Home and property not well maintained. Ladder to sleeping loft very steep and difficult for older guests. No reading lights. Lawn not cut for weeks.
Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of hot water for showers. Tv and streaming and internet all good.
Property manager and repair man for kitchen stove responsive and pleasant. Got stove repaired quickly.
This would be fine for a younger couple. Good hiking nearby and fun local eateries. 15 minutes to Great Barrington. 45 minutes to Tanglewood.

Beautiful wrap-around porch. Views were wonderful. Had to use the pullout sofa, because the stairs to the loft was basically a stepladder and for us seniors, was a no go. It does need a microwave. We gave it a four star overall, but for a younger couple would be a five.

It was a pleasure to find this gem of a cabin available for a night so we could attend a concert at Tanglewood, despite living out of state. The location was lovely, convenient and quiet; the cabin was impeccably appointed (thanks for the fresh flowers in every room and bottle of Riesling!) and very clean with every possible amenity; and the hosts were communicative, friendly and helpful. Overall, this was an idyllic mix of quaint/cute/unique and function/comfort/ease. I will absolutely seek out this rental again next time I’m traveling to the area. Thank you to our stellar hosts!!

The location and beauty of the surroundings are exquisite, everything I wanted for a pastoral getaway. The house's exterior was lovely, and the giant porch was spacious and comfortable. The bedroom(s) were another matter. The upstairs loft--inadequately described in the property description--requires a steep ascent and descent into a cute and cozy sleeping nook but requires the nubility of a 25-year-old yoga practitioner to otherwise move around. I would rate the access to the loft through its trapdoor a serious safety risk which should be addressed immediately by the owner. The sofa bed in the downstairs is unsleepable if you unfold it and sleep on the mattress. The frame's bar is uncomfortably against your back all night. I slept on the couch unfolded. Lastly, many places throughout the property could stand some repair and painting.

This was our first stop on a long journey from VA to ME, traveling with 2 dogs. It was perfect, the dogs were safe with lots of freedom to roam. What a beautiful, peaceful village and sweet little cottage.

We booked the trip for a quick fall getaway to see the foliage in the Berkshires, and we couldn't have been more satisfied. The cottage was a lovely and cozy home base.

This little spot was absolutely perfect. Beautiful land, with beautiful views (complete with a cow heard grazing in the distance)....it was bliss :-) Strong recommendation for anyone looking for simple peace and quiet, and and escape from the hustle/bustle of city living.

This was an adorable little cabin in a beautiful town in the Berkshires. The cabin was perfect for me and my boyfriend for the weekend: it had a beautiful yard, deck, and inside everything we needed. I will note that the bed was up in a lofted space which wasn’t an issue for us, but for anyone with injuries or disability it would be very difficult to get up there. We loved the cabin and found it very cozy and natural.

Loved the deck and the beautiful view of the surrounding fields and mountains in the distance. Also enjoyed walking to the Old Inn on the Green for a drink at their histoeic bar. Really enjoyable spot and will definitely be back.

This was our second year staying at this property. Can’t ask for a better location for hiking and getting away from the SC heat and city life in Charleston!

Note that bedroom is a loft and accessible only by steep staircase. Not recommended for families with small children. Enjoyed the deck and the fields around. Fireflies at night! Washer/dryer also nice to have. Great hikes in the area; the dog loved her walks.

The location of this very rustic cabin is great despite the fact that it is on the main road with a lovely meadow view on the side and in back.
Unfortunately the loft bedroom was much too small with steep stairs to be safe for two ( young:) seniors so we had to sleep on a very uncomfortable sofa bed( but we were certainly glad there was one on the cabin! ). We did not cook so I can’t address the kitchen and did appreciate the bottle of red wine!

We have 2 dogs and it is hard to find somewhere that we can bring them both on vacation. They were both welcomed and loved running around the huge yard. We enjoyed the wrap around porch and the cozy, homey feeling of the cottage. The host, James, answered very promptly when we had questions. We would definately like to go back again.

This was our second time staying at this property and it did not disappoint! The location is great for exploring other parts of the Berkshires and the weather was perfect. The area is quiet and we slept soundly. Thank you and we look forward to staying again.

Property is great--a lot of seating, well organized, quiet & well-maintained. I went away for my first vacation in 11 years. It was great to have a place that felt like home to return to after hiking.

This was exactly what we wanted. Stayed a night for a wedding by Gedney farm, the hosts had set up a fire pit for us! We loved the spot, appreciated all the small touches like basic supplies. Bed and couch are comfy!

This charming cabin was well equipped with kitchen stuff, board games, and the bed is very comfortable. The skylights allowed the overnight breezes in and the quiet was decadent ambiance. Appreciated the bottle of wine, though we did not imbibe, and the gallon of water for coffee making and drinking. Zero issues with sulfur - only a brief whiff with the first cleaning of the dishes, night one, then never again (3 nights/4days). The porch is spectacular and where I spent a lot of time; would absolutely stay again!

We successfully escaped the summer heat in Charleston SC for one month! The location was ideal with so many hiking trails, and surprisingly good restaurants within walking distance. Enjoyed having a general store and cafe bakery right down the road. All our needs were met and expectations exceeded.

Snug South Berkshire cabin
This spot is great! In a small Berkshire town (new Marlborough), close to Great Barrington and other western MA attractions. Quiet, clean and comfortable, with nice grounds around the cabin. The only consideration is that anyone who plans to use the sleeping loft should be ok with a fairly steep staircase -- not a problem for us. Highly recomended.

Peaceful
The location was great, particularly for the mid and Southern parts of the Berkshires. It was clean (really clean, actually) and had plenty of space to lounge and relax. The cabin is surrounded by the natural beauty of the Berkshires, and there is plenty of space on the porch to sit and take it all in. The outdoor space was phenomenal and each morning I was greeted by a fox family that lived nearby. I’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it for anyone that wants a rustic, natural space to take in the mid-southern parts of the Berkshires.

Lovely place on lovely grounds
This cottage was clean and we'll stocked. There was wine on the table for us. The grounds and patio were wonderful.
The bed is upstairs in a loft area. The stairs were narrow and steep for us. Probably better for those younger than 70!!

Perfect, both inside and out!
Garden was lovely to behold! The deck goes around 3/4 of the house and has a variety of cozy seating arrangements. The cottage itself was comfy and clean, perfect for a couple with or without their kids. Location was ideal, we were going to a concert at Tanglewood and the venue was just a half hour away. We will be back!

Great place for solo writer’s retreat
Enjoyed the solitude of being able to think and write in a place that was small and had everything needed. Great location to hiking and Inn at the Green foe dinner. If you get up a lot in the night you might have trouble with the loft and stairs: the water in bathroom had strong smell so I used bottled water (though shower smelled too). Stove was great and though I didn’t use porch because it was too cold, it is really nice. Highly recommend.

My Fiancé and I had a great time staying here! It is exactly how it was advertised online and we would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful retreat
The cabin was beautiful, clean, and SO picturesque. The property is huge and very quiet - we saw deer wander through most days, and the only noise is the occasional single vehicle wandering down the road. Very cute coffee shop about a 3 minute drive down the road, and Great Barrington is just 20 minutes away. We did two gorgeous hikes (Monument Mountain & Appalachian Trail at Lake Buel), both of which were about 10-15 minute drives from the cabin. There's a filter on the sink to reduce the sulfur smell from the water, but if you think you'll be sensitive to that, just bring some bottled water! The loft bed was comfy, and my dog fell right to sleep on the downstairs couch :). Property manager was highly responsive with questions both prior to and during the stay. I highly recommend this spot!

Excellent Time
The property was well appointed and maintained. The pictures don’t do the space justice. We would highly recommend this rental. The area has a lot to do and see!

Cozy country cabin
We were very pleased with the accommodations at the cabin. It was as described. A bottle of wine welcomed us and was a nice touch even though we never had a chance to enjoy it. As other reviewers mentioned, the only negative would be the water having a sulfur smell. We just built a house and new well, so until we got a water system we were very used to this and it wasn’t a big deal to us at all. They do have in line water filters as well as a faucet filter in the kitchen. We weren’t concerned with using the water and we brought drinking water. Our favorite part of our stay was the big wrap around deck that was gated, a blessing for two parents with a very busy almost 2 yr old. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Change of scenery in the Berkshires
We stayed for a month, working remote and really enjoyed the house and property. The cottage is clean, well maintained, with lots of outdoor space, a full functional kitchen and a wood burning stove for chilly nights. Located in the historic center of town and 15 minutes to Great Barrington and proximate to other Berkshire towns. Nearby to several hiking trails and good food.

I contacted the property managers on arrival on May 28, 2021 and also the owner / property manager after leaving the cottage at 7 AM the following morning as I found the cottage uninhabitable. It is now June 5, 2021 an I have not had any response. This is the kind of cottage that you immediately feel uncomfortable in. Everything is extremely cheap and rustic and not what you’d expect for the cost of premium accommodations in this location. I have rented other homes in this area for much less and they have been nice, safe, comfortable homes with drinkable water and responsive owners. The listing fails to mention that the water contains sulfur or something else that makes it noxious. The water made me feel very sick, not just drinking it (even via the filter), but also showering and washing dishes. The listing also does not show the sleeping loft which is carpeted, unsafe, and unusable. The cottage was unlocked on my arrival and keys were supposed be on the counter, but there were no keys and the property manager was unresponsive when emailed to drop off keys. Had this cottage been accurately describe and listed at a price befitting the quality of the cottage, I would not have rented it and my expectations would have been set correctly.

Wonderful stay. Easy. Gorgeous area.
The cottage was perfect for me and a friend and our two dogs for 2 nights. With younger dogs with crates and two separate adults so use of pullout it was tight but worked perfectly well with a little arrangement. Everything you need in the house for cooking, relaxing, lounging. Amazing wrap around porch. Grill seemed to be charcoal and confused us but we never reached out to ask for guidance, just didn’t use. Older house but we’ll kept. Very very liveable. Large property with field for dog play. Close to not too busy road.
Best of all: the area! Preserve up the road for hikes, only restaurants in town walking distance and 15-20 minutes drive to everything else you need or want to do or get.
Peaceful. Would stay again.

Great from start to finish
This is a perfect small cottage for our small family Berkshires get away. The home is a comfy cabin/cottage with a rustic feel that was perfect for the mountains. The property is beautiful and walking distance to farmers markets and quaint dining . It’s totally secluded and has beautiful views and a big maintained field . The deck is great for day and night use and Great Barrington is a quick drive away . Great hiking and swimming options very close were a big plus. We loved it and would come back in the summer or to ski in the winter. The property manager was very helpful. An all around great experience from start to finish.
