Almost everything about this place was outstanding! House was terrific, roomy, spacious, fit our family of 8 perfectly. The location was also great, a super short walk to the beach, but not on the main drag so it was quiet, easy to find/access. Only downfall was the place wasn't fully clean when we showed up. The bedsheets and floors were not clean. Contacted the owner and they responded immediately and sent a cleaning crew, but they did not clean the room that we had said needed (only the master bedroom, other rooms were good). Other than that, everything else was wonderful, would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This is our second time staying at Stephy’s Place. We absolutely love this house! My only recommendation is for the bed spreads need to be washed after each rental. Ours in the master bedroom appeared to have chocolate or poop on it. We will be back!

The property was laid out great for our family. We enjoyed ourselves. Everyone had privacy and the gathering rooms were large enough for the seven of us. Two suggestions...1. Label light switches (there were too many to find) and 2. Reorganize kitchen cabinets so guests have cupboard space for food and snacks. (Nobody needs 30 coffee mugs.) Wonderful home away from home.

It was the perfect spot for our family. We loved being able to walk to the beach or restaurants. Idalia shortened our stay but loved there were locals around us who could give us advice on how to react. The grill wasn't heating up and the outdoor shower needed some finessing to cool down the water temp and with that, would definitely stay there again!

Overall great stay. However, the master bed frame was incredibly cheap and partially broken upon arrival. It completely broke on our second night (when we found that it wasn't put together with enough hardware) and we slept the remainder of the nights with the mattress on the floor (it didn't have a box spring). The other king bed (not master bed) had a great box spring and frame... but not the master. Additionally, I felt like we spent a lot of time taking other occupants trash/recycling to the curb... we didn't even use the recycling bin (but found out after the fact that it was full and we were supposed to take it to the curb).... that was difficult to digest. But it was still a great stay.

I would never stay here again. The location is amazing, but aside from the one-block walk to the ocean, there is very little to recommend about this place. Upon arriving, we found the house unclean. There was food on the floors and counters, the beds were made with dirty sheets, and the towels in the cabinets were still damp. Immediately I contacted the number that was provided (on an envelope to include a tip for the housecleaner, which I found bold considering the state of the house), and she immediately sent a clean-up crew while we went to dinner. We returned to the house and found that the clean-up crew did minimal secondary cleaning. The bedsheets were still not changed, and the floors still had crumbs on them. I contacted the number provided again, and someone came to the house immediately.
I showed her that the bottoms of my feet were black from walking on the floor. I showed her hairs on the pillowcases. I pulled a half-eaten cookie from under the coffee table. There was a pair of women’s underwear on the floor in one bedroom. She acknowledged that the state of the house was poor, and we arranged for her to come in the morning. In the morning a crew arrived who scrubbed the whole house, leaving it in spotless condition. I appreciated the hard work that Brandy and her team did to rectify the shortcomings.
One morning, a neighbor asked us to double-check that we had our doors locked, as people often roam the neighborhood looking for easy targets. Sure enough, during the week I was woken in the night by a noise outside. In the morning there were fresh cigarette butts at the front door from an unwelcome visitor. This was especially alarming as the gate to the backyard didn’t lock, and the sliding glass door’s lock was broken, so was secured with a wooden bar.
There are holes in the drywall. The backyard had trash in it. The coffee table has a broken glass pane with loose shards. The invitation to the house says “Feel free to use our beach towels”; the house has no beach towels. “Feel free to use the grill”; the grill was so rusted it was inoperable. "Use our beach equipment"; the chairs were so rusted they stained my swimsuit. There were no kitchen towels left for us, so we sacrificed a hand towel from a bathroom for the week.
If you are coming to Indian Rocks Beach for spring break, and don’t care if your rental is clean and accurately described, stay here. If, however, you’re planning a family vacation, save your money.

We had a great time during our stay at this close to the beach house. Great location for everyone's interests either being sunset walks on the beach, local restaurants or taking in a spring training game. The house was spacious and had the Florida charm. We would stay again.

Property was nice. Close walk to the beach. We had to boil water to do dishes. We took cold showers for 3 days NO HOT WATER! The front door would not lock when we left the house. The coffee pot was filthy the floors left your feet dirty but the towels were clean.

We had a wonderful time and it's a great location. The house is large for a big group and we appreciate a owners that is dog friendly. Due to it being a vacation property it's a bit rough. As you enter there's gouges in the paint on the corners, minus are dirty and the doorways is broker so you use a stick for security. The hone just great for us all for the week. Outdoor is awesome with the outdoor canopy and chairs. The fireplace is great but the chairs need some help. Thanks all!

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. The side door is in such bad shape someone could push it and walk in. The tile floors were filthy and we had to kill a few roach bugs. It was an easy walk to beach, loved the beach and loved the master bath large shower. The house could be awesome with some repairs and updates.

We enjoyed the house so much. It's close walk to the beach was priceless. We enjoyed being able to have our doggie with us. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We enjoyed Local dining and take out. The grill was great to use for dinner at the house. Wonderful experience very happy with everything.

Stephys place needs some TLC
We loved Indian Rocks Beach. Nice beach, great restaurants, not too crowded. No problems locating the house or getting in with the code provided. The house was in a quiet neighborhood and was an easy walk to the beach, but could use a good cleaning and would be much nicer with some TLC in a few areas- we left it much cleaner than we found it. No cleaning supplies were furnished so we had to purchase them along with toilet tissue and a couple towels and wash cloths because there were only 5 bath towels, 4 wash cloths and 0 beach towels when we arrived. One of the three bedrooms was very cramped and not really sufficient for a couple, but would be fine for kids because it is very small, does not have a closet, and you have to walk thru the house to use the shower located in the laundry room which did not have a locking door. Also, the ceiling light fixture in that bedroom is between the twin beds and is extremely low and you have to duck (or hit your head) if you are over 5’6. There were lots of flying bugs and a few crawling bugs all over that bathroom and the laundry room. The toilet in that bathroom would run from time to time. The other two bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable. The washing machine stuck in the spin cycle and the dryer only dried on high heat. The couches in the den were old and broken down and the seats of the outdoor dining chairs on the patio were rotted and unusable. We had an enjoyable time and feel that the price was reasonable, but would not stay in this particular house again in its current condition.

Great house with surprisingly lots of room.
This is the second time we have rented this house for a long weekend as part of a family celebration. The house appears much smaller from the outside than it really is. There is plenty if room for everyone to get comfortable. The kitchen has the basic necessities. There is a large back yard with a fire pit and a BBQ grill. Every bedroom and the living room have a TV. All information as well as check in and check out are done through through the Amazon Alexs devise in the kitchen. Dishwasher and dishwashing soap, three trasbsgs. and a roll of paper towels are provided, as well as one liquid handsoap in the guest bathroom and second bathroom. We had to buy/bring our own bath soaps and kitchen towels though. For a quiet vacation a small block from the beach, this is the perfect place to stay with your family.

Close to the beach
House is close to the beach, couple of blocks walking. 3 bedrooms but it is advertised that sleeps nine. Not really, problem is the mattresses on the sofa sleepers are not useable. A metal spring with fabric over, not a comfortable situation. The back sliding door did not lock. Large enough for nine of us but 3 had to sleep on the sofas, not the sofa sleepers. When we checked in the place was not clean like it should be. We even had to clean the kitchen counter tops. The bedroom furniture drawers were dirty, etc. Who ever is hired to clean is not doing a thorough job. Had an outdoor grill which was nice and the kitchen is large enough to make dinners.

The entire stay was fantastic . The house could use a sharp knife and Stronger water pressure for showers. But other than that, it was in the perfect spot and the walk to beach was awesome. I would definitely stay again next year.

A little clunky
The air conditioner went out in the middle of our stay. The maintenance team did get on it right away and was fixed the following day, however we did have to leave and make arrangements for one night somewhere else as a result. Not the most convenient process for 9 people to split up and spend the night elsewhere at our expense. Some other items of the property do need to be fixed and/or replaced. Although these issues didn't inconvenience us like the a/c going out, but they should be addressed. Every toilet seat was loose, really loose. The central bathroom vessel sink wobbled severely. In the master bath shower one head has hardly any water pressure and the other one is basically non-functional. The kitchen faucet needs to tightened at the base. The sliding glass door needs adjusting as it is so hard to open and close. It does NOT lock either. We had stayed 5 years ago and returned based on that experience. This time was a little clunky and would like to see some basic improvements and care before returning again. Regards!

Awesome
We had 8 people that came and went over the course of the week. We all fit perfectly with room to spread out. Our dog came with us! We had an amazing time! The beach is literally a block away. The traffic in that area is crazy busy. Allow plenty of time to go anywhere. We had an awesome time, plan to come back next year

Family Vacation
We have stayed here a few years before and can definitely tell there has been a lot of wear and tear over the years since our last stay. The sofa sleeper has springs starting to come through it so we were unable to use the bed in it. The water temperature and pressure in the master bathroom was not that good. The lock on the back door also is broken and will not lock. Other then those few things we loved the house and our time there. We spent time with family that we have not seen in years due to COVID. We loved being so close to everything. Was kinda a bummer that there was red tide during our week there and didn’t get to enjoy the beach that much. This house is so pretty and is starting to need some TLC. We love this house and hope to visit again soon!

My family and I had the best time at Stephys place for our vacation!! It was even better than the pictures! All the beds were comfy! The rooms were all big! TV in every room! The only thing was the backdoor to patio doesn't lock and is hard to open. If that's the only thing I can say about it then that tells you the place is amazing! The place definitely could fit more than 10 comfortably! They even provide all the beach materials you need for the beach! And also an Alexa! If you have big family I highly suggest to visit Stephys place if your coming to Florida! My family will for sure be back again! Thank you again for sharing that beautiful beachhouse for others to experience!!❤

Great place for large families
Check in via code was super easy. The instructions for checking out were posted visibly in the kitchen area. The place is certainly larger than it looks from the outside. Everything is very neat and clean. There are plenty of towels and the kitchen is well stocked with glasses, plates, silverware etc. There are a few minor things I have to criticize: Though the kitchen is well stocked and there were emergency salt and pepper shakers, there was no sugar, nor could we find any Windex to clean surfaces. We also had trouble getting several cable news channels, though network TV and streaming services did work great. The WiFi was also weak at times. And the dishwasher was so loud and rattled like crazy that you could only turn it on when you were out of the house. Aside from these minor issues, I recommend this home. It is clean, large, in a quiet neighborhood and in walking distance to the beach.

Excellent location and very attentive property manager
The property has an excellent location and very attentive property manager. The only reason we didn't give it a 5 star rating is that the house needs some TLC and a good cleaning. Several items need to be fixed but they do work like the washer/dryer (that have broken knobs), the shelving in the master bathroom is broken so one can use it, the back sliding door needs repair, the kitchen sink sprout is loose, and some drawers in the furniture are loose and can't be used. Also, the house was very dusty and dirty. It seems that only the cleaning people fix the bed and change the garbage. Maybe they folded towels a certain way. We had to clean a bit before getting settled in. Also, the a/c is terrible. We were there 5 nights and for the first 2 days, it was about 80 degrees in the house, even after following strict instructions on making it cooler. However, it was still pleasant overall and we would stay there again.

Great location and very spacious but definitely a rental
I normally would steer away from a negative review, however, I think they are so important for choosing a vacation spot. I even went back and read the reviews on this property again to make sure we were talking about the same place! This property has some very nice features including a great location, easy access to the beach, 2 very comfortable king size beds and very nice bathrooms. The master bathroom was fantastic! The rest of the property screams rental! One bedroom that had 2 twins beds was not even used due to the state of the bedding. The furniture in the front living room was filthy and propped up on cardboard. The back living room furniture is nearly broken with another filthy random couch placed behind it. The back yard is fine for pets but certainly not a place you would want to hang out. This could really be such a wonderful property with just a little bit of attention to the many issues within the interior. I’m sure it’s difficult to maintain a rental, however, it must be done. We had to rewash nearly every single thing in the kitchen...which may be due to the previous renter. Although, the cleaning staff should at least check to make sure things are clean. I think at best, the house was swept and linens changed but certainly not cleaned. If you are interested in a spacious home and the location only, then this is the place for you. I would stay here again if the house was cleaned properly and had at least decent furnishings. I would not stay here again if there were no changes to the current state.
