Phil is a lovely host. My room was spotless and the breakfast was lovely. There was unlimited top ups if you wanted more of anything
I was getting there and leaving at odd times so Phil kept my luggage to help me out.
Only points to be prepared for is the B&B only take cash, and if you don’t have a car it’s a very steep incline to the property.
Would definitely recommend

a very lovely house, with nice and very clean rooms, a great host family, very good breakfast, where we met some very nice other guests and had good morning chats

Location is very close to town with some amazing views as you walk down the hill into the center.
The host's attitude was off-putting. There was no welcome to speak of, the first communication upon arriving at the door was to inform us that breakfast would not be provided and that card payments would not be accepted. Apparently, this information was available to view on the site, but I must confess I didn't see it. Neither of these would have been big problems if the host had any semblance of warmth but myself and my partner agreed the feeling was more akin to a stern "Bean an Ti'. We were unfortunate in that our fellow guests were obnoxiously loud when they stumbled home - having loud converstations outside the house and proceeding to stumble and trip up the stairs making a lot of noise. This had nothing to do with the accommodation/host until the following morning where we might have expected an apology on behalf of our raucous fellow guests, instead the host complained to us about their lack of sleep. As the noise had kept me awake from 1-3 in the morning and I had not heard the host make any attempts to confront or quieten the offenders at the time, my sympathy was limited. I would not stay here again and would not recommend to family or friends.
