Staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is great, good value overall.
The internet is available in the common area only and doesn't work at times.

I enjoyed the everyday festivities at Pelourinho.
To start off my room was very hot to a point where windows had to opened and with two fans which didn’t quite help a lot. Also, no power outlets around the bunk beds, the only available one was by the window and another one by someone’s occupied bed.
Besides a tiny little soap, no bathroom amenities are offered as well as no mirror inside the bathroom.

Lovely place, great location and Jorge is an amazing person. Definitely will come back.
I had chosen a room with a fan. Salvador is a very hot place, next time I will get a room with a air conditioner.

The best possible location in Pelourinho. The host is extremely friendly, hospitable, helpful ... Above all, he prepares the best Caipirinhas by far .. From El Salvador to Rio de Janeiro .. or maybe even further.

The location is amazing in the center of Pelourinho, the quality for this price is also very good! Many thanks Jorge for your kindness, we arrived very late (00:30) because of a problem with the plane and he waited for us!
I recommend this hostel to everyone!
The breakfast, even though good, was too poor in fruits, we are in Brazil and we had expected more ;)..

The location is ideal, you are literally in the center of where everything takes place.
The breakfast was so good, I love how they cater to your needs. If you are someone who likes to go out and stay out late this place is pretty good in terms of safety and in terms of being able to locate it because it's pretty well-known.
It's was the cleanest especially the bathroom, it wasn't so bad that it was unusable it just wasn't clean.

The breakfast was great, location was right in the middle of the old town and everything there is accessible within a 10 minute walk.
Firstly, the 12 bed dorm is way too hot. The 2 fans that are in the room are pointless and we barely slept the 6 nights we were there because of this. Secondly, the manager Jorge was not approachable and kept telling us off like children. It was very strange. We used the shared kitchen but he came and demanded that we ask him first to use it. The kitchen is locked at various points throughout the day, and is closed completely from 6pm meaning you can’t cook dinner. *cue sarcastic comment from him here as other reviews*. Not a sociable hostel, according to Jorge the hostel was fully booked so don’t touch another bed. However, there were a max of 2 other guests present at any given time. The breakfast was good however the space was shared with a percussion school and the instructor would bang drums incessantly whilst we were eating - headache. Breakfast was also 8-9.30 way too early and you didn’t eat if you arrived there at 9.30am. I imagine if you’re just passing you could deal with the hostel for what it is but staying 6 nights was unbearable.
