Great.
Very nice in all aspects.
Very minor stuff -
Fresh milk would have been great with the coffee & the cornflakes.

Second time staying here, because of the great location and cozy interior.

Great location, cozy, kitchen and dining room were great!
I stayed in a double room with shared bathroom. Didn’t like the fact that the balcony on which people were smoking in the evening was right next to the only opening window of my room. Everything else was great!

Great location, loved the single room with private bathroom, cozy interior!
4.5
location and ease of getting in
caution folks who might struggle with stairs but not an issue for me.

Die Lage direkt an der Hallgrimskirkja und nur 5 Min. zur Innenstadt ist TOP. Preis-Leistung ist Top
Alles war ok.

Nikola was a very sweet person and helpful, keeping the kitchen and dining room clean and tidy and helping out when needed, and always with good manners.. My small cozy one-bed room was clean, comfortable bed and had everything i needed
I would put on perhaps better curtains in the room, to make it darker in light iceland’s summer nights,
But I fortunately had my blindfold with me;)

Very nice reconstructed rooms with sink and shared bathroom, which was clean and beautiful. Beds were very cozy and we apreciate a lot that there were full equiped kitchen and you could use a cereals, milk, jam and tee free of charge.
Nothing, absolutelly perfect.

The energy, it was very comfortable and the people were really nice
The sink and shower were clogged and there wasn’t any conditioner

We stayed in the garden house mid May. Despite our earlier misgivings, our studio was warm, not to say hot, probably thanks to a floor heating. The studio was small but had all the essentials incl. a desk and chair where one could work if required. Also, despite the fact that the place is very central just opposite the cathedral, the garden is very quiet. Everything was clean and neat, comfy bed, an electric kettle was provided. We could also go up to the main house kitchen and lounge for coffee. A kitchen for guests is provided if required. The host seems to be only intermittently present but this did not bother us since we did not have any issues, key in the lock, etc. Great location to see the city. The price was competitive -- esp. when compared to other venues that we inspected. What's not to like?
We only stayed one night so there was no time to notice any minute defects. The big picture seemed OK. The view of the garden house and any ground floor room is into the garden so in theory, anyone spending their time in garden can look in unless the blinds are drawn all the time. Travellers sensitive to such issues should opt for upper floors.

I liked everything from first point of entry, the warmth in the words contained in the personalized letter that directs you to your room to the time we left the house the next day. The location as well is unimaginably good, right in the heart of the city.

Great location, lovely communal kitchen with all appliances available and free parking around the house. The room was cozy for having 2 single beds. The owner was accomodating and helpful.
The bathroom has no ventilation which made the ceiling a bit moldy.

L'hôte a été très aimable dès mon arrivée car j'ai pu laissé mes bagages avant le check in mais aussi après le check out pour pouvoir profiter au mieux des activités à Reykjavik. La cuisine et salle de bain était parfaite pour une nuit.

Lovely place very close to the Hallgrimskirkja. Very nice style, they strive to keep the old burgoise decor, loved every detail!
Rooms a bit noisy - specially the one next to the entrance door, the door makes a lot of noise when opening.

Vielen Dank 🌞

What a great stay! Everything from a warm welcome and warm departure. The ambiance and the way the guesthouse is set up, you can stay in your room, or come out into the kitchen/dining area, which is absolutely worth doing. Nikola is a wonderful host, very helpful & accommodating. The room was a good size, the whole guesthouse was well heated and always a pleasure to come in from the cold. The beds were comfortable, shower was a good pressure. "Bus Stop #8" is very close to the Guesthouse (1-2 minute walk) and you can book all of your excursion pick-ups from here. It is right beside an iconic church that changes colour with the sky. I've added photos of the church/bus stop 8 and the view from my room. You can see that it is a quiet area, but not far from the centre. I had a very nice stay here. A Guesthouse is a great way to meet other travellers from all over the world. If you normally go with hotels, maybe think again for this trip, as you will have a more sociable experience in a Guesthouse with all kinds of travellers.
