Exceptional wonderful house with a great host and an even better breakfast. If you like traditional historic English architecture, then you will feel right at home. The host is very friendly and the breakfast is amazing. I had a kind of spicey Shakshuka (it was called different) and it was delicious.

We had a lovely stay in our 4 poster bed. The breakfast was excellent and professionally served by Craig. The location was quite easily found but don't follow the GPS!! Would certainly stay again.

Beautiful property and immaculate and comfortable bedroom. The hosts were absolutely fantastic; welcoming, informative and warm, without being intrusive. The breakfast was delicious, the welcome coffee and cake were a lovely touch, and it was delightful being surrounded by stunning scultpture, arts and crafts. This was the perfect place from which to explore the local area.

Norton House is a beautiful old listed building with lots of character and the added benefit of a lovely craft studio full of amazing wire sculptures and local crafted artwork which were available to buy. We were made to feel very welcome by Craig who provided us with tea and cake on our arrival, the lemon drizzle cake was delicious and the full English breakfast every morning was fantastic and kept us going all day! We also enjoyed the short 10 minute walk to a lovely hotel for a drink and an evening meal at an affordable price. We are looking forward to staying there again soon and would highly recommend it.

The warm welcome is always a lovely touch. Second time visiting and already looking forward to returning. Craig’s attention to detail is meticulous but not overpowering, great job by the whole family.
Second time visit and only managed the one night stay again.

Our greeting was lovely, with afternoon tea on arrival. Four-poster very comfy. The breakfast was wonderful, especially the muesli which, despite being pointed in the direction of the recipe provider I have been unsuccessful in recreating at home. The art gallery/shop is a wonderful feature, some talented contributors and I couldn’t resist a small purchase. The walks nearby are beautiful, especially enjoyed looking around the church and the castle. The local shop is also highly recommended, a lovely tea room - size deceptive!

Beautiful location and gardens. The bathroom was clean and roomy. Lovely restaurant, The Potting Shed, is just down the road and we walked there for dinner.
During the night I developed severe pain in my leg and it was difficult for me to climb the stairs. We asked if my husband could bring up a breakfast tray to me and had to insist because they didn't want to allow this. I think they didn't believe him. I will say that once I did get the breakfast, it was quite good and the coffee excellent.
Also, there was a lot of road noise and we had to keep the windows closed. My husband didn't sleep very well because of the noise.

The location of the property was just perfect, with an added bonus of a lovely gallery displaying some beautiful art /crafts, the breakfast was of a very high standard, offering alternatives to the usual.Craig was a great host, welcoming us with tea and cake on arrival , cooling our wine bottles and just being very accommodating to our requests. We stayed as group of friends in the three bedrooms and had use of a room downstairs in the evening to relax.
Just a minor point, the communal area could have had some more arm chairs in addition to the large sofa.

Character and warm welcome by the host.
Some broken fittings.
The bed was not comfy for us.
