Beautiful setting. Room was spotless, airy and comfortable. Staff were pleasant, efficient, and there were lots of them to cover busy times. Food and drink was delicious, not cheap, but excellent so you don't mind paying. Will definitely book again.

Love the fact that this hotel is situated riverside and that it is not too modern inside. Although a limited vegan dinner and breakfast menu, the chef was very happy to provide a vegan starter (tomato soup) and also a vegan breakfast of avocado on toast with tomatoes. Both of these should be on the menu. Also, we came down too early for breakfast but the staff member on duty was more than happy to serve us as 0800 instead of 0830.
On arrival at the hotel we were trying to find out where to park the car. I went into the hotel and check in/ food ordering is at the same desk - I stood for almost 10 minutes and was ignored. I appreciate it was a busy time but when staff just walk past you and ignore you it’s not good. Eventually a staff member asked me if I was being served, I answered ‘No’ and she just ignored me! Eventually I had to stop a member of staff and ask them about parking. Check in was much easier. Hardly any of the staff smiled and even if they are busy they could still look cheerful. We were in Room 4 - beware of the creaky floor and bed! Every time one of us turned over, the bed creaked so badly it woke us up.

The location is pitch perfect, and the welcome very owner. The owner even took us across the hand ferry, and made no charge. Great value place too.

A spectacular location over the River Wye and when looking out in the morning had the feel of a ski chalet in the alps. The staff were really friendly and the breakfast was of exceptional quality.

Beautiful room, very clean and well equipped. Comfy mattress but creaky bed frame!
Food was outstanding! Dinner was excellent and the best breakfast i've ever had in a B&B!
Beautiful setting next to river. We walked up to Symmonds Yat and did the Kingfisher boat from outside the pub (saw at least a dozen kingfishers!)
Comfy mattress but creaky bed frame!
