Such a cozy, cute, convenient place with a lovely owner!

The room was perfect for our needs! We loved Oscar! He was just the loveliest man! So accomodating, so warm, we will be back! Oscar was basically our introduction to Costa Rica - first person we dealt with on our first day, and last person on our last day! Anyway, you cannot go wrong here! The rooms are simple, with a shared kitchen (nice way to meet new people!), and a private bathroom, but it worked perfectly for us! Thank you so much, Oscar! We miss you already!

Nothing. Tico style rooms, so different from North America, but hey, Pura Vida! We loved it!

Práctico para la primera noche.

Lo que más nos gustó fue la hospitalidad del anfitrión, nos recogió a la hora indicada en el aeropuerto y nos llevó a un super a por una tarjeta para el teléfono

Lo que nos nos gustó mucho fue que el agua caliente no funcionaba y mi mujer no pudo lavarse la cabeza por la noche.

Convenient location for the airport. Oscar drove us to the airport in the early morning.

Great value, will stay again.

Very clean, fridge, microwave in a kitchenette down the hall, comfortable bed, no ac but the fan was enough to sleep comfortably, owner was very attentive and provided a ride to the airport nearby for $10 extra.

The stairway leading up to the apartment was narrow for walking up with a suitcase. Suicide shower instead of hot water heater.

Good value for money, close to the airport

A very nice small room close to the airport. The room is enough for 2 people for 1 or 2 nights. There is a small bathroom in the room. Shared kitchen is also avaible. If you are with a car, there ia no place to park in front of the house, but in 200m there is a petrol station where you can leave your car overnight for 4.000 colones.

No parking place on front of the house.

Simple and Straightforward

My fourth time staying here. Nothing fancy. Good value for money. Owners/managers are very responsive.

It is exactly what it seems to be. There is nothing to not like. (If I were being picky, I would love washcloths.)

Great Basic Room

1) The host is gracious and provides shuttle service to/from airport for a fee. 2) There is a shared kitchen space and a grocery right down the street. 3) It is very close to the airport. 4) The room is clean, had plenty of outlets, and a private bathroom.

Very good

The quality of fixtures. Everything - including mattress, sheets, bed cover, kitchen appliances; Freshly repainted floors, walls, trim, front door ... Proximity of vibrant shopping area within 5 blocks up hill. Such a warm and joyful welcome from owner Oscar who is clearly dedicated to providing the best of facilities in each of the five small but very well equipped and cared-for independent rooms and kitchen area still even 5 years since inception!

The traffic noise! I'm sure Oscar would reduce it if he could. These well- equipped, independent rooms are un fortumately situated on a very busy road in downtown Alujella. Heavy duty traffic started at about 3:30 in the morning and continued from then on. So, enjoy the quality of the facilities but bring earplugs! For one night the convenience does does outweigh the noise - at least it did fof me.

Perfect accommodation for the first or last night in Costa Rica

- close to the airport - clean - coffee available and fridge to store breakfast - fan in the room - check in and check out super uncomplicated and easy - Oscar is a very nice host that answers all questions fast

- rooms are missing hangers or space to put things

We ended up arriving earlier then expected and the room wasn't ready, but the hosts were very gracious and the room was ready soon thereafter. The room was simple, with a bed and private bathroom, and very clean. The host drove us to the airport for a small fee. They were also very helpful in directing us to a nearby clinic to get a COVID test.

Very convenient room and lovely host

We had a flight come in late at night and this worked perfectly - we were given a key code to come straight in when we arrived. The host was also so welcoming and helpful explaining everything we needed.

The road was pretty loud so it was difficult to sleep

Close to airport. In the day you can walk to Airport. Beds were good.

Some truble with owner. We chose this accommodation, because it should have airport transport. Even though we said to owner we will arrive late ( 23:30) , when we arrived he wrote us it is to late to pick up us. So we have to buy sim cards, find a taxi, paid 10 dollars to get there ( normal price is twice less). Apartments is just only good to sleep there. It is ugly super noise street, Rooms does not have windows, It is long halway with three or four rooms, you have to be quiet there. Next day we paid to owner with cash and he was really nice ( he speaks only spanish though), but the other things was not. Some cockroach visited us in bathroom:)

Comfy place to stay before or after a flight!!

the owner was super helpful and got us to the airport in the middle of the night for a reasonable price. also the room was super quiet and comfortable. we didn’t stay in San Jose long but I felt like this was a very local neighborhood with lots of food and shopping at night.

nothing! If you don’t speak Spanish/don’t have a SIM card getting inside can be confusing because you need a door code since you don’t have a key yet. but the neighbor was really helpful so it wasn’t a problem at all.

Cheap, clean, comfortable, wonderful host. I really recommend this place

The place is very clean, close to the airport, with a kitchen, so we could prepare the coffee and breakfas there. There are towels and soaps. The host is amazing, very kind and pleasent. We could leave our backpacks there after check out time. It was a pleasure to be there and we would like to chose the same place next time!

Very close to airport, has fridge and microwave and own bathroom. Good value for money, nice clean room and comfy bed. We got a shuttle from the airport they were punctual and kind. We got the code for the door before in message, very easy.

Short and fantastic

The host is tip notch, picked us up from the airport and took us to the spot. Showed us the ins and outs and had two cold beer in the fridge! What more could anyone ask for?!
