Great way to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Beautiful views and most relaxing surroundings, a true way to recharge the soul.
Not much not to like.

it is a hidden gem and one of a kind. private and tranquil
9.0 / 10.0
Quiet, remote, loved the hikes.
Furniture made from local wood was very clever and added to the ambience. Dion and all staff were friendly and unobtrusive
Take some Tupperware to store any food in, there were a lot of ants

Beautiful scenery and so peaceful, with lovely walks from the back door. The outdoor shower was a treat! The road in was a bit rougher than expected so a car with good clearance was useful but no 4x4 necessary.
8.0 / 10.0
Luxury living very close to nature, small game in the kloof. The self catering facilities are gas and 12V DC, venue not affected by load shedding.
The accommodation is better suited to visitors who does not want to travel in and out visiting other places due to travelling through a number of farms and opening and closing 6 gates.

If you want to feel safe and free... this is the place to be! It was amazing! Super relaxing and just what we needed!

The location is very remote, but totally worth the drive on the dirt roads. A SUV type vehicle would be best to reach this destination

A jewel on our doorstep this wonderful tented camp was just what we were after! We are already planning our next visit with our extended family. Thanks Deon for your super efforts and awesome hospitality to enable us to enjoy such a special family moment together.
Nothing - just perfect 👏

If you really just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the "rat race" Kleinriver is the ideal place. Limited cellphone reception and that makes it that you can relax completely.
There's really nothing we didn't like.
It's a bit of a struggle to get there with a car with a low ground clearance, but taking it slowly do the thing.

The location was scenic. It was in a peaceful mountainous area that gave us a well deserved break from the city life
The main cottage we stayed at didn't have any working plugs which made charging a bit complicated. The property manager tried his best to accommodate us in this regard but it would have made a world of difference to have one plug. The fridge also wasn't the most powerful, to an extent that most of the food was off by the end of the weekend
9.0 / 10.0
Complete isolation from the busy world and civilization.
No network service which gave us what we wanted to "long off" from the busy world and escape, as the name says itself, Kleinriver Mountain Escape.
1.Gas operated Shower - maybe the installation can be altered to solar power rather than just gas as its challenging to get the right heat and water pressure for 2 day stays.
2. No power sockets to charge mobile devices i.e. camera, power banks, mobile phone, etc.
3. Micro wave to reheat food, however not a deal breaker as we were able to use the gas stove to reheat.

Accurate pictures, clean, secluded, comfy, beautiful landscape.

Self catering - Its close enough to a city. So no need to drive far but yet you are in the bush
More cooking untensils. More knives - bread knife, chopping knife, a standing fridge would be better

Cleanliness, location, well managed

Accommodation is great. Clean and everything you need are there. Take your food, clothing and you sorted. Very nice hiking trails.
Bigger braai grid is needed.

the location being surround by the bush! we had a little running stream in front of our cabin.
inside shower was a little problem - but we opted for the shower outside in the end

Beautiful surroundings, kitchen was very well equipped, everything you needed was available.
Bed was little uncomfortable, that was all
10.0 / 10.0
it is absolutely hidden and really felt like we could break away and rest
we cant fault anything, if we have to give criticism it was opening and closing all the gates but it made the trip more memorable.

The cabin was just want we needed. Peaceful surrounding and plenty to observe in the form of wild life
Better description of the last 5 km of road. The first 22 is great and the last 5 is more challenging.

The self-catering unit was completely equipped. Nothing was missing. The unit was nicely furnished - it was easy to feel home away from home.
The area provides ample hiking opportunities!
The trees and bushes around the roof need to be cut. The wind was blowing branches against the roof which made a uncomfortable, unnecessary noise. We told the manager he is going to fix it.

the location was awesome and the accommodation was nicely situated
in general everything was clean and comfortable
There was not proper facilities to charge our cellphones (no USB or 2 point plugs for chargers, specially for Iphone 11 and up...was difficult to manage location
There was also not clear information of how many pools were on the sight and if any
There was not ice available and the fridge is extremely small
The pressure of the water was not strong in the shower
Would recommend to take headlights or extra light with
Not recommendable to go by car specially in raining conditions

The place was absolutely beautiful, staff were super friendly and helpful and went out of their way to help us, it was well equipped and had the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on. Also amazing hiking and swimming spots a few minutes walk from the cabin.
Most incredible trip and can't wait to visit again.
Everything was wonderful, no bad points.
