Hotellissa oli panostettu yksityiskohtiin kuten huoneen varusteluihin. Viihtyisä pieni hotelli. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Huone oli tilava.

Breakfast was good and satisfying. And it was served on time everyday.
I wish there is room service available.

Hotel Alza Kyoto is in a great location, it's lovely little hotel. The staff were helpful and allowed us to check in early and leave baggage when we left.
It would have been great to have breakfast but that wasn't an option with this hotel. But overall a really good place to stay in Kyoto.

Great location, conveniently located in the northwest corner of the Gion district and a short walk over to the Pontocho area. The amenities were first rate and the staff were accommodating and professional.
Nothing.

Great location and a beautiful large room with every amenity that one would need. Beds were comfortable. Close to many of the picturesque walls and a convenience store right around the corner..perfect!
The breakfast arrangements can be made more clear while checking in. We didn’t realise that you had to book it a day in advance.

The rooms were large and luxurious. The hotel is in an excellent location. The hotel staff were wonderful and helped us arrange a Kaiseki dinner which was one of the highlights of our trip.

Great location, very clean, and wonderful staff; however, what impressed us the most was the hotel’s level of attention to guest’s needs. Our room had double doors and windows to block off street noise (brilliant!), and all in-room amenities plus extra goodies (loved!) were provided. We stayed at 4 different hotels during this 10 days trip in Japan and hotel Alza was the only hotel that I didn’t have to call the frontdesk to ask for an iron and ironboard, or walk to the lobby to get personal care products. I definitely would return to Alza and recommend to others.

Room was super spacious and balcony matched expectations of the nice view. Walking distance to many places including the walk by the river.

Great location and very clean hotel. Super quiet. Within walking distance of two stations and an easy cab ride (about £10 or $13) to the Shinkansen station for those arriving and leaving if you’re getting the high speed train. Getting around is incredibly easy.
The staff at the hotel were so friendly. They couldn’t do enough to help.Japanese breakfasts were a great touch. The hotel is in the Gion district so all the local shrines and hills are very close. I also have to recommend Mr Soy too- a wonderful doughnut place just ten minutes from the hotel. The best in the world! Will definitely stay here again.
Nothing. It was wonderful.

The hotel was really great and in a tranquil areas. It is really fitted for a relax getaway, the view was amazing. Breakfast and dinner was good.
The boiler broke down during our stay so there is no hot water to shower in the room.
But we could get hot water in the common bathroom but it is not enjoyable for me as it was cold during our stay. The staff did their best to rectify the issue though so thank you!

The quality of the build was impressive.
Also, being in 'old' Kyoto near the canals was excellent.
Many restaurants nearby and a lovely view of the river.
It's always nice to eat communally.
So breakfast in the room has its limitations.

Everything: location, view from the rooms, service. The rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable, very nice bathroom, with micro bubble bathtub and lots of amenities. We felt very much pampered staying at Hotel Alza.
None.

the room is huge! the amenities is super complete, i mean, i never found a hotel that provides hair straightener (usually only hair dryer) and there are other useful stuff too that they are provided in the room.
nothing that i can think about

Couldn't have had a better location in Kyoto. Central to all the attractions we wanted to visit, and walking distance to great restaurants and shops.
Best hotel of our trip to Japan. Hospitality of the staff, particularly Liu was best in class. It reminded me of the high standards the hotel industry used to have, informative about restaurants, helped with reservations and were very polite. The facilities in the room were top notch as well.

Very good location, neat to subway, just slightly off Gion thus offered quiet and convenience! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Had Group of 3 and room size was very comfortable.

Our room was very spacious, comfortable, super clean, and simply pretty. There was free water, soybean coffee, tea, and even face masks for us to enjoy in the room.
The staff was extremely kind and helpful, we bored them with a lot of questions but they always gave us good advice.
The location could not have been better.
There could have been a bit more of a choice for breakfast but it was ok. We liked the fact that it was brought into our room.

Outstanding location. Great view on the river and the cherry trees. Spacious room.
Having the breakfast served in the room.
Help from the hotel to book some restaurant.
Nothing.

Huge room for Japan, huge comfortable bed, the best shower I have ever used and great for accessing Kyoto.
The rooms by the river have some noise from the subway. The rooms facing the street were quieter.
10.0 / 10.0
The rooms are so big for Japan. The bed is super comfortable and the shower is amazing. I stayed in a number of rooms as we kept extending our stay, my favourite room was the one facing the street as it was quietest. The ones facing the river seem to have some low level noise from the Subway but it's not very bad my any means. I slept perfectly in all of the rooms.
The breakfast was fine but the Japanese style breakfast wasn't for me. Personal preference only.
