We booked this cottage for a place to stay before the Mackinac Bridge walk. It was just what we needed for me, my husband and our adult son.

Absolutely beautiful lake. Clean cozy cottage. Be aware that you will share the outdoor space, firepit, kayaks, etc with whoever rents the other cottage. We had a large family take over the outdoor space, so it was awkward and uncomfortable. We were away most days seeing the sights and it felt like we were intruding when we returned each afternoon

Stay was nice but the lake was the gem. Cabin was not cleaned in advance of our stay. All other descriptions of property was accurate.

While vacationing, we prefer to stay off the grid from the attractions, but like to be close enough to have quick access. We loved this cabin! It was clean and cozy with a beautiful view. We looked forward to arriving back to the cabin nightly following our adventures to cook dinner in the grill, relax lakeside and enjoy the view. If we visit the area again, we’ll definitely book here.

Cute and cozy with a fabulous view of Carp Lake!

Myself, my husband and our two children stayed.
The accommodations were very good, clean and comfortable. There's a large, flat, green space for playing cornhole, bocce ball, ect. Tall, mature trees offer shade. It was everything I'd expect from a Northern Michigan lake cabin. It's close to the Mackinaw Island Ferries and the much bigger Lake Michigan. There's lots to do on this inland lake- canoeing, kayaking, fishing, boating, jet skiing...
I gave it 4 stars because the yard and lake/dock area is shared with a neighboring cabin, which I was aware of, but I wasn't expecting to be in the middle of a family reunion. There a rule against large gatherings, but I guess it depends on your definition of "large".
The owner was very responsive to emails and texts.

Great place to stay
The cottage was super cute and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the views were wonderful of the lake. We really enjoyed getting in the water, sitting on the dock, roasting marshmallows around the campfire with our neighbors. The restaurant a mile or so away was wonderful as well as the store across the road. This was a really neat place to stay!

Cozy
The cottage was immaculate and just as the pictures show. Everything was in good condition. There was a good place to eat and a small store within a mile or so which was wonderful. Our neighbors were very friendly and we had a nice time getting to know them.

Nice and close to mackinac island
We had to sleep with the bedroom doors open since the heater is in the front room but other than that, it was a nice cozy little place with everything you need. Sharing the backyard with the renter next door was awkward

The cabin was great. Enough space for 2 families of three. The property was clean and quiet and was perfect for a relaxing long weekend.

Seniors running away from home for a 4 day weekend
We really loved the cabin and property. Pictures a little deceiving how far cabin is from dock. (if your young its okay) Pretty clean but needs a few cobwebs removed. (Bathroom light over sink and fans in bedroom). Back patio is best for sitting out at night and having dinner. We do recommend this vacation rental.

Sewage backup first night
Cottage was cute and initially clean. Sewage backed up and was coming out of toilet and shower. Drain field problems. Didn’t get to spend 1 night in cabin. Owners did refund money. Had to stay in hotel entire weekend a lot more expensive. Second cottage shares yard only 1 fire pit. Shared kayaks.

Relaxing
Cabin was cozy with a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed coffee on the deck every morning. We enjoyed the kayaks and sitting by the water. Cabin was close enough to everything but far enough to get away from the hustle of the city.

Vacation in Paradise!
The cabin is wonderful. It has everything you need, all the comforts of home. The view is amazing!!! Enjoyed cooking out on the deck and relaxing taking the view all in. We’ve already decided to come back next year! It’s close to Mackinaw City, and a cute little quilt shop that is fully stocked with many bolts of the prettiest colors and patterns of fabric. Huge plus. We had one tiny incident with water that was taken care of immediately, so no problems whatsoever. The owners were very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Clean, well appointed, gorgeous view!
Our family of 5 throughly enjoyed the Brown Log Cottage. When we arrived, cabin and ground were super clean and well kept. We loved the fire pit area by the beach and had fires each night while out kids kayaked around close to shore. We also utilized the charcoal grill two nights to cook dinner (nice break from eating out). The yard was huge and perfect for our boys to kick a soccer ball around. Cabin is less than 10 minutes from the Macinac Island ferry and Macinaw City. So much to do and explore in this area. Would highly recommend this cabin!

Paradise
The brown log cabin was exactly as stated in the listing, a little slice of paradise on Paradise Lake. We had beautiful weather, spent lots of time playing in the lake, sitting by the campfire and just relaxing. This place is perfect for that! The cabin was perfect, rustic but with just enough of modern conveniences to make our party of 5 perfectly comfortable! And our dog really enjoyed herself in the lake, jumping from the dock and was truly exhausted well before sundown every day. If you’re looking for a great family place to relax and forget the real world...don’t pass this one up!
