It's been the fourth time I stayed at the Gedney Farm. IT's gorgeous, beautiful setting, friendly hosts, amazing room with whirlpool in the old barn. I will come back!

The property was very pretty. The room had a new, well lit, beautiful bathroom. The rest of the room unfortunately was dark, damp and musty. A couple pieces of antique furniture were nice but upholstered furniture, mattress and bedding were in desperate need of replacement. The continental breakfast was very nice. It was a little too far from Great Barrington (20 min.) where we wanted to be. Would not recommend.

We liked the setting. When we arrived via motorcycle, we attempted to follow the directions that were sent to us via email. We looked for the reception sign, but it was no where obvious. We had to find someone to ask where reception was. We located the tiny, vine covered "Reception" sign hanging over the inauspicious entry. Our room provided a dusty wardrobe which was clearly for ambiance. The bed felt as if it were about to collapse every time we moved. There was no door in the toilet room! The curtain on the side light was an upsidedown drape, and it was sheer. The "jacuzzi" was a single person, jetted bath tub (sitting next to the toilet room with no door!) Flying insects were in the room! Some dead ones were left where they were killed. No food or beverages until 5pm. Not good for travelers looking for a cold iced tea on a hot day; after traveling for several hours. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. One of the other guests jokingly said "it's like camping." We did not pay for a hotel room to "go camping." In the morning, the breakfast was nice. Fresh fruit and muffins, yogurt and granola, coffee and various teas. The one young lady in attendance was pleasant. Fortunately I speak some Spanish, making me able to communicate with her. We found the art display to be impressive.
Overall, Gedney Farm was simply a place to sleep and will not be on our 'places to return to' list.

Came here for an overnight and to try and re-energize. We had our doubts going in that one night would be enough, but Gedney Farms was amazing. We’d definitely recommend a fireplace as it really helped leave the world behind for a night. The staff was nice and the property is large and great for taking dogs for a walk. We’d definitely come back

Great one night stay for family Christmas outing. Beautiful barn and rooms. Fireplace were set and ready to use when we arrived. This is our second stay here and we will be back.

Gedney Farm is a bucolic setting near Great Barrington where the guest rooms are in a former dairy barn. Sounds rustic, but it is cool - cozy rooms with Shaker vibe and clean modern bathrooms. We stayed early week when the restaurant was closed so was very quiet. Enjoyed a morning walk across the fields viewing and hearing songbirds. Would make a great wedding venue. Served a hearty continental breakfast with muffins and pastry, yogurt, fruit, etc. There was a problem with our Expedia reservation (wrong day) but host was very accommodating, which we appreciated. Only negative is poor cellphone reception, which might be a blessing.

Gedney Farm is a lovely spot — the gardens that surround the farm are gorgeous. You can sit outside and be surrounded by hummingbirds, fireflies, flowers and fields. The rooms are in a converted barn and were quite comfortable. The continental breakfast was the best one I’ve encountered in the US, I have to say. Overall we really enjoyed staying there.

Very comfortable space, beautiful grounds. Excellent service at dinner and food was fine. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub and a skylight that looked into the long beamed roof of the barn - very nice - but I could have used a shower curtain to prevent water from making the bathroom wet. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon.

We love Gedney Farm and the people who work there! It feels so cozy and elevated at the same time. The food, the rooms, the service, everything is high quality.

Enough off the beaten path to truly relax and untether. No TV and no cell service afforded us the luxury of reading, talking, and enjoying the whirlpool tub. The bathroom was a bit outdated but super clean. The breakfast spread was tasty and generous. I’d love to go back and eat dinner there on-site!

Not your big box hotel - so cozy and unique. A little more out of the way but some nice dining options nearby and the town just a bit of a drive. Real comfy king sized bed and super quiet on a Sunday night (no weddings that afternoon) Unfortunately it was a cool and windy afternoon so we couldn't hang in the beautiful yard area - next time!

Lovely, clean, inn with cool design and great interior and exterior spaces. We spent a comfortable night there on a road trip, but this would be a fantastic place for a reunion or wedding.

Room accommodations were not as promised and dinner was not available to us as paying guests on Wednesday. We had a wonderful time in Western Mass but definitely not due to Gedney Farms.

What a beautiful spot! Great room in the renovated barn with nice bathtub under a glass ceiling that allowed views of the barn ceiling.
The restaurant on the lawn and under the trees was fantastic, excellent food and beautiful surrounding of fields and woods.
Breakfast started only at 8am, which was a bit late for me, but you just have to know that.
The location is great, not far from Great Barrington.

The converted barn is very unique. The grounds are lovely.

It was generally great, but they need to do something about the bugs in the room. I know we’re out in the sticks, so it is to be expected. But we had
all varieties of bug from mosquito to grasshopper looking things introducing themselves. They were very polite however and let us sleep in peace.
I really liked the look of the room, the rustic wall paint and wooden beams and there was no TV in our room which was a great relief

A great get-away and time to unplug (and re-connect) for my wife and I. We were bummed the dinner restaurant was closed for the week, but we'll be back soon to try it out!

Beautifully renovated historic barn makes this a unique stay. Rooms are very comfortable, thoughtfully furnished, and breakfast was just delicious. Loved it.

Beautiful and peaceful location and lovely rooms (nice and warm despite freezing outdoor temperatures). The renovated bathroom was so pleasant!! The coffee was burnt (not drinkable) and the bread stale at breakfast, but otherwise every part of our stay was lovely! I wish there was more of a welcome guide to nearby food and activities (and good coffee!!) but otherwise it fulfilled our needs :)
