Location
Facilties - problems with flusing the toilets and showers, no cold water. Was told breakfast was included yet no staff around on both morning and bar shut both days

I liked the accommodation.Paul is a very nice man and the cleaner is great .
I would have preferred more towels. It was a pity there was no breakfast this visit. However, I understand that the price of food & overhead costs .I think leaving a hot urn filled with hot water and some spare cutlery would be a good idea, not a criticism but a suggestion.
I know there are kettles in the bedrooms. However, what if it's raining and you have to stay in or order in carryout food.I personally wouldn't want wooden or plastic cutlery. It would benefit the infirm, people with poor mobility, parents with kids ...

No one was available for the whole time we stayed, the shower was broken and couldn’t tell anyone as nobody was there, we went down for breakfast and again no one there very poor definitely won’t be back there again.

The one friendly staff member we met
Bedroom was too small and no-one turned up to cook breakfast in the morning.
Bar was only open Friday afternoon and didn't see any more staff Saturday or Sunday.

Location was great
Bar wasn't open.
No staff about. No breakfast after being asked when arrived if wanted it in morning. Bed very uncomfortable, could feel the springs when you moved. Shower didn't work properly. No one around to tell these issues to.
Im afraid i wouldn't return.

Location was great.
Everything else, no staff on site except for check-in, breakfast was at 0900, no staff tur8up to open the dining room, bar was never open.
Could do with a good deep clean, mattress was completely knackered on one side, shower leaked on the floor when used, this made the carpet wet in the bedroom.
Curtains and blinds broken and windows were not great to close with broken catches.

It was clean, the host was very friendly.
The hotel is very outdated and needs serious refurbishment.

The bathroom was really cold and the shower needed black mould removing.

The room was clean and tidy. Paul was fab at letting me in earlier than usual.
The TV reception was a bit dodgy and intermittent.
I didn't realise there would be no breakfast that week and was disappointed.
I think with not much effort, the bathroom could be easier to use. For example the soap dispenser is too close to the hot water tap. And there could easily be a shelf put above the sink for more storage. Also the chest of draws needs the bottom draw repairing. Easy fixes and nothing serious.

Location
Be wary of high 9 or 10 reviews, coincidence that once a low rating is left then the next is
nearly always a 9 or 10?
This comment is the view of our friends who stayed in room 3 but the booking was made by us which is why we have 2 reviews.
Virtually same comments as our other review as we had 2 rooms (rooms 3&4).
