Excellent staff, room with ocean view, food , customer service...we had bikes Included too!
The place is mesmerising! The beach side is cleaned daily in the morning. It's very peaceful.
.
lots of mosquitos , the roads around the hotel and in general could be improved, they have massive potholes filled with muddy water all the time... Not fun lol but we made it work with the bicycles.
There's no tea bags in the room

This place is absolutely beautiful it’s on the most beautiful part of the beach.
They didn’t have a full body mirror in the room or iron.

The location is excellent. A bit away from the main town, which is great because it’s a lot more calm and relaxing.
The free bikes are a fantastic perk and allow you to explore the island at your leisure.
The beach is incredible and the view from the room was beautiful. There is a private beach out front and free paddle board rentals to cruise the calm water.
The free breakfast was delicious! Multiple courses, endless coffee, juices, and a la carte menu with tasty options. We were stuffed every morning.
Some features were a bit outdated and needed some repairs/upgrades.

the setting and the quality
one night we were kept awake by loud bats nesting in our roof

amazing property and staff and amenities
only thing that would make it excellent is a shaded area in the pool to cool down. rooms could do with sound proofing as you can hear echoey steps from above and blow but it’s also an island so it’s alright
8.0
incredible view from the room and the beach
the location is ideal, the room lovely
little to no service if you need towels/water by the beach, would have expected at least free water refill for that price
food quality was heterogeneous, some very nice dishes but most of the meals average at best

The location is incredible! The room and the staff really nice too, but all the rest was a mess unfortunately during our stay..very disappointing.
The food was super bad in the main restaurant! The first night we had salmon pasta, and tuna tataki and another grilled fish, and my boyfriend had belly pain all night long. We stayed overall 3 days, and literally struggled to figure out what to eat. We would only recommend guacamole and shrimp tacos from the menu available only during lunch. The hotel manager though was kind enough to ask us what happened and received the feedback, so I hope moving forward the food will get better.
Unfortunately that's not all! We got bed bugs!!! The first night we both felt that we slept weird and the second night I started seeing bites on my body, around my neck. Initially I thought it's mosquitos as because of the location (near the water and lot's of nature) it has a lot. But then the bites started being very scratchy, and I started getting more and more. After one day my boyfriend started also seeing bites on his body. We thought it might be an allergy or something. The third day we checked out and flew back to Mexico City. As the scratching was getting worse, we decided to see a doctor the next morning, that told us we had "escabiosis" = "scabies". We had to seek immediate medical treatment, figure out a way to sterilise all our clothes and luggage in Mexico City and overall the next days were a mess!
Such a pain really! Even thought the place looks like paradise, we had such a tough time, so I wouldn't recommend it. Plus given the amount of money we paid per stay, I would expect excellent food & cleaning/ sanitisation amenities!

The bed was very comfortable and we had a perfectly silent and efficient air conditioning. The breakfast was of the highest quality with a great food choice. The was facilities were very "eco-chique" and we liked the clever cascading water shower system. The beach was maintained immaculately, with plenty of space and lounge chairs for all! The 7.00pm sunsets became a routine spectacle, atmospheric, and good for the soul!
Hard to think of anything really

Absolutely stunning hotel in every way. Perfect for romantic getaways, honeymoons etc.
The hotel is right opposite the sand dune which is walkable in the middle of the ocean at low tide and well worth the experience. Staff were so friendly and attentive. Restaurant was so nicely decorated and was romantic at night. Loved that the bikes were included and even the paddle boards!
Definitely believe the hype. It is what it looks like in the photos!
We didn’t have the best experience with the food. Some of the options were great but some of the others were bland and lacked seasoning.
We would have appreciated a thicker duvet as the room has air conditioning and it’s nice just to be all cosy.
But this certainly didn’t detract from our overall experience.

We had the BEST time on our honeymoon and are so happy we picked Villas Flamingos. From the time we arrived until we reluctantly had to leave, we were treated like special guests. The staff showed great care and attention. The location was perfectly relaxing, easy to get into town but far away enough to enjoy peace and quiet. The room and property were beautiful, the food and drink was on point, we were especially thrilled with the Pre-Hispanic Dinner option.

Amazing hotel, we both slept so well as the room was really comfortable and the hotel is very peaceful - they don't play much music near the rooms and it's right at the end of the road so you're not disturbed at all by traffic or hotel noise. The location is very tranquil. Our seaview room was beautiful, and they included lots of nice little extras like a welcome drink, free homemade cookies in the room, and a Nespresso machine. Staff were always smiling and friendly. Couples massage was amazing. You can also arrange a private candlelit dining area and special menu (which my boyfriend did to propose to me!) which is really special.
Wifi signal is patchy - we couldn't get it in the room - but given that we were there to chill out we didn't mind this much. You can access it well in the restaurant. Massages were expensive even compared to London prices but they were exceptionally good!

We were able to relax and get off the grid!
I would’ve liked better Wi-Fi.

The villas and the hotel design is just amazing. Right on the beach, they clean existing seaweeds, offer paddle boards and bikes for free, change towels twice a day, and the location is the closest it can be to punta mosquitoes.
Moreover, the hotel is full of fun and relaxing chilling points with sunbeds, etc.
The location being a bit far from the city center making the hotel the most relaxed spot on the island, with no music allowed by guests or hotel.
The location being far, you need to take a taxi if you want to visit the city center for coffee or dinner, but on the other hand it enables the hotel to have a beautiful clean private beach.
Latte or cappuccino isn't included in the breakfast.
When it's raining, there are unpleasant smells all over the island. Same goes in the hotel, which is something I expected to be taken care of in some way.
The pools got full of mosquitoes and weren't cleaned as often as needed.
One last thing, the hotel had a renovation of a certain part and they did not mention it. Therefore, during the day your relaxing vibes can get ruined by unpleasant construction site noises.

Location of the hotel is great, far from the city center on a beautiful shore.
3 different pools which give some privacy from other guests.
Breakfast was tasty and the service in the restaurant was great.
In the check In the hotel wanted to double charge us for a change in booking penalty we already paid.
It took very long to figure it out.
Room has not taste in design, just a random collection of elements and maintenance is not good. (sink was leaking).

the position on the beach with the second bank of sand was nice. The jacuzzi feature in the cielo room was a nice touch. beds were large and comfortable.
Staff seemed to have had no training in hospitality, we arrived to check in and sat at the front desk where the hotel employee continued to type for 10 minutes without looking up or acknowledging us at his desk. Nobody showed us around the hotel, no effort was made to let us know that our room was ready before the check in time. I watched our suitcases be taken into our room before they let us know our room was ready, I had to go to front desk and ask for a key. the rooms were tired with a temperamental bathroom tap that sometimes worked fine and other times spurted water directly ay one's waist, particularly annoying if you had just dressed for dinner. On the last day it looked as if the toilet was leaking. Mosaic tiles coming loose from the sink and shower. the breakfasts were really poor, even scrambled eggs were dry and had been cracked straight into the pan rather than whisked beforehand. Margaritas tasted like they were made from margarita mix rather than fresh. Giant gristle and bone inside a chicken quesadilla. They cancelled our beach side honeymoon dinner we had pre-paid in part for, with no forewarning and made no effort and no effort to reschedule it for us.

We stayed in the Honey Moon Suite for two nights. The room is super nice and exceeded my expectations. The shower in the outdoor balcony was great to cool off while enjoying great views of the ocean. I loved everything about the place but it was a bit far away from the center of town.

Beautiful hotel at the end of the beach. Quieter end with gorgeous sandbank in front of the hotel. Rooms are nice, well equipped and clean. Food is delicious and reasonably priced for a luxury hotel. Breakfast was very tasty and you could order multiple dishes and it was still all included. Good selection of drinks. Friendly staff. Great beachside bar. It was quite at night time whilst up the beach there was loud music from bars and hostels.
We liked everything but just things to note if planning to stay - Only get wifi in communal areas, no TV in the room for rainy days, 15 minute walk down the beach to the town.

Far from busy side of the island, friendly staff, very good food and drinks, nice rooms
Some noise from construction during the week, two paddle boards a bit too little for a hotel of this size!

The most amazing hotel and island we have ever stayed on! We wanted a location with an amazing beach and also near to bars and restaurants without being in a large resort and Hotel Villas Flamingos was perfect. We visited Tulum as part of our trip and much preferred Holbox due to the beautiful sand bank and choice of bars and restaurants in the town. The hotel is a 15/20 minute walk down the beach to the main town which can get quite lively, however the hotel is a perfect escape to peace. The rooms are spacious and clean, plenty of sun beds which are very well spaced apart for privacy and no loud music being played so you can really relax. The hotel has the best access to the sand bank which you can walk for miles down the coast at low tide which was magical early morning. All the food and drinks at the hotel were incredible and there was plenty of choice for breakfast for everyone’s taste. The staff were so friendly and helpful, Karina helped us book a kayaking tour and also helped my husband book some surprise massages and dinner on the beach which were all incredible experiences. we parked our car on the mainland right by the harbour and the boats run every 30 minutes and are very reliable, which was good when catching our flight home! We booked a room with sea view which came with a hammock and seating outside and an amazing view of the sea which was amazing. The birds can be noisy in the morning so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper, that was the only noise we heard all night!
I would not hesitate to book again!
