We had a great time staying here! It is a fun rustic cabin with some animals that come right up to the deck to visit!

The kids absolutely loved staying at the ranch and seeing all the animals. Walter stopped by our cabin multiple times a day and the kids always talked to him. Cant wait to come back with the baby when he is a little older and can enjoy and play with the animals like his older siblings

The cabin was nice, what we expected, and the surrounding grounds were fantastic. We loved sharing the grounds with the animals, and that made our stay. Our grandkids came up and met Walter, and Captain, as well as the horses and pigs, ducks, and kitties. We brought our Pontoon for the lake, and our pups, and other than missing our AC from home, we had a perfect time! The Couple who handle check in and live on the property are two of the nicest people I have ever met. Thanks for having us!

I am so glad the first place we tried to book did not allow pets and found this place instead. Our cat had a great time too, hissing at the other cats they have, lol. It’s fun to see other animals too, it’s like a mini zoo to me. Urban Saddle is conveniently located from the places we went to visit. We went to see the Suspension Bridge, Balanced Rock and Rainbow Falls at Trough Creek State Park and some trail hike up the Thousand Steps Trail. We loved our stay there. Thank you Urban Saddle!

There were bugs everywhere.
I was over charged. The fees were more than the price of the cabin. When we got to the cabin, it was full of stink bugs. They were everywhere. I killed a spider that had a 3 1/2 inch legspan. My niece had a panic attack because of the bugs. There is no ac and it was hot and humid. There were zero towels. After a long 5 1/2 drive we all had to make our own beds when we arrived. That was fun. You could sit on the chairs outside because the chairs were filthy and covered in bird poop. The inside was clean but all the other things made it a place I will never stay again.

Weekend at the lake
Urbana Saddle Ranch cabins are wonderful everything as advertised as far as the cabin it’s self, It was clean for the location a few bugs but we expected them, the beds were comfortable enough. With no AC ceiling fans in bedrooms would be a plus, they offer floor fans which kinda help but are loud. The kitchen had everything we needed and it all worked. The outside fire pit and picnic tables were nice and sturdy. I would not say they are comfortable. I recommend bringing your own chairs. The animals are close and my children enjoyed feeding them. Now the description for Urban Saddle Ranch did not mention the driveway that it was down a steep rough dirt road. If I would have known this we would not have booked this location with pulling a large boat. When I arrived I was meet not greeted nicely as you would have thought, I was met by a man named “Bob” ! Lets says he was not the hospitable host I was expecting. He was rude when I asked for his name after I had introduced myself and that I had reservations. He said slow down there well get to that in a minute and he proceeds to spout off numbers to me. I had to say excuse me what are you talking about, well he was giving me our cabin door lock numbers. My kids just kept looking at me wondering what this man issue was why he was being rude. Once we located the cabin, oh and the driveway to cabins are all very tight dirt roads . We could not park close to cabin to unload, Their are strict parking rules. That if you are caught breaking Bob will call you out for. Also your boats are not permitted next to your cabin, you must park your boat at the top of the hill with everyone else’s boat. My husband was not happy about leaving his boat so far away and the other guest we spoke to was not happy about that either. Oh and be sure to bring cash because Urbana Saddle Ranch does not except PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or Apple Pay, they will reminded that you must pay cash to park your boat per day. Also a side note Urbana Saddle Ranch charges for your trash daily. Lastly if you have Verizon or Sprint cell service you will not have good service at this location. VRBO needs to include all this information on the advertisement for Urbana Saddle Ranch. I did know this information about the extra charges because I went directly to Urbana Saddle Ranch website VRBO does not mention them.
When my husband arrived at Urbana Saddle Ranch he was greeted by Monique, she’s very welcoming. I’d speak with her only.

Excellent again
We did another girls weekend escape. Due to unforeseen circumstances only 3 of us were able to make the trip. I stayed here 6 months ago, it felt as if I were coming back to visit family. Monique and Bob are the most welcoming people I've met in a long time. I am planning more get away trips will definitely be staying at Urban Saddle Ranch for them. Always peaceful, quiet, and most importantly relaxing atmosphere. I will be returning.

Spring break vacation
The property was not well cleaned. There was a lot of dust behind and under furniture and bed and my son found gum wrappers and stuff under his bed. I did ask vrbo if the cleanliness issue was addressed prior to my stay and I was told yes. It was pretty much similar to the previous reviews written on cleanliness. So I think vrbo should inspect property themselves.
The owners are very nice but the property description needs to be updated, the appliances like oven, outdoor grill needs a update and the utensils like knives are not sharp at all and it is difficult to cut items without a struggle. The grill was rusted and falling apart. It was hard to cook items p RF properly. I did love feeding the horses . The property description should include bringing food for horses to feed them.

Reset from the busy life
We had a great time staying! It was quiet and the cabin was clean. I ended up hanging out with the horses for a bit too :) definitely a great place to reset and unwind from city life. Will definitely be coming back!

Wonderful stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Urban Saddle Ranch. Bob and Monique are spectacular hosts and have created an amazing property. They've rebuilt the ranch almost from scratch and made it into a lovely place for families and visitors of all kinds. Our cabin was very comfortable, even in winter. The light was terrific and we enjoyed cooking and relaxing after hiking in the nearby state parks. Monique and Bob were quick to supply extra blankets (you might want to bring some extras for cold weather). And bring any special cooking things you may need. There are basic pots and pans and dishes. We appreciated the pet policy and took advantage of it, and we met other guests who all seemed very happy. We'll return with other families in the future.

Great Spot, Nice People but.....
Cabin is very reasonably priced and pretty convenient for the lake. It was however, filthy. Coffee maker never cleaned from last guest and had Stink Bugs in it. Still half full slushy cup in refrigerator. Roaches in bedroom. Charged a cleaning fee for some reason. Also charged a pet fee after the fact by Evolve when I clearly indicated I had a pet when making reservation and paid in full. They charged my card again 2 days later and with no authorization!!! Could be a nice place because of the location but you shouldn’t expect much if you are looking for a clean place to stay.

Lucas McCain Cabin
In town for a Juniata College/Penn State football doubleheader. It was the perfect place to use as a home base!

Bold face lying by evolve
Evolve did not properly describe the place. They outright lied to us about the air-conditioning (that they had it and that it was being repaired). Also, they did not get back to me as promised.
Will never again go to a property promoted by evolve.
