The space and location and facilities was great.
extra £90 to use hot tub and which was a shame as and having already paid nearly £500 for the one night would have been nice if it was included, even more so as it’s already there and turned on.
Also being warned about the cockerel that is constant from about 0400 would have been a bonus.

Everything!! Its set on a beautiful plot of land, with a little farm and plenty of parking. we had everything we needed and more. There were plenty of clean towels, duvets, pillows, cleaning bits, toilet roll ect. The beds were comfortable and perfect for the 7 of us plus more if you needed.
The only thing that would have made it easier for us as a group is one more key & fob

Location and property was beautiful and everything was clean. Location for chester is fantastic and not far from the motorway.
When we have stayed at similar accommodation which are part of a house the hosts have been in contact a little more - checking we had everything we needed etc. However there was no contact throughout the stay, which normally would be fine, however there was also a power cut on the street at around 9.30pm (no fault of their own) and we had to get intouch with them to see if there was any further information. They did come back to us straight away with details of when it would be back on though. We thought they may have come and checked we were OK and offered candles or something, we were also worried about the babies with it being cold without the heating on.

The location and the animals were amazing.
There were not enough mirrors in the house, and the bedding wasn't great. Didn't match and was a bit shabby.

Location and the animals, brilliant for a visit to the zoo
Not much to complain about, only small point was the smell of smoke when we initially got to the property from the log burner

Lovely sitting out in the sunshine with the gorgeous views of the farm animals and onward scenery and the sunset in the evening was a bonus.

I am local with my little girl attending Queens school in Chester and having spoken to the owner to explain in great length that we met covid requirements to stay there, it was shocking to have workmen enter the following morning to make comments as to whether we were working.
It was dirty, tired and shabby and certainly not a £200 per night residence. The fire was broken, the shower tray had black mould on it and brown grime along the seal, there was a huge fire damaged mark on the floor that hadn't been relayed, the fridge was grubby and the toilet had urine marks on it. Workman started work noisily outside in the morning and knocked on the door requesting to take away the table football. We checked out that morning, upon ringing the owner he refused to offer any goodwill refund despite only staying one night and slammed the phone down on me. I've stayed in Michelin starred hotels in the UK and all over the world. Of course I don't expect the same level of prestige, but I do expect professionalism, courtesy and cleanliness. Upon raising a complaint via booking, the owner asked to put it in writing when we have already tested him the issues and sent photos of which he just ignored and when rang said oh sorry we were busy! I will stick to my tried and tested regular places in future in the area whilst I am currently having to spend a few months in holiday cottages.
