The bed was a little firm and squeaky.

Great friendly staff, superb location directly by the sea. Comfortable beds, nice large bathroom with a good shower. A good characterful hotel with many charms.
I can think of nothing that would prevent a return.

The Breakfast was the worst we have had in our time on holiday. The timings were given to us for breakfast and covered early morning but those times were not available as the Landlord/chef told us he liked a lay in and the time
given was 8.45 take it or leave it. There was only one other couple staying at the time we were there. Everything else was good.
Andrews attitude was dreadful. Paula was a nice person and very helpful. We will not be going back there.

The very well prepared breakfast was excellent and the property is typical of a comfortable seaside guesthouse.

Had a really lovely holiday at Fairhaven, the holiday was just what I needed following a recent family bereavement, the management and staff were very sensitive to my current situation and provided a supportive environment together with excellent service. Thank you.
There was nothing I didn't like.

The staff were very friendly, pleasant and obliging.
The hotel was a bit tired and needed updating, although nice and clean. The bathroom was very small and cramped.
It was a long walk from the railway station.

Breakfast - the menu was comprehensive, and cooked breakfast was hot, and adequate. The meal was served by an extremely efficient and pleasant lady.
More information on room access at the time of booking would be beneficial - anyone with COPD or mobility issues would have extreme problems in negotiating the thirty-six stairs to the four rooms on the top floor, with narrowing curving stairs at the top and a low handrail on the left-hand side overlooking the void on one side to contend with, and no handrail on the wall on the other to mitigate the difficulty. The room in which we stayed was the fire exit route for the top floor, with a facility for accessing our room affixed to the outside of our door, and which could potentially allow unauthorised access. The actual fire exit to the fire escape was blocked by a bedroom chair, with no additional space inside the room to position it. It was surprising to hear that there was no room service - no daily cleaning, emptying of bins (waste has to be placed outside the door) or making of beds, although we normally turn down our own beds when away, and to be truthful, the room could do with a deep clean. We did bring our own towels, which was just as well, as those supplied were extremely rough. The provision of facecloths which had obviously been used by previous guests was questionable - again, we'd brought our own. The bedding looked extremely careworn, and we bought new pillows and pillowcases for our own use as a precaution on our first day. The bed itself is well past it's use-by date, with loud springs rattling at every turn, and this would have curbed the enthusiasm for any gymnastics.

We enjoyed the hotel and the stay.
My son due to his medical conditions struggled with having to make a decision the night before about what he wanted for breakfast.

The system of ordering breakfast by 8pm the previous evening worked well, as did the set time for the breakfast (which we chose and could change from day to day). The location is good as it's right on the seafront and we had a sea view. On -street parking was unrestricted on the side street near the hotel so that was fine. It was a bit of a hike to the town centre but gave us some exercise to work off the breakfast! Also as we were there for the Victorian Extravaganza it was handy for the field where the vintage transport vehicles were on show. There's a comfortable residents' lounge but no television there. The TV in our room had a 15 inch screen but worked well enough and had a built-in DVD player. Each morning the lovely waitress Mel provided my wife with gluten free toast and lactose free milk for her breakfast as we requested when we booked the room. The host was very friendly and informative.
The hotel decor is very dated, probably from the 1980's although the ensuite had been updated recently. The shower was a bit feeble but worked OK. There's no lift and our room was on the second floor, more good exercise!

Had a lovely October holiday at Fairhaven, the hotel provided everything I needed a spotlessly clean room with a comfortable bed and bathroom facilities with constant hot water and a good supply of soap and fluffy towels. The breakfast and meals were delicious, Mel runs the dining room like a well oiled machine. It is a very friendly hotel as the managers Andrew and Paula say arrive as guests leave as friends. I was also able to buy some marmalade which is sold to raise funds for Guide Dogs for the blind. Looking forward to coming back next year.
There was nothing I didn't like.

It was very dated and everything was a mis-match. Turquoise bathroom suite with brown and beige tiny floor tiles. Metal bedframe that made a noise and floorboards that creaked. Television that was so small.
The gentleman who checked us in was really pleasant.
I am afraid that was the highlight of our stay.

Had a lovely holiday in Llandudno. I was very impressed with the way they keep both guests and staff safe during this time regarding covid with hand sanitizer on every floor and also antibacterial wipes. My room was very comfortable with living room type chairs while watching TV. At the moment servicing of the room is not allowed but the property has an excellent process in place for replenishing towels milk coffee hot chocolate water tea and coffee supplies. The breakfast is perfectly cooked and is a great start to the day. I would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
There was nothing to complain about, everything was perfect thank you.
