We wanted a Japanese cultural experience and Jukeiso did not disappoint. The most amazing food, with delicate flavours and perfect presentation. We enjoyed the private bathing experience (there’s a public bath also). Our room was huge and spotlessly clean. We chose and recommend a room with a view to the floating torii gate. Nice bathroom and toilet in the room. We were served tea on arrival in our room. Our bags were brought to us from the luggage locker at the ferry terminal (because we had lunch and did the ropeway trip before checking in). Traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast were delicious. Amazing staff. We loved our stay and will always remember.
(Not a complaint) we discovered that our 60+ bodies aren’t built for sleeping on futons.

Amazing staff, location, food, comfort and the view from our room was incredible!
The best place we stayed in Japan.

Everything was spectacular… our room had a magical view in the Torii gate and the Itsukushima shrine. The staff was amazingly kind and attentive, the smallest detail was taken into account even nefore we thought of it, and the Japanese breakfast was amazing. Best ryokan we stayed at in Japan!
Everything was perfect.

Dinner was multi course and really good- everyone got stuffed! The room had an amazing view of the torii. The private onsen was spectacular. Staff were really helpful and the shuttle to the ferry was great.
The futon was a little uncomfortable (used to softer beds). The stairs to reach the building were intense. It's a bit of a (scenic) walk from the ferry.

Amazing staff and service. Best traditional ryokan we have stayed at

beautiful ryokan with great lovely staff. the 30min private onsen was amazing
didn’t have good communication via booking.com messaging app - meant we couldn’t book the free shuttle from ferry to the stay and had to walk (which was very difficult). once at hotel found out they only do free shuttle pick ups from ferry after 3pm

Great location and great service! The staff is really taking care of you!

We arrived on the island in the morning and walked around the streets, shrine, forest, (the ferry arrived on time). We were thankful for being collected from the pier and being driven to the accommodation. Beautiful views ( water and mountains) from the windows. Staff were very helpful
My fault - went for a walk at night and did lose my way back.
4.5
Excellent accommodation, with view of the Torii Gate. The dinner and breakfast were excellent. The Hotel does a complimentary pick up and drop back at the ferry, and everything went very smoothly. The private onsen was excellent, and guests are allowed 30 minutes of free usage. Highly recommend.

Very good
The outside onsen can only be used for 15min a day.

Location, ocean view, breakfast, spaciousness. The front desk agent even dropped my luggage off near the ferry when it was time for my departure!
Could be tough for those with mobility issues as there are some stairs to climb to the actual location, although I recommend contacting them as they are very accommodating.

The room was spacious! We had tea and a sweet snack after check in. Reserved a private bath for 30 mins for free (it was a short time but they had a separate public bath) and was very relaxing. The Japanese breakfast was also delicious.
The location was on the farther side since we only walked from the port but it's near to the sightseeing areas.

Staff is attentive & warm. Room is big. The kaiseki dinner & breakfast is great.
The futon bedding is a little hard.

beautiful Roykan. a little out of the town. they will pick you up from the ferry terminal.
restaurant wasn’t open, so we went into town

The views were incredible.
Was not prepared for the number of stairs to get to the entrance.

How accommodating they were! We were almost 2 hours late for dinner, and they still served it to us beautifully, with a smile!
Just a little had to get to, but that's because we tried to get their on our own! They will gladly pick you up at the ferry station! Let them do it!

Lovely staff, very attentive friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
It’s dated, and needs some investment, but that also gives it its charm
4.5
Beautiful room and sea view. It was lovely to get to use the private onsen free of charge! Staff was the most friendly and helpful I've ever met, going as far as picking us up when we arrived and delivering our bags to the station when we left. Amazing overall experience!
