Immer wieder gerne
Frühstück vom Preis her zu teuer
4.2

Quiet location, fabulous hotel, great breakfast, friendly welcoming staff, and a wonderful spa.
We liked everything about the place really , but we would have liked more choice for evening meals.
4.2

kitchen undergoing renovation so only bar menu available
couldn't get air con to work so I boiled for 3 days, even though I asked for it to be fixed...and every time the staff came in e.g. to clean or turn down bed, they closed the wide open windows, even though it was the top floor!!
electricity unfathomable, struggled to get sockets to work, no instructions provided
when I moved a piece of furniture to access a socket, I found a dried up piece if fruit, and even though I told the front if house staff, it was still there later!
overall, a very expensive hotel and not a good experience at all

The staff was friendly and very helpful in trying to accommodate us.
Breakfast was fine. The room was warm and they could not adjust the AC to make it cooler, so we had to request a fan. Not enough electrical outlets to charge electronics. The restaurant closed for renovations. Expected a lot more from the hotel!

gorgeous hotel with incredible staff and amazing breakfast! the decor is carefully selected and you can really see Hellman’s fashion genius in everything. The PH bar and the spa are to die for!
on Friday nights they have a lounge singer in the bar and she was AMAZING!! her and her accompanying pianist just killed it!
they are slowly renovating the property…it’s quite old and we stayed in an older room on the very top floor. you could see the age in it, but still charming. sadly the AC didn’t work in the bathroom area and the lights had to all be on at the same time and it made it very HOT. the bedroom could be closed off and was nice and cool so it didn’t disrupt sleep.
also, nothing is free there so be prepared to pay for anything they offer you. TBH, it’s a total luxury hotel so just indulge yourself if you want the extra $.

The interior design is amazing as well as the breakfast.
Staff was arrogant, both in the bar and reception. We got really surprise for the status of the hotel to be treated this manner with unprofessional jokes like "sweet 16 suite, no one can hear you there" and at the bar "we don't sell sweet wine" when I mentioned that preferred wine that were not sweet, yet Port or dessert wine could be well good quality and sweet. I felt that treatment wasn't professional enough for the standard of the hotel.

pool (although it was dirty)
long way from city, nothing around. poor restaurant; no room amenities - coffee/tea, minibar and €10 to bring anything to the room so €22 for morning coffee or bottle of tonic water.; well decorated but very basic room facilities.
4.2
Lovely location. Beautiful, clean, and well-maintained facility. Great staff, they exceeded expectations! Room service was quick, and drinks from the minibar were complementary (1 beer + juices + water). The room was quiet (no noises). They also provided bowls for my dog. Breakfast was good quality-wise, however, adding more options would have been even better.
Being a 5-star hotel, I would have expected at least to find a kettle or a coffee machine in the room as well as better welcome snacks - there was literally only one canned pickle as a welcome snack + water. The amenities were missing a few items - toothbrushes and hair conditioner. The heaters were off when I checked in, which left the room very cold. Again, being a 5-star hotel, these are details that do make the difference and should be given attention to. Finally, the spa area was nice, but there was no option to swim separately from kids (there is only one small pool for all the guests) which made the experience not as pleasant and relaxing.

This is 5 stars as it should be. You really do feel to the Manor born in every way. A very warm welcome, perfect rooms, with a fine attention to detail and a really super breakfast in a beautiful dining room.
Minor, minor points: Booking.com should make it clear that the free minibar is soft drinks only. Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room would enhance the experience.

very beautiful location and interior design , it looks like you are back in 18 century.

the ambience
the temperature in the room is too high.

its ambience, the location, the service
parking is a bit limited. The mood of some staff in the breakfastroom was rather severe.

The staff we actually saw were mostly excellent.
The rooms are nicely furnished.
This hotel is seriously under-staffed and the service is nowhere near what I would expect for a 5* hotel:
- there is no doorperson, so unless a member of staff happens to see you at the right time you are left to pull your suitcases up the steps on arrival
- there are no bar staff in the day time, and no one comes to you if you sit outside or in any of the lounges, so if you want to order a coffee or a drink you have to walk around the hotel trying to find someone. At one point we ordered a coffee and after 15 minutes of waiting saw the staff member doing another job elsewhere, so had to find someone else
- we wanted to book massages but there are no staff in the spa and not even a spa reception. We went down to the spa three times looking for staff and eventually gave up
- the hotel does not serve lunch. Guests were having to sit in the lounge with takeaway pizza boxes. This was seriously inconvenient
- the room service menu is very limited and only served 12pm-10pm
- there is no coffee machine in the room, which was the strangest and most inconvenient omission of all. Even instant coffee and mugs/a kettle would have been better than nothing. And, as above no morning room service.
- the room was swelteringly hot, and nobody fixed it in the four days we were there despite numerous complaints. We asked someone to check the aircon as it didn’t seem to be making any difference, or failing that bring a fan to the room. When we came back to the room later that day it seemed as though no one had done anything at all- the air con hadn’t changed and there was no fan. After a further phone call we were brought a fan, but it didn’t make much difference. The bathroom had three boiling hot mini radiators behind the toilet. It was so hot and uncomfortable that we couldn’t sleep, and despite mentioning again nothing was done
If this were a 3* at half the price I would say it was good. But at £400pn the service was far below any other 5* hotel I have stayed in.
4.2
Unfortunately the service situation deteriorated significantly compared to our previous stays. We had multiple problems that could not have been resolved:
- we were advised that a room service club sandwich order will take 2h
- TV was not working and could not be repaired
- reception staff was simply absent when we needed help and we were advised to wait until the person is back from the lunch break
We asked to speak to a manager to voice our disappointment only to be told that the person would be available the next day and the next day we were told that the manager has a day off.
