comfortable and clean room. very close to the markets.
the first floor lobby is nice very nice, but once you go upstairs, everything was good.

The staff at front desk friendly and they had fresh filtered water available that’s about it
The pictures on booking.com are not reality! The facility is old and paid way too much for what we got. Internet did not work ever shower was horrible. Everything was old and dirty. All the furniture in the room that was wood was all scratched up old and falling apart. Chair sitting material filthy! Who wants to sit on that!! I think because this was a festival it was more expensive but in all reality I would pay $40 a night for this room, and I would never ever stay here again! The shower water smelled like sewer I have pictures to see what you’re really getting. I cannot submit a video but my shower never drained at one point, literally you were standing in a pool of water when you showered. Their cable, TV and Internet they didn’t pay for so at one point you’ll see my photo that there was some thing telling us that services are out. Room walls cracking and old with lots of dust on baseboards. Furniture is all falling apart That’s outside and tables were filthy and sticky and we were there for a few days housekeeping never cleaned anything on the outside patio. horrible maintenance especially for all the money that they’re getting!

the only thing we liked was the location and the front desk staff were very nice, polite, helpful, and friendly.
I was expecting two private bedroom and we got a one small bedroom with two twin beds and an open room with no privacy. ohhhh and on the 3rd floor and no elevators. So having the mother-in-law with us was not ideal in this setup. if you do book this place, don't use the tour company they use because they are a rip-off. There prices are double from anywhere else. now mind you this is like a zero to a one hotel rating. So we booked our first tour to Hieve el agua for $450 pesos. As we walked into to el zocalo and everywhere else, the same tickets were $250. Plus they don't tell you that you have to pay 3 different entrance fees. They got us the first time and never again did we book any of our tours with them.
OMG the noise level was horrible. the street vendors were out 24/7 and the music was loud. I am a very heavy sleeper and I had lots of trouble sleeping. The hotel was two blocks away from el Zocalo and even at the Zocalo it was quieter.
As we walked in, I really wanted to cancel and look for another hotel. This is not the type of place I am accustomed to stay. Lesson Learned.

The location was great. Staff was friendly. We were able to get our laundry done on site. It was nice to have outdoor spaces to sit. We decided to stay 2 extra days.
Hot water was iffy. A/C was a bit noisy (but worked well).

Location
broken fixtures, no hot water in the morning, unfriendly staff ( the clerk was always absorbed with his phone) , don’t!!!

price location quiet street market view
wifi not good in room ok elsewhere

The location was perfect for us. Restaurats, markets, attractions etc. were close you could walk to those places.
For my husband and me it was great.

Availability of bottled drinking water
Per the front desk you had to let water run for at least 10 minutes to get hot water. We had to wait 18 minutes. No safe in room. All rooms looked onto ugly courtyard with very few old, dirty chairs to sit in.
3.8
Location 2 blocks from main square and market complex at next block.
Rooms on 1st or 2nd floor arranged around an inside square open to the sky. Good basic accomodation. Wifi worked in our room.
Cold water in shower. Was told later that you have to let the water run 10-15 mins.
Sink drain was blocked. But was fixed promptly. I was told I would get an upgraded room, I didn't. No seating area in room.
Coffee maker leaked water but was not replaced even though wet towel was around machine. No milk or creamer supplied.
Pillows uncomfortable and bed hard.

the location and staff.
the bed was not comfortable at all.
3.8
Very friendly and accommodating staff! central location within walking distance to everything. I felt very safe the entire time. Water fountains on every floor was a nice touch.
I asked for more towels and only two were left in the room when it was cleaned.
3.8
the room was incredibly big.
the beds comfy.
the staff friendly.
just that the next morning they couldnt rebook the same room for the same price.
3.8
Nothing. Terrible place.
Bad hotel. Water leaks in the bathroom. Extremely noisy place. Holey and old towels. Items of clothing went missing after room service.
3.8
The room was very clean and the workers were super friendly and welcoming. We asked them to extend our stay 1 night and they took care of changing our stuff from 1 to another room. There was a water dispenser for free and many food options around. The hotel also had tours organized to Monte Albán and other activities.
There was a construction in front so it was quite loud but not the hotels fault.

The room was not too bad but the sheets were stained and there were no towels at all. The toilet was leaking. I had to buy my own towels to take a shower. The parking lot is about five blocks away ,
The attendant was on the phone all the time and the toilet was leaking .
He told me that was gonna check the toilet and never did.

nothing
it was dirty

The location is perfect. About a block away from the main square and east to walk everywhere.
The aircon works very well and there is water provided.
The room is very clean - the cleaners come every day and do a great job.
It is incredibly loud. You can hear everything that is happening on the street, in the adjacent rooms and in the corridor. It was much worse on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The bed is large but VERY firm. I mean really firm. If you struggle to sleep on hard beds this is not the place for you.
The Wifi doesn’t work in rooms, you have to sit in reception. And even then it doesn’t work very well - it took 2+ minutes just to load a google search.
Limited power points.
The bathroom has a dank smell but is a decent size.
Description says it includes a safe, sitting area and a hairdryer in the bathroom, none of these were included.
There is also no phone in the room.
It also says there laundry service available on request, but when we asked we were directed to a laundromat down the street that doesn’t wash socks or underwear.
