled.

Staff were very pleasant. Beachfront access adjoined to villas.

If you want calm, quiet and fantastic view - this is the best place to stay! Friendly staff, good equipment in the room like AC, fridge, coffee machine, tea, shampoo, drink water on every floor etc. I really recommend stay here even just for 1 night, picturesque view on the sea!

You end up with a private beach surrounded by tons of plants. Easy way to get to with the bus or taxi. Good place if you are looking for a way out of the busy and noisy town in the north part of the island.
4.0 / 5.0
we loved the beautiful view, the spacious bedrooms and the pool area, with shade and chairs.
the wifi was en reliable, the kitchen was not well stocked and the private beach is not really a beach.
