Wonderful cottage - gorgeous collection of furniture and trinkets and ornaments. Our doggies had the best time in the garden – as did we, with so many beautiful flowers and lots of buzzing bees and butterflies. Very special to have a delicious victoria sponge cake waiting for us! Very comforatable and had everything we needed. Thanks so much
The bedrooms were very hot - think the heating might have been on as radiators were warm.

A beautiful and spacious cottage with a lovely garden!
Nothing!

Church Cottage had all the advantages of staying in a Landmark Trust historic property, with all the advantages of a private let. The house is utterly stunning (it looked good on the photographs but even better in person). Marion was utterly charming and very helpful indeed. The facilities were ludicrously good (a proper chef's kitchen, good bathrooms).
But OHHHH the garden! 3 separate seating areas, all better than something in the best kind of country house hotel, all comfortable and secluded and slightly magical. Looked like a photo shoot, felt like winning the lottery. It was very hard to leave the garden at ALL!
We had come to the area for a family wedding and were a bit shocked by costs in the area (generally- Church Cottage was very good value relative to others)- but this really is worth investing in. Unforgettable, and raising the bar for everyone else.
A longer stay!

The cottage had everything, you wouldn't need to take anything with you we had a bit of a family issue on checking in day and Marion was just great nothing was too much trouble we will definitely be back again a lovely place to stay everyone commented on how amazing it was there

Great place to stay. Property has 3 double beds and three bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet. So perfect if 3 couples. Kitchen has extensive equipment and nice touch bathroom has shampoos , towels etc. All cleaning items like washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets supplied too. Nice large garden with plenty chairs. House definitely big enough for 6 adults plus toddler as we brought travel cot as it’s a large house. Even had a cake waiting for us for when we arrived and some meringues as it was my husbands birthday. Very kind of the owner.
The Owner meets you at property and shows you around and explains about how things work and about the Park and Ride into Bath. Well worth doing this as so busy to park in Bath. Garage parks 2 large cars and is at the back of property, with space in front of garage if like us bringing 3 cars.
Would definitely stay again if up that way.

The property was beautiful. Very interesting antiques to look at, felt like a living museum. So much family history in the property. Lovely host

Absolutely stunning cottage, Marion the host was so friendly and welcoming. The cottage is steeped in history and has touches from her travels around the world. Marion baked a Victoria sponge for our arrival, such a lovely gesture. Will definitely come back.
