Clean, breakfast was lovely, bar downstairs classy and vibrant.
nothing.

Great location

Perfect
Twin room very small and ‘tight’
Bottles of water would have been very welcome in the room

Hotel was pleasant enough, location was great, just in the middle of Douglas promenade, bus stop across the street, sea view
As most hotels on the island the hotel remembers its better times, bar that looks very decent eventually appears not serving cocktails, you go down for breakfast hoping for sea view or some view and unfortunately it’s the view to hidden/stashed sun umbrellas in the corners of stairs.

Room well presented
4.1
Location, hotel bar and sea view
Breakfast area was very small and options were limited

Breakfast was very good, good choice and well cooked food. Staff very pleasant. Room very clean and freshly decorated. Food in piano bar very good standard, bar staff very helpful and pleasant. Enjoyed the piano man.
Good location, our room did not have a sea view but enjoyed sitting in the breakfast room and piano room both overlooking the promenade.
It would have helped to have someone dedicated to taking room number alongside tea / coffee selection on entrance to the breakfast room.

Fantastic breakfast buffet. Sea front location easy walk to town. Bus stop in front of hotel. Regular bus every 20 minutes.
Nothing.

Great location and views
One small lift for the amount of people staying

Very average hotel. Receptionist was good in identifying that we had been put in a noisy room. We were then moved.
Poor stock of coffee in room. Room was dated. Breakfast was very average and not remarkable. To be honest i have been to better hotels with a lower star rating.

Coming off the ferry the place was easy to find. The bath tub, despite being quite small. It had grab bars and that was helpful. Tea making facilities. The breakfast was quite good!
It was a nightmare using a wheelchair and getting into the property. After the two amazing automatic entry doors I was faced with two more manual doors both opening in different directions and a steep slope to negotiate, along with a suitcase it was a monmouth task. Got to the reception desk and even tho the person was standing right there I still had to get their attention. The lift was so small both the wheelchair and suitcase could barely fit. Next on opening the room door the wheelchair couldn't get in. I did request a single room based on the price and being on my own.... of course, but it was tiny and at the back of the property. The bed was so lopsided I kept feeling like I was never positioned right in the bed. The toilet paper to me was so in the wrong place I think it would be better with free standing holders. I also think the two manual doors should be swing doors that open both ways so you don't have to fall out the chair trying to pull the handle.

The staff were excellent and always greeted us with a smile and a 'can do' attitude, always happy to help with a request or guidance. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The room had the usual elements you would expect such as good wardrobe space, TV and tea and coffee making facilities, and although towards the back of the hotel was very quiet. We had a bed and breakfast option and the food was well prepared and plentiful. A good variety of breakfast types (cooked, cereals, fruit etc) you could also upon request ask for kippers and porridge at no extra cost.
Room was a little tired, chips around the bath and a torn net curtain, however for this price point, these were minor issues and as we were in the room only really to sleep and get dressed and changed, these did not impact our stay. We did have one meal in the bar area (bar menu - not dinner) which was mixed - jacket potatoes were enormous (and great value) yet my steak and mushroom panni was more mushroom than steak - maybe a word to the kitchen there

Everything at the hotel was great. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were very comfortable. Plus we have already booked for next year as we were so pleased with it all. Lovely room that came complete with a bath and a shower ! Great sea view especially good on the night that fireworks were set off in the bay for the launch of the new Steam Packet ferry !
A member of staff I must mention is Lucas that was serving in the breakfast area on the last day of our stay.
Only one issue but a very small one. On the last morning at breakfast the young man Lucas asked me if I wanted breakfast tea or any other, it was the first time that had been asked all week. Thanks Lucas you are a star Plus squeaky floorboards from the floor above our room.

It was very clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, freshly cooked. The bar food was also good value for money and the drink reasonably priced.
The front door was difficult to open, because the automatic mechanism had broken. Part of the reason I booked this hotel, was because of the spa facilities, they were no longer available.
The plug for the bath didn't fit properly, and the plug for the sink didn't hold any water, making it difficult to shave. The kettle was not correct for the base.

The place is in a great location. There is a bus stop nearby, the sea is just in front, everything is within walking distance. The breakfast is really good, and the staff is really helpful.
We went to the restaurant and the piano bar and both had excellent food, we highly recommend the queenies and the beef ciabatta! We will definitely come back.
