It was my first time using a B&B and it started my travels off perfectly.

It was beautiful and away from town so it was quiet but not too far that you couldn’t walk to town to enjoy the shops and restaurants. John was so informative and a perfect host.

This was an amazing place to stay with an amazing view over the bay from our room. John was an excellent host who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. The freshly baked bread and scones for breakfast were excellent. This was a great place to stay and good value. Would highly recommend staying here and we hope to return again sometime in the future.

Could not be better!!

Really good location - quiet, serene and safe, though bit far away from town. John is very kind and hospitable, he offered me lifts to town several times since I don’t drive. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Cozy and clean room to stay, feels like home. Really worth the price, can’r help recommending!!

We enjoyed our stay; the proprietor gave useful and interesting advice about seein Kinsale.

Very nice view and comfortable common space. Bathroom was small, similar to most we’ve experienced in Ireland.

Too far from town. Would have loved fresh scones at breakfast, but none of the B&B’s in Ireland seem to provided them.

John was an exceptional host. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was outstanding with freshly baked scones and bread as well as a delicious Irish breakfast with both black and white pudding. Our room had an amazing view of the estuary and John kindly allowed us to relax in the garden too. We were very much made to feel at home.

A homely and welcoming bed and breakfast with amazing views

Really lovely host, very welcoming and attentative. Views from the house are incredible It's a little way out of town (a good 20 min walk) but John offered each day to drop us into town. We actually really enjoyed the walk though as you get more of the stunning views. Rooms were pleasant and comfortable. A little tired in places but it felt very homely. We will definitely stay again. I recommend this B&B for those looking for a home from home, a quiet stay and happy to be a little way out of central town. Maybe a note to those who don't like dogs or who are allergic as there is a dog at the property. Very friendly though.

Sheer bliss

The hotel is a 20min walk from town but the views from the bedrooms are so worth it. John was a great host and if we didn’t fancy walking into town, he’d offer to drive us. There was a great choice each morning for breakfast and if you fancied a hot breakfast, he would cook it.

John's B&B is excellent. He is really helpful, and the breakfast is fantastic. The accomodation is close to the city center, and it has a great view. I reccomend this place.
