The location was convenient and they arranged tours to Chichen Itza which were very well managed
The facilities weren’t very clean and on the first night when we came back from dinner we found the air con unit was leaking and had started flooding our room. After notifying the staff, it seemed there was no urgency to help us bearing in mind it was late at night.

The staff here are fantastic, you can tell they all enjoy what they do and are so friendly, helpful and fun.
Location is great. Beds comfy and good privacy. Free drinking water. Place very social and daily activities. Pool. Jacuzzi etc. loved it
Nothing - just a small suggestion that dorm fem4 could use some shelves/basket in the shower to put toiletries on instead of the floor

It's a sweet spot to meet other young travellers and play drink games, go on wild adventures and have the best time in Tulum. The staff also parties and easily we had 20 people going on a pub crawl almost every single night. Shout out to Richard, our 72 years old buddy, who party with us for a week.

The location and event nights were fun to meet people. nice and friendly
The floor was dirty, the shower was horrible and almost unusable.
The chicken sandwich we ordered on our last day, was not good and the chicken was undercooked and not safe to eat.
We were there for 5 nights and our room was not updated with fresh towels or sheets, and by the end it was quite disgusting. Especially with it being very hot and rainy, we were needing to use the private bathroom frequently to freshen up, and it was just not possible.

Pool area is great, really relaxing and big enough to share with lots of people!
There is a couple of service stations/mini marts 2 mins walk away, and a couple of bigger supermarkets 5-10 mins walk away.
lots of street food close which was delicious, and very close to other food bar options.
approx 20 mins cab (600 peso) to the beach zone.
stayed in an 8 bed dorm which was spacious enough, huge lockers!

Great group of staff at the hostel, very easy to meet other travelers, & there is always something fun going on. WiFi was good for working during the day as well.

loved the vibe and the staff made a real effort to get everyone partying and chatting in the evening. booked a last minute tour through them and it was all super easy and helpful!
water pressure in the shower in my private room was abysmal. not what you expect for nearly £100 per night. otherwise the room was comfortable and good! it is noisy until about midnight, but I slept through it on the night I wanted peace, so no problem for me but not good if you’re a light sleeper! adding 4% to pay by card is a bit cheeky - bring cash!

Location - very good location for central Tulum surrounded by restaurants and stores. far from the beach (more than one hours walk or by taxi) so it depends what’s more important to you, of course we knew it was in the town so this suited us. They do run excursions to the beach occasionally.
Rooms - The private double room we took was small and simple. It was good that it had aircon and mosquito nets on the windows. They also provided shampoo and conditioner. Major cons below.
Social life - it is social, but in a frat boy way. All the games involve body shots, kissing strangers, saying your favourite s*x position, etc. So depends on if that is your vibe or not.
Incredibly noisy - the hostel complex is small so all rooms are surrounding the pool and bar area. The fact they play very loud music until late (1am) is not the issue, as it’s a hostel with a bad so there are certain expectations - it’s that every night, people come back from partying and blast music on portable speakers and scream at full volume until 4-5am. Then, at 8am, breakfast in the bar opens and they start playing their own loud music. You get maybe two hours of sleep. It would be great if the hostel staff could stop such loud behaviour outside rooms all night, and keep breakfast quieter.
Forced to pay 5% extra - If you book on booking.com, you will be asked to provide a card and it says payment will be taken in full before you arrive. This does not happen, it is only a damage deposit. We were asked to pay the full amount in cash on arrival. I didn’t have €400 of cash in pesos so they took my passport. Finally they let me pay by card but with a 5% card fee! I argued that this was not the terms of my booking but they did not care. The amount also changed by $150 which they blamed on local tax rate changing - okay, but wouldn’t be an issue if they took the money when I booked like they were supposed to. The girl on the reception desk waived half of this increase as a gesture, yet on check-out a different colleague just asked us to pay it - no communication.
Staff - Quite unfriendly and don’t care about issues. No info given at check-in (such as Wifi, time of breakfast, excursions) and we were meant to get bracelets that are needed to pay at the bar (you top them up with money and they entitle you to a free welcome drink) but no one provided these. When I finally got one, she charged me for my welcome drink by mistake and said it could not be refunded. We also only got one access key between the two of us, meaning we could never separate.

This is the perfect location for twenty year olds who want to party and meet people, or older people who behave just the same xD You've got the option to go for private suites (quite costly really), or the bed bunks as I did. The facilities of both are quite amazing, and there is a daily assortment of activities, parties, or tours that are organised by CHE Tulum. Parties go mostly till half midnight, which I find respectful towards those who also want to sleep :)
Forget quality sleep. I booked a hostel's bed bunk for 6 nights, and ended up checking out 2 nights before time to simply sleep elsewhere uninterruptedly. Dorms are mixed, and I ended up being awoken at 2h30 in the morning by 2 or 3 who began having sex in the toilet, or climbing together to the upper bed bunk, who would leave the main door open (so, the fresh air of the night and the noise outside would wake you up yes or yes). Things like this.... I know this is a bit beyond the control of the Hostel (which I also don't think it's their attitude to control much), but to me, I was done with the place after 3 nights. Don't recommend longer unless you're really a party animal who wants to sleep till noon somewhat collapsed on a swing bed.

The day trips every day and meet and greets/parties every night were a great way to meet new people. I liked the WhatsApp group. Hot tub is open late night. The bed mattresses were comfy. It was good that they had a beach towel for rent for 50 pesos. I'd recommend staying there Thursday - Sunday. Leave on Monday.
The shower was awful although the Che in Playa Del Carmen was worse. I was in fem 4 the floor of the shower was flooded and would make the entire shower floor wet and dirty. I was in a bottom bunk but the bed frame would creek each time the above person would toss and turn. The towel I was given had a few holes in it. Food was average I don't recommend. They didn't have black tea or english breakfast which is a standard for non coffee drinkers. Staff were ok but felt like you were bothering them if you had any questions.

this hostel has great amenities, nice social area, tha layout just kind of makes sense, there's an ATM too which wasnt in the other Che hostels, the rooms were also a bit more spacious than the other Che's I stayed at, plus its super social, you'll meet so many great people every day and you can book great tours right through the hostel
only thing is the music is loud every night and its tough to sleep without ear plugs or sleeping aid.. they do shut it off at 1am though, but this is what you get in every mexican hostel, especially the Che's as they're so social and party-ish

This is defo a party hostel so stay here to make friends and have a good time. Breakfast is decent for 140 pesos. Staff were nice
They have events running every evening and excursions on almost daily basis
Depending on who is staying in your room, it could get messy. I don't think my room got cleaned more than once in the week I stayed there so I opted to shower in the outside showers. Fortunately, the majority of my housemates were clean so at least the communal space was respected.
They need to clean the pool. Didn't go in as you can see the dirt skirting around

Great party vibes, clean facilities, good location. I’d stay here again.
The food quality was okay for the price.
