The cottage was beautiful, and the fireplace sealed the cozy vibe!
It was hard to find in the dark until we used the Eire code. That would be helpful to put in the check-in instructions.

We loved our stay at the grooms cottage. It was clean and tidy and with great facilities. Lovely peaceful place, an excellent base to visit all the historical sights.

The Groom's Cottage is a special place, an outbuilding on a historic Irish estate that goes back at least to the 17th century, amid a grove of tall trees in the Meath countryside. Hosts were friendly and provided everything we needed, but entirely hands-off. We would have enjoyed staying more than two nights. Location is very central to see the ancient and historic sites of the Boyne Valley. Pubs and restaurants are around 10-15 minutes away in Navan or Johnstown.
Really no complaints whatever. I would suggest that three adults (our group) is about the perfect size. One could certainly sleep 5 or 6 adults on the property, but that might be a bit of a squeeze.

Excellent location for looking around historic Meath County and a 45min drive to Dublin centre. (30 mins to Dublin airport.)
Very easy to find and quite close to shops in Navan which is packed full of history as well. Kitchen, bathroom, front room (with fireplace) and double bedroom on ground floor. 2 small steps leading into front door, 2 small steps leading into front room and then 2 small steps from front room into double bedroom...so a little awkward for anyone with a walker or wheel chair. Loads of amazing books on the local history on a bookshelf along the staircase up to a twin room and another double room off that twin room. The cottage is a gorgeous old building. Very rustic and peaceful. Exactly what we were looking for, as opposed to the busy/urban/hotel feel.
There was a wonderful rookery in the trees outside and it was amazing to watch the crows do their thing.
Absolutely would stay again!!
Thanks so much!

It was self catering
Drive in to cottage not great..part of driveway soil was higher and dragged against bottom of car.Had the weather been wetter not sure we could have driven it...needs to be gravelled. We didn’t like the way the floor in upstairs bedroom was slanted but understand it’s an old building but tricky when you need to use bathroom downstairs in the early hours.kitchen small but well equipped..bathroom tiny and as it sleeps 6 it would be cramped. We were a party of 3.We loved the duvets sheets and pillows so comfortable ..where did you buy them ?.beautiful cotton👌

House was warm when we got there.
Homely.
It would have been nice if there was a amall carton if milk in the fridge. It was nice for a one night stay but if it was for a week it would have been nice to see the area surrounding the house being better attended to in my opinion.
The off road drive was very mucky.
