About this house rental
Just up the mountain from Aserri toward Tarbaca is the mountain home. It is very near the famous restaurant Ram Luna. The house is actually just above the restaurant. The house is 450 meters squared or 4,800 squre feet. It sits on .65 hectare or 1.6 acres. This is a luxury home in a quiet neighborhood with the best view of the San Jose' Valley. 24/7 on site security, maid and cook available. There is a $250 administrative fee that is to pick your group up at the airport and bring you to the house. It also includes taking you back to the airport when you depart. The property can be difficult to find the first time up the mountain. We strongly suggest using this professional van service that we send. We can remove this fee if you want to go it on your own and risk getting lost. Maybe you have been before and know where it is. But contact us to discuss this fee and the possibility to remove it.

This is a stunning house overlooking San Jose. The view at night of the lights of San Jose was amazing. Up in the mountain the stars were so bright. . There is a powerful telescope set up that we enjoyed looking into San Jose. Lance is the perfect host. From Fort Worth he arranged for a friend of his to pick us up at the airport and guide us to his house - and this was on Christmas day. When we got to the house Carlos gave us a tour showing us the amenities and talking to us about Costa Rica. The house is huge, new and has an awesome master bedroom, bath and kitchen. There were enough bedrooms that each of our three kids got their own room and each room had a private bathroom. The grounds are landscaped and beautiful. Gifts of wine and coffee were in the gourmet kitchen. Costa Rica coffee is so good, but the best coffee was from the beans grown and roasted by friends of the Carlos and Lance. During the week Carlos arranged for friends to pick us up and take us to the Ram Luna - a restaurant about a mile away that offered copious amounts of local food that was absolutely delicious. The grounds are gated and maintained by a local family that live in a building on the grounds. Jose and his wife were pleasant and helpful and for a ridiculously small fee would provide cleaning service. Living in the mountains for a week was such a good experience for our family rather than staying on the coast with its United States hotels and neighborhoods. I highly recommend this house and the hospitality of Lance, Carlos and Jose!

Beautiful mountain home, magnificent view.
My wife and I stayed for a couple of weeks. Beautiful mountain home, great amenities in a country setting, and a magnificent view of San Jose and the Central Valley. We highly recommend it for your visit to Costa Rica. Not far from the city, with access to other parts of the country. The owner was very attentive to all our needs.
