Breakfast was very good and hosts provided gluten free bread. Nice fresh fruit and great jam.
My only quibble is that we were given one small slice of toast each at breakfast. We weren't asked if we'd like another, which made me feel a little uncomfortable having to ask.
The coffee in the room was just awful. My husband says the tea was too, though he did drink his.

Kevin and Michelle were very welcoming and we couldn’t have picked a better spot for what we needed. Breakfast was great with homemade bread, juices, yoghurt, jam, etc, and the room was well equipped (and the bathroom voluminous).

We had a warm welcome when we arrived. The bedroom was small (which we were expecting) but comfortable and thoughtfully laid-out. The bathroom was nice and large with lovely fresh flowers. There was also nice communal lounge and patio areas, with a fridge and microwave available.
We had a great breakfast in the morning, including homemade produce (jam, apple juice, bread etc) and eggs from their own hens.
Kevin and Michelle were very helpful and friendly hosts.

Location was great with lively walks from the door
A cooked breakfast would of been nice.

Nice continental breakfast. Our border collie was made very welcome.

We loved our stay at Riverside. Breakfast was a delight with eggs from the resident hens- I appreciated the information about the hens and glad to know their names! The home made bread and preserves were also very much appreciated. Thank you.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The venue had everything we wanted. It was a little challenging to find as the postcode was not as precise as I would like.
There were good signs at the entrance, but you had to look carefully. A mileage from a more prominent easy to find place would be helpful.

Our hosts Michelle and Kevin greeted us as we arrived at Riverside. The site of the B&B was quiet & peaceful, with glistening apples groaning from trees in a garden full of gorgeous colour, while looking out towards a lush and green hillside. Beautifully arranged fresh flowers were left in our room to welcome us. There was an airy and comfortable lounge looking out onto the garden, and we sat out on the large balcony to bask in the late afternoon sunshine. Breakfast was exceptionally good, we enjoyed Kevin's homemade yoghurt, and his light wholemeal bread with pumpkin seeds, both of which were absolutely delicious, as was the accompanying cinnamon plum jam! Such a thoughtful touch for their guests. This B&B absolutely deserves a visit if you are ever in Devon!
Nothing. However it rained on the second day but we cannot attribute that to the hosts!

The continental style breakfast had lots of options and catered for different dietary requirements. The overall experience was like a home from home.

Michelle was a great host and we had a lovely time staying at the B&B, she checked in on us when we hadn't arrived at the time stated and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating when we were there. The location of the B&B is very idyllic and relaxing and it was very nice inside. Breakfast was also excellent with mostly home made ingredients.

Homely and quiet location, ideal for a peaceful stay. Nice outside space to sit in the evening sunshine. Hosts were very friendly and the fresh eggs from their chickens and homemade bread were superb
There’s nothing we didn’t like

Had a great 5 night stay here. Kevin and Michelle are lovely and gave us lots of recommendations for walks in the area and the location was great even though we travelled there by public transport.

Really enjoyed the breakfast...nice to eat homemade bread, yoghurt and jam.
Lovely location and very well looked after premises...with chickens free ranging in the garden.
Close to our planned walk, which our hosts helped check on the map, giving us good, knowledgeable advice.
Very welcoming and comfortable, would stay again.

had great difficulty in finding it
place is very small
bathroom is bigger than the bedroom
not much to do as in the middle of nowhere
as above

Freshly laid eggs from the chickens they keep, able to poach or boil them ourselves along with fresh bread, croissants and a selection of cereals
We liked the lounge area, but if we had to say something about it..it would be that it could be more modernised or have some more relaxing sofas

Location . Owners were friendly and the breakfast was good.
It was very cold in the rooms so made for an uncomfortable stay and poor night's sleep 🥶 not acceptable when we were paying to stay there.

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and we had a big comfortable family room with bathroom, with peaceful view onto the woods. The breakfast choice was very good, complete with eggs from the chickens we could see roaming outside.

I booked Riverside B and B at a very late date because I did not know whether my son - who is 8 weeks into training at the Royal Marines Centre in Lympstone - would be able to have leave this weekend.
I explained to Michelle and Kevin that I needed a place where me , my 2 border collies, and my son could have some time together for however /if he had to see his family this weekend. for whatever / if ever he had any leave . I asked them if I could bring my son back to my room to sleep in the day time in my room to give him a complete rest over the few daylight hours he had for ‘shore leave ‘. I also asked them if there was any way I could heat up some of my home cooking dishes for my son.
They were very accommodating and completely understood my needs - without making a big deal out if it . I appreciated this.
Needless to say - my son gained a complete rest from training for a good few hours over the weekend and my two border collies had a splendid time walking with me in the beautiful and so easily accessible grounds at the accommodation but also adjoining it.
Today I walked my dogs along the Wray Valley - which I simply accessed from the Riverside B and B . I am so pleased that I chose this venue x 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I did not want to be fussed over - I was left to my own devices
Some people might want more attention - if that is the case - they have chosen the wrong place .
This is a place which is focussed on nature/eco environments abs peaceful non- agendas.
I really appreciated this .
