Schöne Zimmer, top Frühstück, ruhig
Es gibt keine negativen Eindrücke. Es ist etwas von Schuss, aber dessen waren wir uns bewusst. Sollten wir in der Nähe sein, dann kommen wir wieder.

Very handy stop over for my walk between Battle and Winchelsea. Room had all you needed, although tv was a bit temperamental! Staff friendly and helpful
Dessert was rather disappointing; dry waffle based Eton mess without cream but otherwise food was very good especially breakfast

Hotel staff very welcoming, lovely clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent especially the sausage’s all round good quality.

Everything you would want from a short stay venue.
Excellent service and breakfast
Room was small.

Very good food. Extremely kind and pleasant staff. Sensible eating times.
Personally I don't like a heavy duvet so I haven't given 10/10 for the bedding. That's just a personal remark though. Apart from that it was splendid.
A special mention for a staff member who went out of her way to help us on a personal problem. Thank you Beth.

We were a group of 6 cyclists doing the Cantii Way cycle route. We arrived drenched after rain most of the day. Check in went fine and we were allowed to store our bikes (including e bikes) inside a spare room, locked for security. The dinner was excellent but the breakfast was even better with a huge selection of cereals, fruit etc. The radiators were red hot and we managed to dry all our gear. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were quiet and we got a good nights sleep. If you came by car there were spaces for parking which I believe is free.
A bit isolated with Rye 4 miles away and no transport (except bikes) to reach a wider selection of restaurants.
The shower was a bit lukewarm but I suspect it was our operation since others from our party had no problem.

A very good location for exploring the area around Rye and Hastings.
Excellent choice of food at breakfast
Unfortunately we had no hot water in our bathroom. Not able to have a wash with hot water in the sink or in the shower
Chilly room as central heating was not on. Had to use extra electric heater ( provided) and an extra blanket to keep warm

I liked the inderpent rooms which means you could come and go at what ever time
Ran out of loo role but that was on the last day so no biggy

Stunning lodge on the outskirts of the scenic town of Winchelsea.
Beautiful views watching the sunset from the lodge, ample seating outside to enjoy a picnic.
The rooms were very modern and clean.
The breakfast was excellent and well cooked.

We arrived an hour early in pouring rain, on our motorbike, after unpacking our bike in the rain , with our hands full of luggage, there was no option to already letting us in and we have to wait in the rain for another hour, till check-in time ; very unfriendly, we've almost begged to let us in the bar , and allow us to wait for that hour to pass, we even told them that we wouldn't ask anything to drink , but that being there on the bike it wasn't an option to wait outside in the pouring rain: answer still NO ...
We've been traveling about 23 years with our motorbike as a couple, never we met this customer unfriendly service towards 2 soaking wet people that are CUSTOMERS , ashame we've payed full in advance .
Result : WE WENT OFF AND BOOKED SOMEWHERE ELSE... ENJOY OUR MONEY WE'VE LEFT BEHIND !!! NEVER AGAIN !!
With not so kind regards ...

Coincidence that we found out that we couldn't eat at the restaurant Sunday (diner), a minor though, but anyway.

Our accommodation was very clean and comfortable.
Staff very friendly
Pleasant, comfortable restaurant with varied menu
Very varied breakfast with something for everyone, especially enjoyed the variety of fresh fruit
Outside seating and plenty of it with smart parasols
Excellent car parking spaces
The thermostat in our wet room was not working properly so the water was scalding hot.
The water flow was extremely slow

The whole experience was good.
My wife is disabled and because of this I booked a ground floor room. This was confirmed on the information we received via email.
When we found our room it was up a small flight of stairs, 6-8 steps probably.

All good as usual 👍

Spotless room , comfortable beds, and excellent breakfast , thank-you!
It would have been useful to drop bags before check in but it wasn't a big deal

Everything was so lovely, the owner was welcoming, our room was amazing, nicely decorated, so clean, brand new carpets, outside was beautiful, lovely big fountain with fish, which was kindly turned off at night so it didn't disturb guests, garden furniture around the fountain and on front patio around a large fire burner, it is on a busy main road, but I didn't hear traffic as the lodges were at the back & had double glazing, the bar/restaurant was gorgeous, clean, set out well, meals were delicious and served by lovely staff, I will definitely go back, and will definitely recommend to everyone, I couldn't believe the price for what we got, £105 per night,(INCLUDED breakfast) which was again varried & hot breakfast was delicious restaurant/bar very well priced,
There was absolutely nothing not to like, it was perfect to me, & we had a look at a suite, (a little more expensive) but goodness it was beautiful

Good location, close to Winchelsea beach.
Could hear noise from other rooms

Proper mugs in the room for your coffee instead of stupid little cups as is the norm, also USB charging sockets in the room. Little things that make such a difference. Winchelsea Lodge has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff were friendly and attentive and clearly enjoy working there as a team. The manager/owner was always visible and mucking in with the work and was very engaging.
Small maintenance issues in the room (floppy shower head & missing light pull). Didn't spoil our stay in the slightest. When pointed out, staff were very apologetic and assured us that they would be rectified.

Good location
The room was small. The bathroom was dirty in places. The staff weren’t very welcoming.

Moderate spread, which was good, though the lady was using pledge to wipe the dining tables, minimal atmosphere in the hotel, though the staff were polite and friendly.
Our original room was too small for a couple, it had a damp smell and cold, so we requested another room which was better.

Lovely place, comfy, clean, nice breakfast
Walls are paper thin. Could hear every single noise next door made, slamming doors, talking all night. The only reason we won't be back.
