Beautiful! Great views and great accommodations.

My four kids, parents, partner and I stayed here for a weekend. It feels remote and private and has an incredible view. However it’s such a short drive to Valle Crucis, Boone and grandfather mountain. The hot tub was super clean and the beds were very comfy. Nice large kitchen too!

We stayed here for a week in the spring to visit Appalachian State and the Boone area. To anyone considering staying here my advice to to carefully review all the fees before you book. That being said - this is a beautiful cabin and it has everything you might need for a stay in the mountains. It’s fairly close to other cabins (so not at all secluded) and there isn’t a lot of open space outside. There were issues with the hot tub when we first arrived. The tub had not been cleaned prior to our arrival so the filters were clogged and the whole thing had to be drained and refilled. They charge a cleaning fee for the hot tub as part of the regular fees but it’s clear that it had not been cleaned after the last occupants. Nevertheless Carolina cabins was very responsive and took care of this. There were a few broken outdoor chairs and the master bed needed to be repaired and the master tub was dusty and dirty. Other than that we really had no complaints. Whomever decorated the home did a beautiful job. Boone and the surrounding are wonderful. You will enjoy your stay.

My family and old dog enjoyed the cabin very much. The best part of our vacation was a family ping pong tournament downstairs. The cabin was exactly as advertised. It would have been great if the next cabin was further away but the view was amazing and the property had everything I needed. Would definitely stay again.

The beginning of our trip was good. Heating in the house was ok. Some rooms stayed chilly (master bedroom/bath), some very warm (basement bedroom) However, during the snow storm we woke up to no water midway through our stay. Had to finish the trip at the Marriott in Boone. Due to snow needed a tow truck to pull us up the driveway. Would not recommend this house in winter months, but other seasons I am sure are beautiful. Location and neighborhood are beautiful, but very, very difficult in winter conditions.

Very nice “cabin”. Enjoyed the view. There for a wedding so not much free time. Clean and spacious. Jacuzzi hadn’t been used much apparently - some kind of dead bugs came shooting out from spouts. Not pleasant!

Great space for our family, loved the location, and had a wonderful stay! We had plenty of room for our family of 4 (including two teenagers). We were doing a college visit for our oldest, and this home was a great home base. Loved the view and all the amenities!

Beautiful and great location
I stayed at the cabin for a week with family including a 6 year old. The cabin was big enough for us and the location was awesome. The views from the cabin were spectacular and to my surprise there were games for my kid. In overall it was an awesome experience. I would recommend it. We had a rainy day and there were things to do…we play pool, even thought it was rainy we still went into the jacuzzi. There was plenty of stuff to keep us busy. This cabin is one of the best places I stayed and they supply you with everything…love the place…will definitely return in the near future

Quiet, Convenient, Clean
We were really pleased with this property! It was very quiet and private, had amazing views from the deck and living room/kitchen area, and felt remote while still being very convenient to Valle Crucis, Banner Elk and Boone.
I was super impressed by the cleanliness of the property. I didn’t even find any dust! One thing I would note is that I wished we’d had some cleaning products to clean up after ourselves, so I recommend bringing some if that is important to you.
The house was extremely quiet from room to room, allowing for a family to stay there and still enjoy some privacy. It is so well built that we could forget there was a windstorm going on outside and stay cozy inside!
Highly recommend!

Comfortable, clean, beautiful house.
We picked this location to meet up with family and take our kids to tweetsie railroad and see other local attractions. This cabin was an excellent location. It was clean, comfortable and kid friendly. We enjoyed the porch mountain views and had an excellent time.

Great cottage!
We stayed here for 5 nights and were impressed with everything in general. Great location, very well thought out cottage with respect to amenities and comfy furniture. Made you feel like you were at home. We got a lot of use out of the pool table but only wished it were in a bigger room as many angles had to be taken with a miniature cue because the walls are too tight. That aside, the cottage was great and we would return again!

Perfect Graduation Getaway!
Bear Valley cabin was gorgeous and just as described. It was perfect for friends and family; bedrooms on all three levels and large living areas made for plenty of space for everyone. Working with Carolina Cabin Rentals made everything smooth and easy. Would definitely book again!

The cabin was very nice and very spacious. The upstairs shower did not drain well, but everything else was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

The cabin looks exactly like the pictures posted online. It is a beautiful mountain cabin with beautiful views overlooking the Valley below. It comes complete with outdoor hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, outdoor firepit, very comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen and rustic decor. However, if you rent in the winter months make sure you bring tire chains, sand and shovels because the private road up to the cabin is a steep gravel incline and the driveway down to the cabin is a steep gravel driveway down and by their policy the rental company will give you no help if you get stuck. Also the basement is extremely cold so make sure to look for the supplied space heater in the closet. It will warm it up in no time. Also if you intend to use the hot tub make sure to check the temperature of the water when you first arrive. On our visit it was set to 69 and took 6 hours to warm up to 95. Just some tips to help you enjoy this beautiful property to its fullest.

Exactly what we wanted!
Of all the cabins we stayed at, this was an A+ as well as 5 stars! The place felt comfy and cozy the moment I walked in. Kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil needed to prepare any meal, any way! This is very important for 2 of us chefs! Scenery was gorgeous. It snowed 6 inches and made the stay more enjoyable. We will definitely be booking here again!

Great stay for families!
Wonderful house for those traveling with your family! Very spacious as each floor has bedroom and bathroom. Lower level stayed cold as mentioned in previous reviews, however, there was a heater in the bedroom which helped a little bit. The basement did have a strange sulphur smell but we didn’t spend too much time down there. The house was fully equipped with everything you need including the kitchen! Rental property was very responsive and overall had a great experience.

Adorable cabin, great internet
We loved our stay at this cabin! Pros: clean, well decorated country charm, comfy beds, beautiful view, 400mb internet, located at the end of the road so no cars driving by. Cons: uncomfortable couch, broken armchair, lower level stayed very cold the entire time.

Loved!
This cabin is beautifully placed on a side of a mountain with an amazing view. There was not one thing we did not love. The whole place was gorgeous! They had a lot of activities to keep us busy like pool and ping pong. We will definitely be coming back! I'm so glad we booked this place for our honeymoon ❤️

A wonderful place to stay!!
From the beginning, communication was excellent, check in instructions or well detailed and outlined and the cabin was wonderful! A beautiful secluded location close to so many wonderful activities. There were a couple minor issues that were reported to management and they were addressed the same day in a very professional and courteous way. I have nothing negative to say at all about the cabin or the experience. I will certainly be renting again!

Mostly a great stay, with some hiccups
Overall, it was a lovely cabin, well equipped, great customer service and beautiful views. We had a few hiccups though. The biggest was one of the beds broke the first night so my husband and I spend the vacation on a mattress on the floor. (They offered to fix it right away, but because of COVID, we didn't want anyone in the cabin.) The queen size beds upstairs just don't have adequate supports — no slats, just small cleats holding a heavy mattress in place. The mattresses were very comfortable, though, for what it's worth. We still slept great, but it was frustrating to have to sleep on the floor. Second, there was a terrible smell downstairs. Again, they offered to fix it and even showed us how when we wouldn't let them come in. By the time we left it was gone, but it would have been nice to have that problem taken care of ahead of time. Also downstairs, you hear every bump and step on the main floor, so that's a bedroom best used for whoever isn't going to be sleeping in. Lastly, the ice machine didn't work.
That all sounds bad, but it was still one of the nicer cabins I've ever stayed in. The hot tub was perfect, the kitchen had everything we needed, it was plenty roomy and easy to maintain privacy between families. We will likely come back.

5 Stars - Peaceful
Cabin was well appointed. The only thing the kitchen lacked was a veggie peeler, large knife and a second large serving bowl. Views from the covered deck were amazing. There are only three cabins up on this hill and they are situated to be relatively private where you would want the privacy (hot tub and side deck). The cabin is centrally located to just about everything, 15-30 minutes. Planning on booking again!

Birthday Mountain Getaway
The only negative part of this experience was having to leave the bliss of that cabin, that view and that magical mountain air and return home. The cabin was impeccable and had everything our family needed to share time together and find pockets of quiet solitude. My experience with the Property Management company was wonderful as well. Communication was timely and upon arrival there was an issue with wifi that was quickly solved with one phone call. I will be back as soon as possible. I have a script to write and that cabin just might be the setting that I need to get it done. THANK YOU!

We had a great time. The only thing I would suggest is that the kitchen needs more appliances. Ex: mixer, blender, medium to big pots. Thank you:)
