nice clean pretty house. very walkable to nearest train station.
nothing

Good location on walking distance from the station (10 mins). Great and fast communication with the owner. Easy walking to most sightseeing locations (approx. 10 mins). Sufficient space for a family of 5, especially compared to the hotel rooms in Japan which generally are quite small.
4.7
Very big space, comfortable, responsive owners and clean. suitable for max 8 pax. Feel like at home!
Just wonder to scan all guests passport and take video is it really necessary? Other than that all good.
4.7
The location was perfect. You can walk to the local market and the preserved street. Lot of options for food around.

The property was amazing! Super comfortable and the location was really good, close to the train station and the old town.
Nothing! It was great. I would definitely recommend it

Excellent house in the center of Takayama. Easy check in process and good size even for big groups.
4.7
Great location to the Old Town section and the train station. The guide from the host meant it was easy to find the property, and perfect house for our family to stay in, including a toddler.
4.7
Spacious house with everything you could need close to the old part of town. We walked from the train station and everywhere we went. Enjoyed the photos of local sites and local craft items in the house especially after being out in the town and seeing that they reflect the local area.

It's a very central spot, and the apartment is spacious and well-equipped
The heater downstairs does not keep the cold out. While it is very comfy upstairs, the downstairs area was very cold in the morning hours.

We liked that the room was exact to the pictures and that the host communicated very clearly in advance, he also shared a bunch of information pertaining to the check in etc.
Oh man, we loved the tub!! We were able to experience the onsen experience and it was such a treat after a long day.
We're also very thankful to the host for the washing machine and all the racks as it helped us significantly.
It does get quite cold in the winter but once the heater is on, all is well.
I'd say that it's moderately close to a combini and a decent walk to the train station, but! It is very very very close to the major old streets where all the shops are at! We enjoyed the location very much.
The beds were very comfortable, and the entire place was very very clean!
We had a good stay overall and was thankful that it wasn't too far
At night, the interior house was a little too dark and dim for our liking.
One of my travel companions also mentioned that apart from the lighting, the Do not open signs for some doors were a little on the scary side too- especially because it's more of a traditional house.
Perhaps the curtains upstairs could be changed too- as they are blackout curtains, they make the entire place very dark.
There were many rules to follow and we were afraid of being penalised so we tried to follow as closely to them as possible. Additionally, the recycling can be a little confusing, but hopefully we got it right!
We did spend a bit of time looking for the house, but once we found it, all was well- if you're staying here, remember that the exterior is grey and not yellow~

Clean and spacious

The house is lovely and very spacious. Lots of instructions around in English and Japanese for using the appliances. The beds were lovely and very comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen fully equipped (except for a bottle opener but we managed ;) ) All in all we had a lovely stay. Very near the station and very easy to find. We never met the owner, just picked up the keys from a box lock and checked in online, both very easy.
Stairs a little steep so maybe harder to anyone with mobility issues but we were fine.

everything is so comfort and clean. my family has a memorable experience

Location was excellent and great local experience. Short walk to or from the train station. Short walk to lots of eateries. The house was very clean and good ammenities.
My only suggestion would be for additional lounge chairs, there is only one two seater.

Love the cleanliness of the house. Easy process for check-in.
Nope.
