Loved the experience of staying on an Outback Station. We had a lovely authentic Timber cabin up the track past a couple of brumbies in the bushes- very comfy bed and bathroom with a huge corner bath . Behind the cabin was a rocky red escarpment which my husband and young Jack Russell climbed .The meals both nights were tasty and home cooked with a glass of wine from the bar . Drive or walk up to the back hill of the Station for the vast stunning view across the MacDonnell Ranges - not to be missed .A beautiful outdo pool for the warmer days was beautifully done - Thank you Nicky and family for creating this little bit of paradise-the trees and shrubs were bountiful due to so much much rain.

Breakfast great
Location magic
Heaps of birds
Another blanket in the jail for the kids at night would have been good - we were there in the middle of winter though

We were upgraded from the glamping tents to the cabins. The cabins were amazing. so we’ll done with a great bathroom and a verandah to sit on.
The directions were good and we found where the place no issues. It was a quick drive out from Alice.
Dinner and drinks at the homestead were also fantastic.
I’ve already recommended to family and friends.

Stunning location, a beautiful pool, and very comfortable beds
The dog was protective of the property and had a go at ours. The kitchenette was very dirty

Beautiful location and authentic styled cabins.
Poor booking management and just disappointing. On arrival our booked cabin airconditioning was broken. We were told we are getting an "upgrade" to better cabin. The "upgrade" was lower in price when I made the booking I could see the prices of cabins and only had one double bed. I was being given a "downgrade" from a cabin with 4 beds to one with a double shared bed. I was not travelling as a couple and to be assumed a shared double bed would be okay was offensive. Because I was aware of the available options whilst booking I knew this upgrade was lower in price and asked to have my booked preference I paid for. Airconditioned or not I did not book a not share a bed. No refund in the price difference was offered. Then I was told to have a drink at the bar and wait 15minutes. Turned out to be a 45minute wait and what should have been a complementary drink from the bar was a highly priced one whilst waiting for the staff to correct the booking mistake, also the staff mentioned they were not ready for us when the booking was made 14 days in advance. The prices are high, so make sure you get what you paid for. It was meant to be a super treat but it is not worth arriving at a venue being tired from a drive to be confronted by staff that is not prepared and excuses. When we settled to go to the pool there was a group of 10 playing music from a boom box till late at night. I would expect to have better management at this price, asking for the volume to be turned down on a property like this when guest want to be in nature and experience the outback in quiet. Which we could have had the experience we wanted and paid for.

What a beautiful unique place to stay. Such a quintessential Australian experience stating in the log cabin. The family running the homestead were kind and helpful and the food was magnificent after an afternoon floating around in the pool.
I loved everything!!

cupboards where the cooking facilities were had cobwebs - nothing serious

loved the landscape setting, the animals, the accommodations. it was the Outback experience I was looking for. friendly and sincere staff along with the gourmet food were outstanding. it felt like home. I could definitely have spent 5 days here.
because of the meandering property, you need a car to explore if you’re trying to see as much of it as possible in a single day.

The stone cottage was just gorgeous! You felt like you went back in time! The view and surroundings were just stunning! There is a fabulous pool and they have a chef that will cook you a 5 star incredibly delicious meal! We waited for the cattle to come down the road when we were heading to our cottage with their babies following along behind and Tripod, the three legged goat hangs out with you at the homestead while you have a sunset beer. We had to leave very early in the morning but the owners met us at 5am and made coffees for our road trip. Can't recommend this place enough!
Everything was amazing!

This is a mini homestead tucked away in some low wooded hills. It’s a lovely place, with cabins and tents and a central building for meals. The buildings and tents are pretty basic, but the atmosphere is great due to the nature and farm animals and the nice family that runs the place. They’ve teamed up with David Ireland, who will give you a fine nature and survival tour if you like. The meals are tasty.
It was all good.

Great stay away from the busy town of Alice Springs. Waking up in the bush is always lovely! Very attentive to our needs, good home cooking and a welcome ‘rest’ for four days during a long road trip

Great Breakfast - amazing ambiance and scenery

location as described
no communication, limited firewood (lasted a few
hours), no staff around to ask for me/help, staff on
phone didn’t really seem to have any idea what she
was doing (forgot to take our food order so by the time i found
her to ask 1 out of the 2 dishes available were sold
out), bathroom shampoo /conditioner etc not fresh
(last person just used half the little containers and
those were left there) the list goes on

An amazing place. Very well run, with amazing surrounds.
Swimming pool was nearly finished when we were there. Once finished, should be amazing!!!

Although it was July it was reasonably warm inside the canvas tent. It was quite a way from town but you got to experience the quiet of the outback. Overall it was charming, a different kind of experience.
More wood for fires. We arrived at dusk and couldn’t collect wood in the dark for the first night. It would have been nice to be properly welcomed and explained how everything worked. The welcome was a bit off hand.

It was the most amazing location , with everything that makes the Australian outback wonderful, the peace, the amazing wildlife , the extraordinary landscape. But Nikki made you feel like she had welcomed you into her home as a dear friend with her amazing hospitality , warmth and great cooking which was matched by the incredible views from everywhere.

Great location. The owner and staff are very friendly and great hosts.
The food was way below average, rare steak and undercooked potatoes. they did give us free desert to make up for the inedible dinner, definitely not worth the money. limited options on the menu. The tents have mice which they did tell us was an issue at the property. Would have been great if it wasn’t for the nice in our tent.
The timber cabin was great, would book again.
