Lovely lodge at the foot of Hohenstein
The location is lovely, at the foot of the Hohenstein mountain, we had an amazing view from our terrace. The accommodation consists of semi-detached stone bungalows, they stay cool inside even during the heat of the day, so that was great. The staff was lovely, very attentive and friendly. We stayed 2 nights, the food was a bit variable the first evening and very good the second. We did a sundowner drive with the guide Abram and it was really lovely - the drive, the birds and animals, the conversation, the sundowner... really recommended! There are also 3 hiking trails that start right from the reception, we did the Kudu trail, it is well marked and has good views but you need to start early, otherwise it will be too hot towards the end of the walk!
The internet connection was really bad, but the manager said they are working to improve it.

Good
Ralph, the manager was very helpful and friendly. attractive outlook towards the Hohenstein mountains and pleasant walks around the property
the cold shower in the morning. One solar water heater serviced two apartments so when the guests in the next door room had evening showers there was not enough hot water left for my wife and I to shower in the morning even though we had not showered the previous evening.

Fantastic place, highly recommended
Absolutely fantastic place: peace and quiet, walking trails, wildlife viewing, amazing landscape, beautiful view of Hohenstein, spotless and comfortable room, good food, cold beer, wifi at the restaurant, friendly welcome. I wish we could have stayed at least another night.

Disappointing, not value for money
Beautiful location, nice scenery around
I was mislead by high rating of this accommodation which didn’t prove to be the case in reality, despite sensitive price tag. We had quite a few issues. 1. When we arrived security kept us 15 mins at the gate as they didn’t have keys to let our car in. 2. Room got heated during the day and it felt like in oven all the time, even at night when temperatures fell outside to 15 degrees (no AC in the room). 3. there was terribly bad smell coming from bathroom 4. Wi-Fi was disaster even at reception, we asked staff to restart router but they just refused, told us the problem was with our IPhones and laptops. 5. Food was very average. Additionally, they charged us even for tap water as apparently their half board includes food only. 5. Staff was rude and arrogant. During check out when we were trying to explain issues we faced as feedback receptionist didn’t care at all and just walked away to other guests in the middle of conversation. Usually I’m not picky, but having paid $200 per night I would expect a bit better quality, especially comparing to other much better camps we stayed in at much lower price. Don’t recommend at all!

The last and most wonderful stay on a memorable trip to Namibia. Would love to come back!
Stunning location. Really quiet and peaceful. We were the only guests in the property for the 2 days of our stay! Service was excellent, food was excellent
Fan in the room, could have done with air conditioning
